Chapter 310: The Night of Thunder

Chapter 310: The Night of Thunder

Felissa spent the rest of the day in her room, napping. When she woke up, it was already dark. Idola had put her dinner in her room to eat if she felt like it.

"Ah, it’s already night," Felissa muttered while looking at the moonless sky. For some reason, she felt chills on her spine, but Snow’s affection warmed her.

"Ah! Snow, you must be hungry. Eat this meat!" Felissa exclaimed while giving Snow a chicken leg while petting its head.

Somehow, Felissa felt uncomfortable, and she couldn’t understand why. It was like an itch that she couldn’t scratch.

"Sir Vicenzo must be in his room," Felissa wondered, and her body moved independently. She went outside and went to Vicenzo’s door. She noticed that her surroundings were silent, and less activity was going on.

"Everyone must be sleeping," Felissa sighed and realized she had slept for many hours. She turned around since she didn’t want to disturb Vicenzo when a loud thunder erupted, causing her to flinch in shock.

At the same time, Snow was terrified of the sound and went berserk. Since the door was open, Snow ran out, searching for a place to hide in panic.

"Snow!" Felissa shouted, but her voice was drowned by another thunder. She didn’t hesitate to run and follow Snow, but she glanced at Vicenzo’s room before turning. She wanted to ask for help but didn’t want to disturb him in the middle of the night.

Since Snow had a bright white-colored fur. Felissa was able to see her running. She wanted to shift into her wolf form, but she couldn’t control it yet and was afraid that she would disturb anyone if she howled loudly.

"Snow! Come back!" Felissa shouted, but Snow kept on running until they reached the entrance. She was able to catch Snow and held the puppy in her arms in relief.

"Thank goodness," Felissa whispered and kissed Snow’s head, noticing its body trembling. Her adrenaline finally died down a little, and she witnessed her surroundings.

The smell of blood hit her nose. She immediately looked at the source and found two bodies lying against the wall. They had claw marks on their chest.

Felissa wanted to scream in shock but held her mouth to stop herself from screaming. She lifted Snow and hid behind the pillar for cover. Her heart was beating loudly upon the realization that the 13th pack had been attacked.

’I must warn Rosina!’ Felissa thought and tried to open Rosina’s mind-link, but due to her unstable mind, she wasn’t able to create a good link and couldn’t reach Rosina.

Felissa tried mind-linking Vicenzo, but she couldn’t reach him as well. It was the first time she felt fear in her life, but most of all, she wanted to keep Snow safe.

’I must do something!’ Felissa thought and took a deep breath to gain strength, but her knees were weak, causing her to fall.

"That b^tch is not in her room!" a male voice echoed in the hall, followed by a couple of footsteps.

Felissa shut her mouth and tried rubbing Snow’s scent into her skin to cover her own.

’Please, don’t let them find me!’ Felissa prayed to the Moon Goddess with her eyes closed. She couldn’t help but cry at the situation she was in.

"Found you!" a thrilling voice whispered behind Felissa’s ears, and when she looked up. A man with glowing eyes looked down at her.

Felissa’s body was frozen in fear. She didn’t know if she would run or stay in her spot until help arrived, but Snow’s bark woke her up from her thought. She tightly hugged Snow and used her remaining strength to boost herself away from the enemy.

Although, it wasn’t enough.

"Stop resisting!" the man yelled and pulled Felissa’s hair back, causing her to fall on the floor, but she never let go of Snow.

"Leave me alone!" Felissa screamed and tried shaking the man’s hand away, but her struggles were fruitless.

"If you keep resisting. I’ll kill that dog!" the man screamed menacingly, causing Felissa to stop moving.

Felissa’s eyes widened, and she looked at Snow barking. She didn’t want them to kill Snow, which made her cooperate.

"Now that’s a good wolf!" the man exclaimed, laughing in amusement while Felissa quivered.

Felissa couldn’t see the man’s face due to the darkness, and the candles had been put off. She didn’t dare look further since she focused more on securing Snow.

A couple of men arrived and escorted Felissa outside the Castle. It was raining, yet the thunder was continuously striking. After a few minutes of walking into the forest, she was placed beside the tree and was guarded by several wolves.

"Ah! You got yourself a little girl," a new voice spoke that held much more authority than the other.

"I saw her hiding behind the pillar, Sir," the man stated to explain the situation.

Felissa didn’t know what would happen to her in the hands of an enemy, but one thing she knew about that kind of thing. She will be killed since she was a witness.

"Doesn’t matter. Did you find the Queen?"

"No, she’s not in her chamber when we arrive."

Felissa’s eyes widened when she realized that Rosina might have escaped. She breathed a sigh of relief that Rosina was safe, especially since she was pregnant.

"Did you find the previous Queen’s prison?"

"No, we tried looking everywhere, but to no avail."

’Lady Cinzia? They are looking to set her free!?’ Felissa gasped at the idea that the men who came to the 13th pack were Cinzia’s allies and were an enemy to the new Monarchs.

"Tsk! Useless! Where is that bastard anyway!?" the authoritative voice shouted angrily, making Felissa flinch.

Felissa curled into a small ball when the cold wind hit her bare skin to keep Snow warm. She was trying not to make any sound to gain attention, but Snow had another idea.

Snow started barking when the men around began to get nearer. It was a protective stance to protect its master. Although, it caught the awareness of the males around them.

"Ah, let’s play with this little girl while we wait for that bastard," the authoritative man stated with a grin and walked closer to Felissa. He yanked Snow from her hand and gazed at the puppy.

"No! Give Snow back!" Felissa shouted and jumped to get Snow from the man, but he held Snow higher, so she couldn’t reach her pet.

"A wolf with a dog! How amusing!" the man laughed in amusement at how Felissa desperately tried to get the puppy from him.

In that scenario, Felissa could take a good look at the man. He wore a full black suit that blended in the darkness, and his face was covered with a mask to hide his identity, but his murky, green eyes caught her attention.

It was the detail that struck Felissa’s head.

"Enough!" a booming voice spoke from behind. The dominance it radiated made some men around step back, but not the one who held the puppy.

"You’ve finally arrived... bastard," the man stated, dropping Snow on the ground, which Felissa caught and held dearly.
