Chapter 246: The Crown Prince Appearance

Chapter 246: The Crown Prince Appearance

Rosina watched the chaos happening before her with her legs crossed. The undead armies slaughtered every living wolf in front of them without mercy.

"Ah, what a sight," Rosina whispered in bliss. She grabbed her cup of warm milk and took a sip, sighing in delight. In front of her was the mummified body of the woman she had killed. Rosina blew her a kiss, and the body moved into one of her undead armies.

"HAHAHAHA! This is the best day of my life!!!" Rosina exclaimed and clapped her hands. The happiness and satisfaction burst into her chest.

"AHHH!" the screams of the living wolves were everywhere. They were calling for help while some fought back.

Some knights came from the Palace that assisted several nobles out of the area and took refuge inside.

"How amusing. The nobles get shelter, while the poor are left to die. Well, my gain," Rosina commented with a shrug.

"Miss! Why are you sitting here!? It’s dangerous! Come with us!" a knight approached Rosina with a frantic look of concern and dread.

Rosina was surprised. She was mostly ignored by the living wolves, but the knight took his time to get her. An idea occurred in her head.

"Where are we supposed to go? We’re all going to die anyway," Rosina stated softly, sounding like someone who had lost all hope to live. "Look around you," she added and finished her milk that turned cold.

The knight gritted his teeth and forcefully dragged Rosina with him. The undead knights saw what happened and were about to follow Rosina, but she signalled them to stop and continue their killing spree.

"We are going to the Palace. The Monarchs opened their doors for their pack members," the knight stated firmly before dropping Rosina in the cart full of other wolves.

"Don’t you think those creatures will not attack the Palace?" Rosina asked and gestured toward the undead.

"The Palace already mind-linking the other packs to assist us. We will be safe," the knight replied and gave Rosina a soft smile.

"What is your name?" Rosina asked curiously. She was amused by the man, and somehow, he got her interested.

"Devon, My name is Devon, miss," he said and whistled to the coachman to go since the cart was already full.

Rosina waved at the knight Devon, who went to save the other wolves alive.

"Ah, what a nice man," Rosina commented with a giggle. She sat comfortably and looked at who was with her.

The cart was full of she-wolves in their expensive attires. They were looking at Rosina with disgust since, in their eyes, she was a mere ordinary wolf living in the city of nobles. Someone irrelevant to the pack.

Rosina smiled at them but was ignored and even received a sneer of distaste. For them, Rosina should be separated from their cart.

’Ah, seems like they don’t like me,’ Rosina smirked and shook her head in amusement. After all, they would become the undead food sooner or later.

When Devon arrived, Rosina thought of a new plan to help her enter the Palace discretely. She knew the Monarchs were already planning their counterattack.

As they got closer to the Palace walls. Rosina saw the huge barricades with thorns on them to use against the undead. The knights were scattered around preparing the catapults and arrows.

Rosina furrowed her eyebrows when she saw the giant rocks rolled by the knights outside. She didn’t expect the Palace to have them.

"Those boulders will surely crush the undead," Rosina whispered under her breath. She wasn’t naive about the results of the weapon on her army.

"Oh, sure. They will. The Palace will do everything to keep those disgusting creatures away," a noble woman stated pridefully. She seemed relaxed and calm in the chaotic environment. The other woman nudged her side to keep her silent.

Rosina stared at them. She didn’t know their names or had met them before and didn’t want to know who they were. In her eyes, they were just a portion of food for her undead pets.

"We have arrived. Please immediately hop down," the coachman shouted to his passengers. He received glares and scoffs from the noble ladies when they came down.

Rosina was the last one. She smiled and went to the coachman, who sighed in dismay at the ladies’ ungratefulness.

"Thank you," Rosina stated and patted the coachman’s shoulder before jumping down the cart. The man looked at Rosina with wide eyes as he nodded at her.

Rosina followed the line of the saved wolves, who had relieved facial expressions. She blended through the crowd, but her appearance made her stand out.

"Miss," a servant appeared and handed Rosina a towel since she was coated in dried blood.

"Thanks," Rosina took it and covered her head to hide her hair. She noticed that most of the knights and servants didn’t pay much attention to her and focused on the other nobles wearing expensive attires.

"Where are the Monarchs!? We demand better shelter than this!" a nobleman shouted and pointed at the set tents on the side, which were supposed to be their temporary quarters.

The head servants that were tasked to greet the survivors needed help explaining that the Palace rooms were off-limits.

Rosina glanced around and saw several familiar faces of those who had served her before, but she didn’t care about them. She wanted to watch the drama before her while waiting for the right time to destroy the Palace herself.

"What’s the matter here?" a voice boomed in the area. All servants lowered their heads at the wolf’s arrival.

"Your Highness, Crown Prince Gastone," they stated in unison. The nobles immediately bowed their head at his appearance.

Rosina’s eyebrows raised since she didn’t expect Gastone to appear out of nowhere. She thought all important Monarchs went into hiding for their own safety and to preserve the hierarchy. Especially since Gastone was the next King of the Werewolf realm.
