Chapter 259: The Mons Pubis
"Ugh, my head," Rosina groaned as she was woken up by the sunlight from her room window. She was in a white-colored room mixed with gold when she opened her eyes. The windows were open, letting the cool, fresh air enter the room.
"Where am I?" Rosina whispered and sat up. She looked at the side table and saw a glass of water. She immediately drank it to quench her thirst.
Rosina put the glass down and began inspecting the room. The memories started sinking into her brain, and she remembered what had happened before she lost consciousness.
"Oh, no!" Rosina exclaimed and lifted the thick blanket to see she was in a silk nightgown. She pulled her clothes and saw the mating mark on her mons pubis.
"F^ck! For all d@mn places! He marked me on my p^ssy area!" Rosina gasped in disbelief. She rubbed her face in frustration since she was bound to a bond she didn’t want.
Hatred began to boil inside Rosina’s body at how Draco forced her into something she didn’t want. She grabbed a pillow and put it on her face as she screamed so loud, but the pillow absorbed the noise.
"AHHHHH!!!! JUST F^CKING KILL ME!!!" Rosina screamed, and tears fell into her eyes. She felt a set of invisible chains prevented her from living the life she wanted.
She felt trapped... again.
Rosina heard haste footsteps scurrying into her room. She immediately laid back on the bed, acting as if she was still asleep.
The door burst open, and a familiar smell of Pine entered the room.
"Rosina!" Draco exclaimed to see if Rosina had been awake after seven days of unconsciousness.
"Call the Theta," Draco instructed a servant. He felt something on his chest a minute ago. It wasn’t his emotion, but it was from Rosina, which made him think she had woken up.
After a few seconds, the Theta came running to the room to look at Rosina’s condition.
"Alessa, is she okay?" Draco asked in concern.
Rosina made sure that her heartbeat was steadied and made it look like she was fast asleep.
Alessa, the Theta, grabbed Rosina’s arm and felt her pulse. After a minute, she carefully put it down and faced Draco.
"Queen Rosina’s body is still rejecting the mark. She will be healed completely if she accepts the mate bond," Alessa explained before nodding and leaving the room to give privacy to Draco and Rosina together.
"Rosina, you must hate me a lot for what I did," Draco muttered and swayed a hair strand away from Rosina’s face.
Draco glanced at the empty glass of water on the bedside table. He could see the droplets sliding on the glass, which made him conclude that Rosina had drunk water minutes ago.
"I see. Rosina, I’m sorry I forced the mark on you, but I want you to understand that it’s for the best. I’ll be waiting for you," Draco whispered and silently bit his lips, enough to draw blood.
Draco was guilty of what he did but tried to suppress it since he was now the New King of the Werewolf realm. His responsibilities were piling up. He left Rosina’s room and left her at ease.
When Rosina felt that Draco was gone. She opened her eyes and sat up.
"The audacity of him saying those words," Rosina muttered in disbelief. She looked at the opened window and the curtain swaying to the cool air.
Rosina sighed. She noticed no guards around her to ensure she wouldn’t leave the place.
"He must be confident about the mate bond," Rosina muttered before standing up and facing the gigantic mirror. Her eyes grew wider when she saw her reflection.
"I’m back," Rosina whispered while touching her face. "What Draco said is true. The mate bond releases me from my own powers," she added in surprise.
Rosina couldn’t help but smile. One of her problems was solved, but another one came up.
"The question is.... Do I still have my powers?" Rosina asked herself and looked at her palm. She focused her energy on creating a black flame, but nothing appeared.
"Oh, no... no... no," Rosina began to panic when she tried multiple times, but her power was gone. She grabbed her neck and felt the necklace’s pendant.
Rosina bit her finger and put blood on the pendant to create a portal, but the charm was unresponsive.
"No, impossible. My powers are gone... no!" Rosina’s hands trembled as she took a step back. The emotions overwhelmed her since she was used to having something under her sleeves.
"Vanda! Show yourself! Vanda!" Rosina shouted and looked around the room. She wanted answers, and she knew she could get them from Vanda.
"You’re so loud," Vanda’s voice was heard inside the room.
"Vanda! You’re here!" Rosina exclaimed and ran toward her.
"What’s the matter? It’s too early for me!" Vanda yawned and slumped into Rosina’s bed, getting comfy with the bedsheets.
"My powers are gone!" Rosina exclaimed in frustration and showed Vanda that she couldn’t create a black flame.
"Hmm, it’s normal, Rosina. You were revived from death and had gotten a demon’s power, but the mark reversed your powers and turned you back into a regular noble Werewolf," Vanda explained with a shrug.
"Wait... Does that mean I can’t do the things I used to do?" Rosina asked as her shoulders slumped in defeat.
"Yes, you can’t, but that doesn’t mean you’re weak. The physical and mental strength you have remains. Only the power of the demon is gone," Vanda smirked at how Rosina was disappointed that she couldn’t do whatever she wanted, unlike before.
"I understand now," Rosina replied with a nod. She held her bulging belly covered in her dress.
"I know you will become a good mother," Vanda said softly.
"I wanted to use my powers to know who is the father of this child while it’s still in my belly, but now, I can’t," Rosina sighed in defeat. She couldn’t use her powers to determine her child’s blood while in her demon form.
That was why Rosina wanted her powers back.
