Chapter 315: The Spy’s Plan

Rosina sat on her office chair and gazed at the dried rose petals on the vase used as a room scent.

"Hmm, 3, 2, 1... 0," Rosina whispered, and immediately a knock on the door was heard. "Come in," she stated.

The door opened, and Vicenzo stared at Rosina’s appearance. He closed the door softly and walked in front of her.

"I don’t want to beat around the bush, Your Majesty," Vicenzo stated before taking a deep breath. What Rosina said in the dining room made him think that Rosina knew the truth, but he wasn’t sure. He felt that it was a warning and a threat if he didn’t comply with what she wanted.

And Vicenzo knew what Rosina desired in the first place.

"What is it, Sir Vicenzo?" Rosina asked with a smirk on her face. She leaned backwards on her chair and waited for Vicenzo to speak.

"My identity," Vicenzo replied and pointed at himself. He was trying to be discreet and wanted to catch Rosina if she knew his purpose of being a Palace knight in the first place.

"I thought you wanted to be direct with me, but you’re just running in circles," Rosina giggled amusingly and looked at Vicenzo smugly. "But I’ll play your game," she added.

Vicenzo’s face hardened. For him, it wasn’t a game but a life-or-death situation for his and Felissa’s life.

"Vicenzo, or should I say, Vicenzo Luro. The bastard son of Mystic pack’s Alpha and the—" Rosina couldn’t continue her words when Vicenzo cut her off.

"DON’T YOU DARE SPEAK ABOUT MY MOTHER!" Vicenzo screamed since it was sensitive to him, and he didn’t want anyone to speak about her mother quickly. It was a trauma response after he heard and saw everything his mother experienced at the hands of the pack members as the Alpha’s mistress.

"Eh," Rosina leaned forward in interest. She wasn’t offended by Vicenzo’s scream. She was rather delighted since it broke the barrier that Vicenzo had tried so hard to keep.

"Hmm, I answered about your true identity. Now it’s my time to ask," Rosina’s smile grew wider as Vicenzo anticipated her question.

"What is it?" Vicenzo responded.

"Do you love Felissa?" Rosina asked softly, but her eyes were squinting at him. She looked deep into his soul and read his facial and body movements.

Vicenzo opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. He nearly answered the truth, but deep inside. He was still clinging to the thought that Rosina didn’t know everything about him and wanted to find a way to get out of the mess without harming Felissa.

’No one knows that my mate is Felissa. I keep it hidden to myself, and besides, Felissa thinks her mate is the grey-haired man, which they don’t know it’s me,’ Vicenzo thought before calming himself and looking intently into Rosina’s eyes.

"I value Lady Felissa as the person I need to protect," Vicenzo replied sternly.

"That’s not what I ask," Rosina sighed deeply before standing up and walking toward Vicenzo. She didn’t remove her eyes from him and was getting annoyed.

"I answered the truth, Your Majesty," Vicenzo replied and bowed.

Rosina stood before Vicenzo, their height only had a slight difference, but with heels, they were equal. "Sir Vicenzo, I knew you were there when I went to a tomb, and you saw how I summoned the soul out from the abyss. Isn’t it amazing?" she asked teasingly.

Vicenzo clenched his fist. He wanted to deny everything, but with his pride, he couldn’t do it. So he chose to remain silent.

"Just think about it, Sir Vicenzo. If I can do that, what do you think I’m capable of doing in a wolf?" Rosina asked with a wide grin. She was getting excited seeing the cold sweat forming on Vicenzo’s forehead.

’She knows!’ Vicenzo thought and gritted his teeth. He felt like a bird trapped inside a cage with no way out.

"As you’ve said, let’s not beat around the bush and go straight to the topic," Rosina whispered before walking backwards and leaning against her table, crossing her arms.

"I love Felissa, Your Majesty," Vicenzo stated while shutting his eyes tightly.

"That’s good to hear. Then what do you want to do now? I believe we don’t have to discuss this since you already have your explanation back in the dining room discussion," Rosina tilted her head. She smiled when he saw Vicenzo’s dedication in his eyes.

"For Felissa’s sake. I will work under your conditions," Vicenzo answered sternly. He didn’t want to do it since it would complicate his task under Caj, but he didn’t mind betraying the people that did him wrong. "But under one condition," he added.

"Tell me," Rosina replied. She had expected it.

"I want a place in Sabrecrown pack where my mother can stay and live safely," Vicenzo stated. He had finally found a way to take his mother away from the Mystic pack.

"I see. They use your mother to make you their dog," Rosina sighed deeply. She wasn’t surprised the enemy used Vicenzo’s mother to threaten him since she did the same using Felissa.

Vicenzo didn’t say a word since what Rosina said was true.

"I can take your mother, but what will you do if they find out she vanished in the pack? It will backfire in your job as their spy, especially since your mother is the key to control you," Rosina stated while thinking about the consequences.

Vicenzo’s eyes widened. He didn’t think about it deeply and thought everything would be okay once Rosina cared for his mother.

"Think about this again, Sir Vicenzo. I will forgive you for being a spy and attacking the 13th pack, endangering Felissa’s life, but I won’t tolerate it again. I will give you three days to think and return to me when you have your own plans. In the meantime, I will keep this between us. I won’t do anything for you and Felissa’s relationship since the problems you created are not my crisis to solve, understood?" Rosina stated everything that needed to be said since she didn’t want to waste time talking in circles.

"Yes, I understand," Vicenzo bowed his head before leaving Rosina’s office. His mind was full of thoughts since Caj had new plans to infiltrate the 13th pack again after a few days, and his job was locating Cinzia’s new chamber.
