Felissa looked at her hand while remembering the spark she felt with the grey-haired man. She yearned to feel it again, and her wolf agreed with her.

"You seem to have a lot of thoughts," Rosina stated after observing Felissa daydreaming in front of her food.

"Ah! I’m sorry. I just remembered something, haha," Felissa replied awkwardly and ate a slice of meat.

"Hmm, do you want to share it with me?" Rosina asked with interest, but she already knew what was bugging Felissa’s mind.

Felissa was hesitant. She looked around at the wolves surrounding them.

Vicenzo and Silvio were there to guard the place while Fina and Idola served the food to their masters. The four of them were the only ones in the dining.

Rosina tilted her head when she realized Felissa didn’t want to say what was on her mind with the wolves around her. So she opened the mind link between them.

’You can talk to me this way,’ Rosina smiled and ate her food without speaking with her mouth.

Felissa flinched in surprise when a voice echoed inside her head. At first, she thought she was going crazy since she wasn’t used to the feeling of mind-linking.

’It’s me, Rosina,’ Rosina sent with a smirk.

Felissa was surprised and excited at the same time. ’Rosina! Ah! Mind-linking is a bit new to me,’ she linked.

’Understandable. So tell me, what’s on your mind? Maybe I can help,’ Rosina linked.

’Umm, this is a bit weird, but do you remember the guy with grey hair?’ Felissa asked shyly.

’Yes, what’s up with him?’ Rosina asked further, and her smirk grew wider.

’I don’t know how to explain, but when I touched him, I felt the spark travel throughout my body!’ Felissa exclaimed in her mind and placed her hand over her face due to embarrassment.

"Maybe he’s your mate," Rosina stated out loud while drinking her warm milk.

"Rosina!" Felissa yelled in surprise that Rosina blurted it out loud for everyone to hear. Her cheeks turned red while she slowly turned around to look into Idola’s face, who beamed with happiness, but Vicenzo was stoic.

"We females don’t have the ability to sense our mate, but it doesn’t mean we are totally hopeless," Rosina stated. She intended to speak about the topic loudly for Vicenzo to hear.

"What do you mean?" Felissa asked in confusion. It was the first time she had heard about it, and she wanted to know the answers to her question.

"Hmm, sparks, scents and attraction. These are the things that a male wolf can feel and use to distinguish their mate from the rest. Although there is one thing left, the pull of fate," Rosina explained while leaning forward. The information she shared took the wolf’s attention and focused on her.

"Pull of fate, what’s that?" Felissa asked. It was the first time she had heard about it, and the excitement grew inside her, thinking there was a way to know who her mate was.

"It’s still unknown to most she-wolves, but we can feel the pull of fate by the mate bond to our mates. We just choose to ignore it since we think it’s only a tingling feeling from the opposite sex," Rosina grinned and glanced at Vicenzo.

"Can you explain further? I find it hard to understand," Felissa scooted closer to Rosina to hear her words clearly.

"Visualize it as a red string that connects us to our mates; this goes on both sides. Once, the male wolf opens his soul to his mate, acknowledging her, even if he doesn’t tell her yet. The female can sense the mate bond and experience the spark every time their skin touch," Rosina stated slowly, making sure that her words were clear and precise.

"No way!" Felissa gasped and giggled while looking at her hand, where she felt the spark with the grey-haired man, but her smile vanished. "That means... my mate is our enemy," she added.

Rosina said nothing and sipped her milk while glancing at Felissa. She didn’t want to spoon-fed Felissa with all the information and let her learn about it herself.

"Rosina, what should I do?" Felissa asked with a troubled voice. She was delighted that she had found a possible mate and acknowledged her, but the fact that he belonged to the enemy’s side made her uncomfortable.

"Why do you ask me that, Felissa. That’s your own decision to make, and I have nothing to say against it," Rosina said softly.

"Yeah," Felissa sighed deeply and drank a considerable portion of the orange juice to cool off her mind.

"If this makes you troubled. You can ask Sir Vicenzo for a suggestion," Rosina recommended with a smirk and faced Vicenzo, whose face hardened.

"Huh?" Felissa was confused and looked at Vicenzo.

"We need a man’s opinion, after all. The same goes for Sir Silvio. They are knights and encounter a lot of enemies on the way," Rosina added as a cover-up to make it looked like less suspicious.

"I see. Then, Sir Silvio and Sir Vicenzo. What should I do if my mate is on the enemy’s side?" Felissa asked with hopeful eyes to hear an answer that would help her at least.

Silvio stepped forward and bowed. "I believe that mates are destined by the Moon Goddess to be together. Even though your mate might be on the enemy’s side doesn’t mean you will reject him. There’s a huge possibility that he’ll come back to you and change sides for your sake," he answered confidently.

"Woah!" Felissa’s eyes sparkled with happiness upon hearing Silvio’s reply. That gave her a bit of hope that everything would be fine. Then, she looked at Vicenzo since it was his turn to give out an answer.

"Lady Felissa, I suggest you should reject him instead," Vicenzo replied coldly, and his eyes had no emotions. His response stunned everyone except Rosina, who was enjoying the scene.

"Why will I reject him? He’s my mate!" Felissa stood up from her seat. The word ’reject’ left a bitter taste on her tongue, and she didn’t like it.
