Chapter 360: The Emerald Ring

In the darkness of space, not a single soul was around but a tiny darkened orb floating like a speck of dust. It looked lifeless and worthless, but then the area shook, and a faint light appeared.

The light floated around the rob and consumed it whole, combining their bodies into one.

"Ack!" Felissa woke up with a pain in her chest. She grasped her clothes while taking deep breaths since she felt that she had drowned and needed oxygen.

"Lady! She’s awake!" a Theta informed and several of them rushed toward Felissa and did some tests to make sure that she was alright. After everything was done, she was left alone for additional rest before she was released.

"Ugh, what happened?" Felissa muttered while rubbing her head. She felt uncomfortable and thought someone hit her with a bat. She stared at the ceiling and tried to recall her last memory, and Rosina’s face immediately appeared.

Nervousness washed over Felissa’s body, but she couldn’t recollect her conversation with the Queen.

"Ah, I need to apologize to Rosina," Felissa whispered while rubbing her face in frustration. She stood up from her bed, but the Theta’s around stopped her.

"Lady, you’re still not allowed to go out. We need to ensure you’re alright," the Theta desperately said while blocking Felissa’s way.

"You dare tell me what to do?" Felissa stated with glaring eyes, but she had a signature soft smile on her face.

"Huh?" the Theta was confused, but she could feel the intense aura radiating from Felissa. That made her step back, followed by the other Thetas.

"Her Majesty the Queen requested to make sure you’re well enough to—"the other Theta stated, but she was ignored.

"I am well," Felissa replied before wrapping the blanket around her body since her clothes were thin.

The Thetas wanted to stop Felissa but couldn’t because of their rank difference.

Felissa left the room and walked through the hallway, leaning against the wall for support. Her balance was still off, but she was determined to meet Rosina. She glanced outside the window and noticed that it was already nighttime.

"Ah, Rosina must be asleep now," Felissa whispered, changing her plan. She went toward her room, and when she opened the door, she saw Vicenzo sleeping on the bed, half-naked.

Felissa was surprised and out of words. She went inside the room and closed the door behind her silently before walking toward Vicenzo. She stared at his face, and the more she looked, the more handsome he became.

’Oh, my goddess!’ Felissa thought while biting her lips to stop herself from simping over her mate. A smile appeared on her lips before taking off her clothes and lay next to Vicenzo.

"Hmm," Vicenzo hummed, and his body naturally got close to her. He buried his head in her neck and sighed in contentment.

Felissa was awkward at first after throwing a pillow at Vicenzo, but soon, she relaxed, and sleep came over.

The following day, Vicenzo groaned as he was waking up, and the first thing he noticed was that he couldn’t move his left arm. He opened his eyes and saw Felissa sleeping next to him.

Vicenzo was shocked and stared at Felissa’s form in disbelief. He thought his mate hated him and assumed he was hallucinating. He rubbed his eyes a couple of times to make sure that Felissa was real.

"Ugh," Felissa softly groaned and nudged her head closer to Vicenzo in the comfort of his warm body.

Vicenzo nearly fainted in delight but tried his best not to make too much noise and movement. He laid back in bed and accepted his faith that his left arm would have no blood supply. He took the opportunity and stared at his mate’s face for as long as possible.

"You are my dream," Vicenzo whispered, softly caressing Felissa’s cheek. He admired her so much that he nearly went crazy when she left him for a week. After knowing Felissa went to the Mystic pack, he was about to lose his mind since he knew what they were capable of, especially since she was his mate.

Vicenzo closed his eyes as tears wanted to come out. He was overwhelmed by everything that had happened, and his only wish was to be with Felissa. That week made him realize he should no longer delay her marriage to Felissa; she was the only one in his heart.

"I think it’s time," Vicenzo whispered before taking out a box from the drawer and waiting for Felissa to wake up. He knew it was too sudden but didn’t want to waste more time.

Felissa scooted closer to Vicenzo since her wolf liked it, and her body yearned for the mate’s touch. She was starting to get cozy when she realized what she just did. Her eyes burst open, and she first saw a black box with a golden ribbon at the top.

"Huh?" Felissa was confused, and her brain was still lagging. She looked at Vicenzo for an answer, but he hit her with a question.

"I know this is too sudden, but will you marry me?" Vicenzo asked and opened the box, which contained a ring with an Emerald stone in square cut, and there were tiny diamonds on each side.

Felissa gasped and was speechless. She didn’t think Vicenzo would ask for her hand in a very unexpected way, but she appreciated it.

"T-thank you," Felissa replied while staring at the ring. She wanted to say ’yes’ but thought she was still not ready for marriage since everything was still chaotic.

"You don’t have to answer immediately if you want to think about it. I will wait patiently," Vicenzo stated and kissed Felissa’s forehead before giving her the box to keep.

Felissa opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. She grasped the box tightly and looked at Vicenzo, who stood up from the bed. Her eyes widened when she saw him naked.

"Put some pants on," Felissa whispered and looked away, which made Vicenzo chuckle at her cuteness.

"Let’s have breakfast together," Vicenzo said with a grin and held his palm before his mate.

Felissa blushed hard and shyly put her hand into Vicenzo as she was pulled forward, forgetting that she was naked.
