Chapter 235: The Doll
Chapter 235: The Doll
The night came in, Draco and his men gathered together to talk about their next step for the war.
On the other hand, Rosina ventured through the darkness inside the forest alone.
"Vanda! Vanda! Come out!" Rosina called out and looked around for Vanda’s appearance. She had been calling for Vanda for fifteen minutes but was not showing up.
"Vanda! If you won’t show up. I will call you an old lady!" Rosina yelled and crossed her arms.
"Ugh, you’re noisy. It’s late at night!" Vanda grumbled as she appeared on an underground portal in her nightgown and face mask.
Vanda was in bed trying to get her beauty sleep, but Rosina kept calling.
"You’ve finally decided to appear," Rosina sighed and walked toward Vanda, who was still lying on the grass.
"What is it?" Vanda muttered with a yawn.
"I changed my mind. I don’t want the crown for myself," Rosina stated quietly. She thought Vanda would react, but she was calm.
Vanda knew Rosina would yield and change her mind later on. So, she wasn’t surprised.
"Okay, I will just support you," Vanda replied and stared boredly at Rosina. "And is that the reason why you wake me up at this time?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.
"You’re not going to ask me why?" Rosina sat down on the grass and looked at Vanda with curious glances.
"Well, if Draco will get the crown. You are his mate, and you will still be the Queen no matter what. Knowing how much he loves you. You can get him to dance inside your palm," Vanda replied and sat up.
"I see," Rosina muttered.
Both of them looked at one another without a word. Only the cricket’s sound echoed in their surrounding.
"You’re going to ask me about the Blood Moon, aren’t you?" Vanda asked and took a towel from her pocket.
"Yes, and that face mask looks hideous," Rosina said grimly.
"Ugh, this is made from my herbal supplies, helping me look younger than my actual age," Vanda answered and removed the mask.
"I don’t know your age," Rosina stated and squinted her eyes. She was now curious what was Vanda’s age.
"You don’t need to know. Returning to our topic about the Blood Moon," Vanda changed the topic since she didn’t want to talk about herself.
"Alright, I plan to attack the Palace minutes before the Blood Moon occurs so that my undead warriors will become more powerful," Rosina stated and glanced around, heightening her senses to ensure they were alone.
"Okay? Hmm," Vanda hummed and thought about it for a while. "It’s not a bad idea, but the werewolves will become powerful and territorial. You’re the intruder, and they will make sure to protect their home at all costs," Vanda warned since there were many disadvantages.
"I know, but I have a plan. I want to know when the Blood Moon will transpire," Rosina leaned closer as she was eager to know the answer.
"I told you, there’s no time given to when it will appear," Vanda sighed since she needed to repeat what she had said before.
"I know, but do you have a hint? Or anything that will help me even just a little?" Rosina grabbed Vanda’s hand and pressed it slightly. She makes a cute face to force Vanda to answer her question.
Vanda leaned back while cringing. She liked cute stuff, but never with Rosina since she knew what she had done and could do; making those cute things didn’t seem to suit her in Vanda’s eyes.
"Alright, just stop that. It’s cringey," Vanda’s body shivered to erase the memory in her brain.
"Great!" Rosina clapped her hands cheerfully.
"Well, do you know the reason why a Blood Moon will occur?" Vanda asked with squinted eyes.
Rosina remembered what Draco had stated earlier and decided to use it.
"The Blood Moon comes if something unusual exists inside the realm?" Rosina stated with unsureness. She knew about the Blood Moon but didn’t dwell deeper into the topic since she thought it would only affect her a little, but she was alone before. Now, she had Draco and other wolves to take care of.
"True, but what do you think is the ’unusual’ event?" Vanda asked and leaned closer, her eyes widening.
"I-I don’t know. Maybe because we are going on a war against the Sabrecrown," Rosina backed away since Vanda’s face was too close to her.
"No, wars are common in all species and creatures," Vanda shook her head and wiggled her index finger at Rosina’s face.
"Stop that," Rosina swatted Vanda’s finger away. "Tell me," she said firmly.
"Haha! Alright," Vanda composed herself and looked thoughtfully at Rosina. "It seems like the one who received the power shook the werewolf realm," she added.
"Huh? What do you mean by that?" Rosina crinkled her eyebrows since what Vanda said hurt her brain cells.
"What I mean is... a ’being’ started playing with the realm," Vanda replied with a smirk. She leaned closer again and whispered. "The creature’s world should not be touched by the ’beings’ but this time. The ’being’ acted again and crossed the line since it was bored."
"A being? Do you know who?" Rosina asked eagerly.
"Meh," Vanda shrugged and looked to the side. "But one thing I know is that the Blood Moon will occur once the doll dances against the being’s objective," she said with a huge smile.
"A doll..." Rosina muttered and looked down while trying to put the puzzles together. "Wait, is it me? I’m the doll?" she asked and pointed at herself.
But when Rosina looked up, Vanda was nowhere to be found.
"Ah! That b^tch," Rosina cursed and lay on the ground. The new information was making her crazy, thinking she was the doll and who the ’being’ Vanda was talking about.
"If I’m the doll, what’s the objective to dance with? Ugh, I’m playing the game of the unknown," Rosina muttered and looked at the bright moon above, hoping everything would make sense.
