Chapter 356: The Nuisance

Chaos and disaster fell into Mystic pack, and every man fought to defend their life and family. The women and children ran to the underground safe house, but when they got there, a bunch of Sabrecrown knights was already positioned to prevent them from entering.

Lifeless bodies, blood splatters and wounded wolves decorated the area as the war continued. Bombs kept exploding and destroying everything in their path, followed by screams of help and fear.

Felicia stood in place while watching Paku and Piku lying on the grass. She sighed and looked at what was happening to the pack. She wanted to escape to safety but couldn’t leave them alone.

’I must protect them,’ Felicia thought before taking a deep breath and preparing herself for the worst. She transformed herself into her human form so that she wouldn’t be killed if the Sabrecrown knights saw her.

"Gemma," Felicia whispered, remembering she needed to save Gemma too. She bit her lips since she was placed in between to make a decision.

Without hesitation, Felicia decided to eat another pill to activate her deformed wolf. She took both Paku and Piku’s unconscious bodies and put them on her shoulder. She started running toward the direction where Gemma’s house was located.

"Please be safe," Felicia whispered. She could hear the explosions getting bigger and closer. Somehow, her mind thought about Cinzia and what would happen to her.

After a minute of sprinting, Felicia felt an immense pain in her stomach, followed by her head.

"No, not this time," Felicia whispered, fighting the burning feeling inside her. That indicated Felissa wanted to come out and attain control of the body.

"Felissa, give me more time!" Felicia groaned in pain, but that didn’t stop her from moving. Instead, she fastened her pace and hoped that she would arrive in time. All she wanted to do was ensure Gemma was alright before giving the control back to Felissa.

After a while, Felicia could see Gemma’s house from afar, but she stopped when she heard several footsteps. She hid behind the tree and carefully dropped Paku and Piku on the side.

Felicia leaned back to rest a little bit. "I failed my mission," she whispered.

The initial plan was to get information regarding the Mystic Pack’s project and give it to Rosina so they could counter the war without too much bloodshed, but it fell apart.

"I’m too slow. All my plans are useless now... I am useless," Felicia muttered as she stopped herself from breaking down. She was delighted that she could see the world and do what she wanted, but she realized that she had no purpose in life.

"In the end, I’m just another person living inside you," Felissa whispered before closing her eyes. She slowly accepted that she would live in the empty void inside Felissa’s soul for eternity.

The sound of twigs snapped Felicia’s attention and broke her emotional state. It was replaced with survival instinct.

"You’re finally back!" Gemma’s voice was heard.

Felicia sighed in relief to hear Gemma’s voice, and she was safe. She thought Gemma was talking to her, and she went out of her hiding place without thinking that she wasn’t able to transform back into her human form.

To her surprise, Felicia saw Gemma hugging Vicenzo.

"...." Gemma’s eyes widened, and stared at Felicia with fear. She slowly stepped back and tapped Vicenzo’s shoulder to look back. He was facing against Felicia’s direction.

Felicia’s mouth hung open in surprise, followed by fear. She didn’t want Vicenzo to see her hideous side, as he might leave her.

"No, no," Felicia muttered before turning around and was about to run away when she felt a hand grabbed her shoulder. Her body was yanked forward, and Vicenzo stared into her form, intending to kill.

"Monster," Vicenzo stated and growled. He pulled out his sword and was about to pierce Felicia’s heart to kill her, but Gemma interfered.

"No, stop! I know her!" Gemma shouted when she saw the robe Felicia was wearing, it was hers.

"Mother!" Vicenzo stopped and stepped back, but he was still aiming his sword toward Felicia for defence.

On the other hand, Felicia could no longer hear or judge straight. All she could think about was the word ’Monster’ that Vicenzo spoke.

’I am... a monster?’ a voice spoke inside Felicia’s head; it was Felissa. She was hurt by Vicenzo’s words and the way he looked at her.

"Ah!" Felicia staggered backwards as the pain persisted in her head. She could feel every emotion that Felissa felt inside her, which made chaos since their system couldn’t determine which one to follow.

"You know her?" Vicenzo asked and glanced at his mother. He stood in front of her in case they were attacked.

"I don’t know, but that robe is mine. I gave it to a she-wolf from the outside pack, but she doesn’t look like that," Gemma muttered with furrowed eyebrows.

Vicenzo frowned and stared at Felicia’s beast form. "My mate escape Sabrecrown with discretions to go in Mystic pack. We are currently looking for her," he explained.

"Your mate? You finally found her!" Gemma beamed with happiness that his son had found his true love, but they couldn’t enjoy the moment with the current situation. "What’s her name?" she added.

"Felissa," Vicenzo replied lovingly.

"Ah, pity. The one I met was named Felicia," Gemma whispered in dismay.

"We’ll talk later, Mother. We need to kill this monster first," Vicenzo stated sternly as he gritted his teeth.

"Yes, son," Gemma replied and stepped back before returning to her house. She planned to pack her important belongings since Vicenzo wanted to take her back to Sabrecrown.

"Monster... I am a monster," Felicia mouthed the words that Felissa wanted to say. Her voice was hoarse and sketchy, which was hurtful to hear.

Vicenzo didn’t say a word before sprinting toward Felicia. Even though his mother stated that her cloak was hers, it wouldn’t change the fact that the wearer was a beast.

Felicia couldn’t move her feet even though she wanted to. Her instinct told her to run and flee, but Felissa wanted to hug Vicenzo and show him that it was her, his mate. That made the muscles paralyzed in the spot.

Vicenzo noticed that Felicia was not moving and took the opportunity to jab his sword into her stomach. He pulled out swiftly and was about to cut her neck when he heard a faint moan. He turned around and saw two women lying in the grass.

"Ack," Felicia’s knees buckled, and she fell to the ground. Her vision started getting blurry, but she could see blood pooling in her clothes. She felt Vicenzo took her robe away, and she didn’t have the energy to fight back.

Vicenzo used the robe to cover Paku and Piku’s body. He glanced one more time at Felicia before moving to his mother’s house to take her with him.

"Vi-vicen-zo," Felicia whispered faintly before she collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

Her voice halted Vicenzo. He looked back at her dying form and took no pity. With his cold, stern voice, he stated. "Don’t fight death. Your life is already a nuisance in this realm."
