Chapter 269: The Origin
Chapter 269: The Origin
Two days after the coronation ceremony, everything went back to normal, but the nobles had fear in their hearts.
And fear led to anger.
Silently, the nobles started going together in secret to talk about the new Monarch’s leadership, especially Rosina. That silent rebellion was led by the Mystic pack since their daughter was shamed in public, and they wanted revenge in the future.
By that, Draco had already thought about the enemy’s next move, but he wanted them to move their piece first to counter and destroy them.
In the meantime, Draco wanted to focus on keeping Rosina safe. He knew she was capable of doing things in her own way, but after learning all the efforts, she made for him. Draco wanted her to rely on him.
"I should see her," Draco muttered after finishing the last papers he needed to sign. He felt mentally drained after all the paperwork he did throughout the whole day.
Draco went out of the room and met Rosina in the garden, where she was cutting the roses.
"My love, what are you doing?" Draco asked upon seeing several roses cut from their stem. Fina was at the side, picking up the leaves.
"Hmm, I’m using the time to think," Rosina replied and smiled at Draco, ushering him to sit before her.
"And what are you thinking?" Draco asked with interest. He touched the roses and dared not ask about Rosina’s behavior.
"I’m thinking about what to do to excite the pack and set out rules for the internal affairs," Rosina replied and leaned forward. "Draco, I want to ban the marriage between two wolves that are not mates," she said.
"Huh? Why?" Draco raised an eyebrow and wanted to hear more about the proposal.
"Simple. Our werewolf powers are diminishing as years go by due to political and practical marriages. If it continues, our future generation will be ruined," Rosina replied with a heavy sigh.
"That’s a good point. There will be fewer problems with marriages and divorces if they are mated with their true mate," Draco stated with a nod, agreeing with Rosina’s idea.
"I know, and I think the first step is conducting a Mating Event. This will also be the right time to introduce them to our child," Rosina stated softly while rubbing her belly, hidden with the thick fabric.
"Our... baby," Draco whispered in shock. He breathed out heavily upon feeling the warmth on his chest. He felt good that Rosina included him in her words.
"Yes, ours," Rosina giggled as she found Draco’s reaction cute.
"Okay, let’s do it," Draco replied and cleared his throat while looking at the other side. He didn’t want Rosina to see that he liked it.
"That’s easy for you to decide," Rosina giggled in amusement at how Draco said ’Yes’ to her idea immediately.
"Anything for you, my love," Draco replied with a grin. He grabbed Rosina’s hand and caressed the stumbles on her skin. "I will give you the world, Rosina," he added and kissed her knuckle.
Rosina gasped at Draco’s words, and love poured out of his pores. She smiled and pulled him close, capturing his lips.
After all the doubts Rosina had with herself and her mate, Draco. She didn’t expect to be officially married and create a family instead of being alone, away from the pack.
All of Rosina’s ideals before were about men and their nasty ways, Draco was one of them, but he showed that all people could change if they wanted to.
"Then I’ll have that world with you," Rosina said gently. She stood up and went beside Draco, sitting on his lap.
Fina immediately turned her back and walked a few steps away to give the two some privacy.
"I love that," Draco replied, kissing Rosina’s cheeks lovingly.
"Then I’ll start the preparations. I want to make it simple but elegant," Rosina stated and imagined the place she had in mind. "Although, I want to change something else," she added.
"What is it?" Draco raised an eyebrow and pulled Rosina’s body closer to him.
"Well, since I want them to marry their mates. I’ll open the Palace gates to all werewolves at the age of 18 to find their mates, and they have three days to party and have fun. After that, they have to decide what to do with their own lives after they present their partners to me. I want to hold this event every year for each batch," Rosina stated while thinking about her plan.
"Hmm, but if you’re going to invite everyone. We need a lot of space for them to occupy their stay," Draco stated while rubbing his chin.
"Then, we need to start earlier," Rosina giggled and leaned her head on Draco’s shoulder.
"Also, what will you do if they present a wolf that is not their mate? Do you have a plan for that?" Draco asked and looked at Rosina suspiciously.
"See this," Rosina pointed at her left eye. "Somehow, this power of mine comes back, but it’s currently unstable. It’s an ability to see someone’s mate and maybe a future together. I’m not quite sure, but I’ll use it to determine if the couple are mates; if not, I’ll reject their proposal," Rosina stated with a shrug. For her, it was nothing, but Draco was amazed by it.
"You are blessed with an amazing ability. It looks like you’re the Moon Goddess’s apprentice in one of her job," Draco stated with a smile of pride for her.
"Huh?" Rosina tilted her head. She didn’t pay attention to it, but with Draco’s words, she realized that the power was similar to how the Moon Goddess selected a mate for everyone, and she could distinguish them.
"It’s like a connection. It’s amazing, but I’ll pass on asking where you get it. Although I’ll accept every part of you, Rosina, my love," Draco whispered and kissed Rosina’s earlobe.
Rosina forced a smile and hid her face from Draco.
Vanda was the one who gave Rosina a second life. Incredible powers and abilities appeared occasionally, and they involved her.
That made Rosina question Vanda’s origin.
