Chapter 241: The Blood Appears

Chapter 241: The Blood Appears

When the door closed, Rosina breathed laboriously to let out the nervousness inside her. The darkness surrounded her, but she wasn’t scared.

Rosina moved toward the curtain and slid it to the side. A small window appeared, letting the sun shine through the dark room.

"You should go now, Draco," Rosina muttered while looking outside, heightening her senses to detect Draco’s movement. She could feel him moving away from the 13th pack slowly.

"Ah, yes," Rosina stated in approval. She waited until Draco walked far before she stepped back. She went to the door and leaned her ears to see if the guards had settled.

"I need to stay here for a while," Rosina muttered before looking at the supplies prepared by Tonia. She scoped a handful of sand, slowly spreading it on the floor in a thin line to form a circle.

Then Rosina proceeded to arrange the candles surrounding her. She planned to do a praying ritual to the Moon Goddess for a short time.

When Rosina finished arranging what she needed to do. She heard several footsteps outside and stopped at the door. She sniffed the air and noticed two new wolf scents.

"The guards," Rosina stated while shaking her head. She ignored them and began lighting the long candles. She then noticed they were scented, which had gotten her confused.

’I thought they were supposed to be plain candles,’ Rosina thought and sniffed the smoke. "Rose," she said, indicating the smell.

"Is this one of their tactic to know that I’m here and won’t leave?" Rosina whispered and stood up. Her eyes glowed bright green and spread her energy inside the room. She wanted to know if there were holes that led outside.

A smile appeared on Rosina’s lips when she found nothing.

Rosina lightened up all the candles and drank a cup of water before sitting at the center of the circle.

Calling the Moon Goddess should be done at night when the moon was shining in the sky, but Rosina would do it by daylight since she needed to accomplish her plan before darkness fell to the realm.

Rosina sat down and closed her eyes. She didn’t know what to expect if she prayed to the Moon Goddess. She felt like a scammer who wanted protection for Draco and his troops but wanted to kill the other wolves.

"Moon Goddess, hear me," Rosina whispered and focused her mind. "Guide my mate, Draco, and his troops to victory," she added.

Rosina paused since she didn’t know what to say. In all seriousness, she should praise the Moon Goddess before speaking about her intentions, but she felt she didn’t need to.

After all, Rosina felt guilty for what she did to the Moon Goddess’s wolves. Also, a part of her blamed the Goddess for turning her back when she was suffering.

That was why Rosina found it hard to give any tribute to the Moon Goddess.

"I have suffered in my youthful days without your guidance and help. You turned your back on me and watched me beg for kindness, but I received nothing. I accepted it all, forgive and forget, but this time, Moon Goddess, I ask for your blessing to keep the people I cherish safe," Rosina stated from her heart.

"I will kill the children you created in this realm. I hope you will forgive me, too," Rosina added, grasping the fabric of her clothes. She felt the heaviness on her chest, and she couldn’t help but shed tears.

Since Rosina was alone, she felt vulnerable and let go of the barrier she had created within her.

All the sufferings she experienced came back to hunt her, but this time. She let them be.

Rosina realized the more she tried to contain her past, the more she would suffer in the present, which could affect her future.

The memories locked inside her soul burst open and flooded into her system like a wave, crashing into her body and remembering each memory.

"Oh, goddess," Rosina cried and grabbed her head, leaning down while curling into a small ball. She wanted to stay in comfort and forget everything, but she couldn’t.

It took years for Rosina to accept her past and move on, letting it be part of her. She had hidden them inside her brain, forcing her to forget about them. Rosina thought she would be fine if she did, but she was wrong.

"It’s hard," Rosina whispered as tears streamed down her eyes and fell to the floor, flowing to the sand. "Moon Goddess, how can I go on?" she added.

"Don’t worry. Everything will be fine," a soft voice spoke inside the room, which surprised Rosina.

Rosina opened her eyes and saw Vanda standing across her with a grin.

"Hello, Rosina. How are you?" Vanda asked with a giggle. She sat down on her spot but didn’t enter Rosina’s circle.

"Why are you here?" Rosina asked and hurriedly wiped her tears away. She didn’t want Vanda to see her vulnerable and devastated.

"Is it wrong to visit a friend in times of need?" Vanda pouted and acted as if she was hurt.

"I’m doing a prayer ritual to the Moon Goddess. No one should be allowed inside," Rosina whispered and looked through the door, afraid the guards would hear their voices.

"Oh, really? Did I arrive at the wrong time?" Vanda asked innocently and tilted her head to the side.

Rosina sighed while shaking her head. She didn’t want to answer Vanda since it was useless to explain further.

Vanda smiled. She stood up and extended her arm. "Let me help you, Rosina," she said.

"Help me with what?" Rosina asked with an inquisitive glance. She didn’t tell anyone about her new plans. She and Vanda didn’t intercommunicate for a while too.

"I’ll stay here so they won’t get suspicious when the room turns cold when you’re gone," Vanda stated and wiggled her hands. She wanted to hold Rosina to seal their deal.

Rosina creased her eyebrows and thought about it for a while. She didn’t want Vanda to be part of her plan, but her help would be beneficial.

"Alright," Rosina agreed and grabbed Vanda’s hand.

"Great! Now, get naked," Vanda stated and pulled Rosina out of the circle.

"Wait... what!?" Rosina exclaimed in shock. Especially when Vanda started undressing.

"What? I’ll take your place, right? I need a bit of disguise," Vanda winked and proudly stood up without clothes. She was proud of her body and wasn’t shy to show it.

"Alright," Rosina shook her head in amusement. After she was done, she gave Vanda her clothes to wear.

Rosina was about to grab Vanda’s clothes, but she stopped her.

"No, don’t wear my clothes. Wear this instead," Vanda grabbed something from her bag and gave it to Rosina. It’s a simple black shirt and a pair of pants. "For mobility," she added when Rosina gave her an incredulity look.

"I’ll take what I get," Rosina stated and wore it. After she was done, she faced Vanda.

"Vanda, I will go now and finish what I started," Rosina informed and pulled Vanda into a hug. "I don’t know what will happen to me after, but I want you to know that you’re important to me. I wish you will find happiness in this realm," she added and hugged Vanda tighter.

Vanda didn’t say a word but embraced Rosina back in response.

Rosina pulled back and smiled before biting her finger to create a wound. She put her blood into the pendant and made a portal that led her to the Sabrecrown pack’s city.

"Good luck," Vanda chirped and waved at Rosina, who jumped into the portal.

Vanda’s smile vanished when Rosina was gone and was replaced with a keen look. She stretched her shoulders and looked at the scented candles flicking her way.

"The event will begin now," Vanda whispered and looked at the window where the sun shined brightly. "The doll has danced," she added.

A smirk appeared on Vanda’s lips before she stepped inside the circle. Her body immediately glowed from the candlelight as if her body was made of diamonds that sparkled.

"Ah, this is a nice new skin," Rosina commented and sat on the center, but she didn’t pray to the Moon Goddess. She looked out the window and watched as the sun started to die down.

Thick clouds covered the sky as if a storm was coming. The day turned to total darkness, but it didn’t take long before a new light appeared.

But this time, it was coated in red.

Vanda smirked and started laughing. She didn’t show uneasiness or concern to anyone. Instead, she was amused and delighted at what was about to happen.

"Ah, the Blood Moon finally appeared in the sky after hundreds of years," Vanda stated with bliss. She clasped her hands together, creating a sound.

At the same time, all the candle’s fire disappeared, and the guards outside lost consciousness.
