Alpha's Bite Between My Legs -
Chapter 334: The Ache
Chapter 334: The Ache
Rosina watched Felissa look at the bag she was carrying. They were returning to the Palace after their appointment with Rico.
Umm," Felissa squirmed in her seat. She tried her best not to make things awkward between her and Rosina.
"Is something wrong?" Rosina asked with a sly smile.
"I- uh. I wanted to apologize for everything," Felissa whispered in shame with her head down.
"Hmm, alright," Rosina chuckled while shaking her head in amusement.
"Can you give me a few weeks to plan and settle everything before I leave the Palace?" Felissa stated and looked Rosina in the eye. Begging for her to agree.
"Sure, take the time you need, but I don’t want you to stay long in Sabrecrown, knowing that chaos will fall in us soon. I want you to be safe," Rosina smiled sincerely.
"Yes, thank you," Felissa smiled shyly, and a soft blush appeared on her cheeks. She was scared of what would happen to her and Vicenzo, but she was excited about their future together.
When they arrived, Felissa walked straight to her room, where Vicenzo awaited her.
"Felissa!" Vicenzo exclaimed upon seeing his mate. He had been worrying about where Felissa could have been.
"Vicenzo, I’m back!" Felissa stated and went closer toward Vicenzo. She looked at him dearly and saw the concern in his eyes.
"Welcome back," Vicenzo breathed deeply before pulling Felissa closer, feeling her warmth against his skin.
"I know this is too sudden, but we should leave Sabrecrown and build our own future away from here," Felissa informed. She took a deep breath and waited for Vicenzo’s reply. She was nervous since he might reject her offer.
"Alright, if that’s what you wish, but can I ask the reason why?" Vicenzo asked in curiosity. He knew that Felissa was more comfortable beside Rosina since they were close.
"I don’t want to become a burden anymore, especially since they have deeper problems than us," Felissa stated softly. She grabbed Vicenzo’s hand and stared into his eyes. "I want to start a life with you," she added.
"I- I want that as well," Vicenzo leaned forward and kissed Felissa’s forehead. He felt the swarm of tingles in his body with the thought of starting his own family.
"Great!" Felissa exclaimed and hugged her mate. "But how should we do it? If we leave, where will we stay?" she asked in concern. She was troubled since she still had a bad relationship with her parents after learning the truth about their facade.
Vicenzo paused for a few seconds. He noticed Felissa’s eyes stating that she didn’t want to return to the Midnight pack, and he didn’t want to force her.
"We can’t go to my pack since Caj and the previous Queen are there plotting against the Palace. It will be dangerous to even set foot at my mother’s place," Vicenzo stated in frustration. He didn’t want to put his mate in harm.
"I think our best bet is staying in a different pack or here at Sabrecrown," Felissa stepped back while thinking about it. Then a thought came to her mind. "Where is your mother staying?" she asked.
"Huh?" Vicenzo was confused by Felissa’s question but answered it anyway. "My mom is in Mystic pack, but she lives far away from civilization," he replied.
"You haven’t told me about your parents, Vicenzo," Felissa whispered, seeing the shame on Vicenzo’s face.
"I don’t have a good background for you to be proud of me," Vicenzo stated before sitting on the bed.
"I don’t care about your background. I just want to know you deeper," Felissa sat beside her mate and leaned on his shoulder.
Vicenzo sighed deeply. He didn’t want Felissa to know, but he couldn’t escape from it. In the end, he needed to tell her.
"Well, my mom is a mistress of an Alpha," Vicenzo explained and waited for Felissa’s adverse reaction, but he was surprised to see her with a soft smile. That encouraged him to continue.
"When the pack’s Luna knew about their relationship. My mother was sentenced to death, but the Alpha saved her. She was now living on the edge of the Mystic pack’s territory and was not allowed to go near the pack house or contact any of the pack members. Some thought she was dead; others said she became a rogue," Vicenzo added timidly.
"Is she okay?" Felissa asked in concern since staying in Mystic pack for long might be dangerous.
"Yes, the Luna doesn’t know her location, but Caj does," Vicenzo leaned forward and face-palmed. The thought that his mother might be in danger was causing him distress.
"Then we should check if she’s okay!" Felissa exclaimed, wanting to ease her mate’s sorrows and meet her in-law.
"Huh? Felissa, I can’t even step foot near the pack, or they would use me as bait," Vicenzo argued since he had worked so much under Caj and didn’t want to be Caj’s lapdog again.
"I understand," Felissa whispered, looking at the ceiling while her mind worked on a plan.
"I plan to ask the Queen if she can help me retrieve my mother to safety since my identity as a spy is already exposed, and they don’t trust me anymore," Vicenzo sighed deeply and flopped himself on the bed.
"Yes, that will be a good idea, but Rosina has done so much for us. I’m thinking of paying back all the kindness she gives us," Felissa muttered with pursed lips.
"What are you thinking?" Vicenzo asked in curiosity. He sat up and looked Felissa in the eye.
"Well, I’m thinking of going to the Mystic pack through your mother’s place and becoming a spy! Retrieve some information and give it to Rosina!" Felissa exclaimed with a glint in her eyes. She finally found a way to repay Rosina, but she didn’t calculate the danger she would be facing.
"No! Absolutely not!" Vicenzo shouted. His breaths were raging from thinking that Felissa would do something extreme.
"Why not!? It’s not like we will let ourselves get caught!" Felissa argued, and she was starting to get pissed.
"Felissa, sweety. I know Rosina is a great friend of yours, but I know she won’t appreciate it if you will put yourself in peril! Even I don’t want you to do that!" Vicenzo stood up and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"But—" Felissa was about to dispute, but Vicenzo raised his hand to stop her from speaking.
"Enough! I don’t want to talk about it!" Vicenzo exited the room in heavy steps and closed the door with a loud bang.
Felissa breathed out in disbelief, and tears formed in her eyes. She couldn’t believe that Vicenzo would react like that, and the feeling of being caged washed over her.
"Oh, no, no..." Felissa muttered nervously when her head started to ache so bad as if it was splitting in half. Unconsciously, she searched for the white pill that her parents had made her eat to calm down, but she left and threw all of them in the trash.
"Ah! My head!" Felissa yelled in pain while clutching her hair, pulling them in hopes it would reduce the hurt she was feeling.
Slowly, Felissa’s consciousness faded as her body dropped to the floor, but after a few seconds, she rose up as if nothing had happened.
