Chapter 288: The D1ckhead [Reward Chapter]
Rosina saw in her peripheral vision that Felissa was dragged by Fabio away from the crowd. She could sense that her friend was in trouble, but she couldn’t get away and follow them since it would look suspicious.
"Is something wrong?" Draco asked when he noticed Rosina’s troubled expression.
"Hmm, seems like our rules are not taken seriously by others, and they still want to do political marriages," Rosina stated and raised an eyebrow. She was expecting something like that to happen. After all, it was harder for some wolves to cope.
"Haha! I’m not even surprised," Draco laughed in amusement. He took it lightly since he didn’t want to swell into Rosina’s plans and decisions regarding the Mating Event. All he needed to do was support her on the side. "So, do you know several of them?" he asked.
"I believe your quick observation skills have caught up something," Rosina grinned since she was always amazed by Draco’s quickness to catch what was happening.
"Ah, you wanna play this game? Let’s see, your dear friend, Lady Felissa, seems to have a little mate problem," Draco whispered and gestured toward a specific direction using his mouth, which Rosina found adorable.
"Ah, yes. She does have one," Rosina chuckled, and simultaneously, the dance ended. All wolves on the dance floor curtsied at one another before returning to rest.
Draco bid his goodbye to the guests and reasoned that he needed to do office work, but he was leading up a team that was currently patrolling around the pack.
"Be safe," Draco whispered before kissing Rosina’s forehead and left the venue.
"Take care," Rosina smiled before looking at her husband’s back and walking away from her. She sighed and sat back on her throne, leaning on her knuckles while looking at the guests. She was eyeing them one by one and looked straight into their soul.
Vanda appeared out of nowhere and waved at Rosina. She stood before her, holding a plate of pasta. She didn’t say a word and curtsied at Rosina before walking toward the direction where Felissa was located.
Rosina eyed her. She put her trust in Vanda that she would do what was best for the realm. She sighed deeply and gazed at her, hoping for the best.
"Now, where are they?" Vanda stated while looking around. She was enjoying her food, but then an emergency came, and she needed to interfere. She heightened her senses to look for Felissa, and it didn’t take long before she did.
"Stop!" Felissa’s voice was heard, but it was a muffle.
Vanda went there and saw Fabio trying to remove Felissa’s clothes. They were in the area where thick trees and bushes were grown.
"Tsk," Vanda rolled her eyes. She didn’t like what she was seeing.
The two didn’t notice Vanda’s presence since their attention was on one another.
Vanda took her part and tripped on her feet, throwing her plate of pasta into Fabio’s head.
"What the heck!" Fabio exclaimed in surprise. He felt something slimy and saw the pasta falling from his head into his clothes.
"Oops, I tripped," Vanda stated with an awkward laugh. She stood up and dusted her gown while acting confused. "What are you two doing here?" she asked.
"It’s none of your business!" Fabio yelled and tried to shake the pasta from his head.
Felissa breathed in relief and hurriedly went behind Vanda as protection. She tried her best to cover up her shoulder where several parts of the dress were torn apart.
"Hmm, well, whatever," Vanda shrugged and turned around. She looked at Felissa’s appearance, and her blood started to boil. She breathed out slowly to calm her nerves.
"Wait! You should pay for my clothes. These are expensive!" Fabio exclaimed and showed the stain on the fabric. His eyes were blazing with anger since his entire attire was ruined.
"Oh, I will pay you, but you must pay for your wrongdoings as well," Vanda stated, punching Fabio straight in his nose.
"ACK!" Fabio screamed in pain, and his body flew back.
Vanda used the time and grabbed Felissa’s arm, dragging her away from Fabio.
"If anyone asks your whereabouts. Tell them you are with me," Vanda grinned while looking back at Felissa, who remained speechless.
Felissa was still shocked at what had happened, and she couldn’t help but be afraid of what other things Fabio could do to her.
"I— I don’t want to get back there," Felissa whispered, indicating the Palace. Her dress was torn, and she didn’t want to appear like a laughing stock.
"Ah, poor wolf," Vanda stated with pity before hugging Felissa tightly. She knew what happened would leave a scar on Felissa’s soul and might affect her mentality from now on.
Felissa’s body was shaking. Her tears had dried up, and all left was void in her chest.
"Don’t pity me, please. It’s my fault for not fighting back," Felissa stated weakly. She blamed herself for sticking to the ’innocent’ manner she always brought with her. She was afraid to have a bad image for the sake of her pack but ended up harming herself.
"You should stand up for yourself and not let anybody take advantage of you," Vanda put her hands on her waist.
"I know. I tried telling him that, but it’s useless," Felissa reasoned out since she had talked to Fabio about her feelings, but it was too late for her.
"Well, that guy has serious mental problems," Vanda commented, pulling Felissa to her. "We should go back. Rosina is worried about you," she added and dragged her along.
Felissa was surprised that Vanda called Rosina by her name without a title. That meant they were close enough to do that, but she didn’t ask further since she had tons on her plate.
Upon entering the venue, the guests lessened, and most wolves dancing around was unmated. They were flirting with one another and enjoyed the night before returning to their everyday lives tomorrow.
"Before taking you to another room. Let’s fix your dress," Vanda grinned before pulling Felissa with her again.
