Chapter 306: The Cute Snow

Vicenzo immediately grabbed Felissa’s waist and pulled her backwards to keep her safe. He used his body as a barrier if something happened.

Felissa gripped Vicenzo’s shirt tightly while peeking to the side to see what it was.

"Lady Felissa, please stand back. I need to fight," Vicenzo whispered and shrugged his shoulder, indicating for her to let him go.

Felissa let go of his shirt and stepped back. She felt chills on her back when the bush in front of them rustled.

They were tensed and prepared themselves for what was about to come. Vicenzo aimed his sword in that direction and was ready to kill whatever creature it was.

"It’s coming!" Felissa exclaimed when the rustle got louder.

Vicenzo raised his sword, and the creature finally exited the bush.

It was a puppy.

"Ah!" Vicenzo was able to stop wielding his sword when he saw the harmless animal.

"Stop!" Felissa shouted and hurriedly approached the puppy, who growled in defence, but its tail was between its legs.

Vicenzo sighed in relief before putting back his sword. He watched as Felissa tried to gain the puppy’s trust.

"Lady Felissa, you should be careful. It might bite you," Vicenzo stated. He wanted to leave the puppy behind, but Felissa was into it.

"No, I want to take it with me," Felissa smiled brightly before crouching down and started calling the puppy to come closer to her.

The puppy was scared at first but after a few minutes. It started walking toward Felissa.

"Ah! So cute!" Felissa beamed with happiness. She lifted the puppy and walked toward Vicenzo. "Let’s go," she added before walking away.

Vicenzo didn’t say a word, but his heart felt a pang of jealousy that Felissa was rubbing the puppy’s head. His wolf was yearning for the same attention from her.

When they got back to the camp, Rosina saw the puppy.

"Wah! Where did you get this little cutie?" Rosina stated and created whistling noises to attract the puppy’s attention, but her strong and dominating aura scared the puppy.

"In the bushes. We thought it was a dangerous animal at first," Felissa stated with a laugh.

"Ah, I guess this cute one doesn’t like me a bit," Rosian commented before backing out. She looked at Vicenzo with squinted eyes. "Also, did the two of you go somewhere alone?" she asked.

Felissa instantly flinched and glanced at Vicenzo. She didn’t want him to tell Rosina about her peeing, but Vicenzo didn’t get the hint.

"Lady Felissa was in dire need to release—"Vicenzo was stopped by Felissa with a loud laugh.

"HAHAHA! NO! WE DON’T!" Felissa grinned and nudged Vicenzo to get along with her.

"I see. The food is ready. You can eat, and we’ll travel again," Rosina stated and gestured for them toward the makeshift table.

Everyone was eating and resting to conserve their energy since they would take several days to arrive.

"Sir Vicenzo, please don’t tell anyone about my privacy," Felissa whispered when she settled down on the log, and Idola placed a bowl of soup.

"It was the Queen who was asking," Vicenzo replied. For him, he should tell Rosina the truth; also, it was his way of showing that he was honest while spying on the back.

"I see," Felissa sighed and didn’t want to argue anymore. Her focus was shifted to the little dog. "Ah, Idola. Can you bring me a piece of meat for this puppy?" she asked.

"Sure, Lady Felissa," Idola nodded and glanced at the furry white-colored dog before running to get some food.

"I wonder what’s this puppy’s gender," Felissa muttered, lifting the dog to see it was a female. Her eyes widened, and she cuddled the puppy in her arms.

"Lady Felissa, you should eat first, and that dog needs a bath," Vicenzo commented coldly and glared at the puppy. Inside him, his wolf was baring its teeth and growling in jealousy.

"It’s alright," Felissa stated before putting the dog on her lap and started eating. When Idola arrived, she fed the dog.

After an hour, everyone returned to the carriage and prepared for the journey.

Felissa put the puppy on her carriage and patted its head. "I should think of a name. Hmm, your fur is white and fluffy. I will call you Snow!" she beamed with happiness and hugged Snow.

Vicenzo’s eyes twitched in jealousy while looking from the outside. Although, he liked the name of the puppy.

Two days had passed, and they were closer to the 13th pack.

"We will arrive there tomorrow morning," Rosina said while biting the hardened bread.

"That’s great!" Felissa exclaimed in relief. She wanted to submerge herself in warm water and enjoy the bath.

Rosina smiled and watched Felissa cradle Snow in her arms while patting its fur softly.

"You have become attached to Snow," Rosina smiled and tried to pet the puppy, but it was still scared of her.

"Yeah, I’ve never had a pet before, and Snow came perfectly," Felissa giggled and gave her piece of meat to Snow. "Don’t worry, Snow will warm up to you soon," she added, noticing that Snow would tremble every time Rosina got closer.

"It’s alright," Rosina smiled and ate her food. She knew no animals would dare come to her due to the aura she secreted. After all, her demonic powers started to light up in her soul.

"Felissa, you should take care of Snow. Always keep her on your eyes reached. After all, you have someone to protect, making you vulnerable. " Snow became your weakness," Rosina added, looking at the cute puppy licking Felissa’s hand.

Felissa was taken aback by Rosina’s words. She didn’t expect Rosina to say something deep and open her eyes to reality. She imagined Snow would be harmed, and that was enough to lose her mind.

"Don’t worry, Rosina. I’ll make sure to keep Snow safe!" Felissa exclaimed and hugged Snow tightly. She promised herself to protect Snow even if it cost more than her life.
