Chapter 254: The Day Ends With You [Reward Chapter]

Rosina spent most of her time in the forest, hunting food and gathering necessities for her life there. She settled on the mountain’s giant tree and carved it inside to create a hidden home for her.

Somehow, Rosina wondered if she would appear in front of Draco in that appearance and tell him the truth or if she would remain there and leave him alone.

At that distance, Rosina could see the progress of the new Sabrecrown pack and the rebuilding of new homes from the burnt ones. Seeing that Draco was ruling the pack well, she didn’t have the strength to come back and might ruin it for him.

"Don’t worry, I will raise you well," Rosina muttered and caressed her stomach. It had been three months since the last time she saw Draco.

Rosina yearned for him every day and for the first time in her life. She felt the pain of being away from Draco was hurting her.

Currently, Rosina was fetching a bucket of water from the river. It was a bit far, but she could quickly fly to the area. On her side was a wild rabbit she had hunted earlier and a basket of wild fruits and vegetables.

"This will last me a day or two," Rosina stated and scoped the water using a tree trunk she had carved as a container. She was humming a gentle lullaby and enjoying the peacefulness of the place when she heard a footstep.

Rosina’s head snapped to the side, but she saw no one. The fog was thick that day, which made it hard for her to see if someone was nearby.

She slowly put the container on the ground and crouched down to heighten her senses.

’Someone is here,’ Rosina thought when she felt a couple of steps for several wolves around. She wasn’t expecting someone to venture on that side of the forest since it was dangerous due to its terrain and wild animals, which Rosina had fought and hunted before.

Rosina glanced back at the river and hurriedly jumped toward the nearest thick bush to hide, forgetting the wooden container.

’They might be thirsty,’ Rosina thought while squinting her eyes to see who it was.

After a few minutes, a group of wolves appeared, and some were in their human form. They went to the river and supplied their water storage.

Rosina sighed in relief since they looked like travellers that wanted to explore that part of the forest, and she let them. She didn’t want to scare them away if she showed up since it could lead to disarray, and she would lose the home she had built.

’I better go back home,’ Rosina thought before touching her pendant. She planned to use a portal for easy access to her place.

"Look, what is that?" a voice stated, which made Rosina stop moving.

Rosina peeked quickly and saw two men in black hoods pointing at the wooden container. She tried smelling their scent, but she sensed nothing.

’They’re concealing their scents! This is bad news!’ Rosina thought, and her instincts told her to get away to protect herself and her baby.

"Someone is here! Find whoever it is!" a familiar voice spoke firmly, and his men followed him.

Rosina gasped in shock while staring at the man before her. His voice brought memories back to her like a splash of waves. After three months of not hearing it, she couldn’t forget how it sounded.

"Draco," Rosina whispered unconsciously, but she hurriedly put her hands into her mouth to stop herself from making more noise. She crouched lower to make sure her whole body was completely hidden.

The man faced Rosina’s direction, which made his face visible to her.

A tear fell from Rosina’s eyes when she finally witnessed the face she yearned for every night and day. She wanted to jump straight at him and feel his touch again, but she couldn’t.

Rosina kept telling herself that she couldn’t be with Draco if her appearance stayed the same. The Werewolf realm would be in total chaos upon knowing she was a demon that killed their families and friends in the last war.

Draco looked around when he heard a tiny voice. He was sure it sounded similar to Rosina, but he had hallucinated about her for the last few months when he couldn’t find her.

"Ugh, It’s getting worst," Draco muttered and rubbed his face. He was only seeing images of Rosina whenever he went, and at that time, he thought he was hearing her voice due to longing.

Glancing back at the wooden container, Draco was sure someone was in that forest since the wood was still new, and he wanted to know who it was.

Draco had set up a team to search for Rosina in the first week that she was still missing, but their mission failed most of the time, and after three months, he had enough. He finished the paperwork he needed to fill out for the pack before going out to find Rosina.

"Rosina!!!" Draco shouted, and his voice echoed in the forest area. He was breathing heavily due to the dense air but tried to adjust his body. "Rosina, come back to me!" he added.

Rosina closed her eyes and bit her hand to prevent herself from making any noise since she was crying. She was frustrated about her situation, and she couldn’t do anything.

’I need to get back,’ Rosina thought before opening a portal and hurriedly jumping inside to hide in her home.

But Rosina made a mistake. She didn’t realize that her blood splattered on the grass, which caused a metallic scent. Even though the smell was minimal, Draco was able to identify it.

"Rosina!?" Draco exclaimed when he sniffed in the air. He ran to the thick bushes but saw no one, only a drop of blood on the grass.

"Rosina is here... but why did she run away?" Draco asked himself, but he had no time to think about the answer. He wanted to find Rosina and ensure she would be with him before the day ended.
