Felissa’s body was shaking. Her mind was blank while staring at the floor. She couldn’t utter a single word since her tongue was stuck.

It didn’t take Rosina long before realizing that Fabio had been terrorizing Felissa.

"Why?" Rosina asked and crossed her arms.

"Ah, well. We want to get married as fast as possible. I adore my mate so much," Fabio stated loudly and hugged Felissa’s waist, making her squeak in shock.

"Interesting. Lady Felissa said that she doesn’t have a mate," Rosina replied with a raised eyebrow. She could end the conversation by rejecting Fabio’s marriage proposal, but she was concerned that he wouldn’t leave Felissa alone.

"Haha! She’s just nervous. After all, she won’t come here if she’s unmated, right?" Fabio stated and pinched Felissa’s side to force her to say something, but Felissa remained silent.

Rosina sighed and massaged her temples. Her anger rose, and she couldn’t bear to see Felissa having a hard time. If she was back in her old day, she would kill Fabio without a second thought right there and then, but she was holding second to the highest title.

The crown’s weight restricted Rosina’s movement, and she didn’t enjoy it. Because of that, she needed to find another way.

"Lady Felissa, is this man your mate?" Rosina asked firmly. Her eyes squinted while waiting for Felissa to reply.

"No—" Felissa wasn’t able to continue her answer when Fabio spoke.

"Yes, I am her mate without a second doubt!" Fabio raised his voice to overshadow Felissa’s answer.

"I’m not asking you, Lord Fabio," Rosina snapped back. She couldn’t contain herself and glared at Fabio before returning to her calm manner.

Felissa flinched at Rosina’s voice. She was breathing heavily. She didn’t want Rosina to be involved in her issues because she was weak. Her head started to get dizzy, and her vision began to blur.

All that time, Felissa’s wolf was screaming one name— Vicenzo.

"I am Lady Felissa’s mate. I can answer for her," Fabio fought back. He was confident since he was a noble and had power with wealth.

Rosina’s facial muscles twitched at his response. She was shocked at Fabio’s audacity to push the idea that Felissa was his mate even though the truth was over his face.

’Should I kill this man right here?’ Rosina thought and debated the consequences of every option she had in mind.

But with all these problems, Felissa was the only one who could solve them in the end.

The atmosphere became unnerving as everyone was thinking of their own plans in their mind.

Felissa blamed herself once more. She wanted to stand up for herself, but it was hard for her to do so.

"I’m... not your... mate," Felissa whispered, but Fabio pinched her side to make her shut up.

"ENOUGH!" Rosina stood up immediately after she had seen what had happened. She couldn’t bear to see the pain on Felissa’s face.

"No true mate will dare hurt their partners for their own desires!" Rosina’s voice boomed inside the room. She was angry, and her powers started flicking inside after Fabio triggered them.

Fabio gritted his teeth. He hated that Rosina dared to act mighty in front of him. He only sees her as the King’s woman that only served as a bed warmer and baby maker.

"Your Majesty, you have no right to cross the Moon Goddess’s decision of mates. We are destined with each other," Fabio replied, ignoring Rosina’s words. He wouldn’t back down so easily and wanted to get what he wanted the most.

"No, stop this," Felissa whispered. Her head was lowered, and they couldn’t see her facial expression. She had a hard time trying to fight her consciousness before they could see her other side.

Upon hearing what she said, Fabio glared at her but chose to disregard it.

Rosina noticed that something was going on with Felissa based on the scent she smelled from her. She sighed and looked straight into Fabio’s eyes.

"No, I won’t allow this marriage," Rosina decided before grabbing Felissa’s arm and pulling her away, but Fabio held her tight.

Rosina and Fabio glowered at one another. Their dominance was pouring out of their pores due to their title differences. It seemed as if Fabio was challenging Rosina’s status.

Fabio felt chills run down his spine the longer she stared into Rosina’s eyes. He felt as if she was staring straight into his soul. After a few seconds, he lowered his gaze and stepped back.

"I apologize for my rude behavior, Your Majesty. I was moved by my own emotions that I challenged your dominance. I’m sorry, please forgive me," Fabio stated and bowed down at 90 degrees angle.

Rosina tilted her head to the side and tried calming herself since her wolf was clawing to strangle Fabio.

"Don’t assault Lady Felissa again, Lord Fabio. I’ll accept your apology, but if I catch you hurting her again. I won’t give you any mercy," Rosina stated sternly, emphasizing her words.

"Yes, Your Majesty," Fabio replied, keeping his head down.

"Good. I hope you accept your true mate, Lord Fabio. She will be heartbroken if you continue rejecting her," Rosina indicated about Lady Dona, which she saw back on the dance floor.

Fabio flinched upon hearing Dona’s name, and his wolf was whining since it wanted to feel its mate’s touch.

Rosina pulled Felissa out of the room and left Fabio there. She was in a bad mood and wanted to vent out her anger. Her mind created different scenarios about Fabio’s blood dripping from her hand.

"Rosina..." Felissa called out to get Rosina’s attention. She looked up at her with wide eyes, trying to stop the tears from falling.

Rosina snapped out of her thoughts of murdering Fabio and glanced at Felissa. She realized that she was going in the dungeon’s direction.

"Shh, don’t cry. You must be tough to deal with all the hardships," Rosina stated and cupped Felissa’s face, kissing her on the lips.
