Chapter 230: The Love for Him [Reward Chapter]

Rosina’s mouth hung open when she saw her mother chop Cleto’s c0ck away. She couldn’t utter a single word, and her eyes shook while watching.

"You f^cking b^tch!!!" Cleto shouted and kicked Natale with all his strength. He tried to stand up, but Natale wasn’t done with him.

Natale lifted herself and clung to Cleto’s back, which made both of them fall to the ground.

As Natale sat on his back, Cleto’s face was buried in the thick grass.

"I should have never married you! I’m supposed to be happy! I want to be happy and be treated well!" Natale shouted while raising the dagger and pierced Cleto’s back multiple times.

"Ack! B^tch!" Cleto shouted and wanted to twist his body around to get Natale off his body, but every time he tried, Natale would stab him deeper.

"I hate you! I hate you! I should have never married you!!!" Natale screamed with tears in her eyes. She wasn’t thinking straight, and all she could think about what how her life became miserable with Cleto.

All the emotional and physical abuse she had endured for years went out that day.

"WAHHHH! AHHHH!" Natale cried so loud that her voice was louder than the rain.

Cleto stopped moving and took all the stabs from his wife. He thought he could finally be free, but Natale was waiting for him when he arrived in that area. His eyes fluttered, and he saw a figure from a far.

"Ah," Cleto smiled slightly when he saw Rosina looking at them with disbelief. He didn’t say a word and unconsciously raised his hand as if he was going to touch Rosina.

"AHH! WHY DO I NEED TO SUFFER LIKE THIS!?" Natale screamed with all her energy before she collapsed to the side. She was breathing heavily with silent tears. She felt as if the world abandoned her.

Silent fell between the two of them.

"I’m sorry," Cleto whispered. His voice was barely heard due to how little they were, but Natale heard it.

"It’s too late now," Natale replied and turned to the side. She was surprised that Cleto was staring at her with a soft gaze, unlike before.

Cleto looked at Natale the way he used to look at her back when they were young and naive.

"I’m sorry," Cleto muttered again. His wounds weren’t healing, and his blood pooled around him. His tanned skin slowly turned pale due to the loss of blood.

Natale realized what she had done. She sat up, and with trembling hands, she touched the stab wounds she had created.

"No... No, I didn’t mean to... No," Natale stuttered and frantically put pressure over the wounds, but it was useless.

"Nata..le," Cleto muttered softly. He could feel that his life was ending, and he accepted it. He didn’t mind being killed by Natale, the woman he loved and married.

"No... No!" Natale grabbed Cleto’s body and lay him on her thighs. "Oh, goddess!" she cried and looked at the grey sky.

Rosina stepped out behind the tree. She walked toward her parents in slow steps. Her brain completely shut down to think of any plans to do next.

"Natale..." Rosina called out, getting her mother’s attention.

Rosina didn’t care if she killed wolves with her own hands. Taking another life was normal for her, but seeing her mother become aggressive and go for a kill hurt Rosina. Especially since Natale was killing her own husband.

"Rosina... Rosina, help me. Your father, I—"Natale stated, but she was stopped by Cleto’s hand that caressed her face. She looked down and saw a smile on Cleto’s face, a smile of relief and love.

Cleto’s eyes glanced toward Rosina.

"You don’t need to apologize," Rosina said immediately since she didn’t want to hear those words from Cleto.

Cleto smiled and chuckled, making the blood gushes out more. "I’m... sorry," he stated, ignoring Rosina’s words.

Rosina bit her lips. After all, she had been through in Cleto’s hand. She felt sorry for him, and a painful feeling in her chest erupted.

"Rosina... help me, please. He’s... dying," Natale cried out. She was desperate to make sure that Cleto would live. She saw that Rosina wasn’t moving and only stared at Cleto’s face.

"Are you sure that you want him to live?" Rosina asked and stared back at Natale.

Natale opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. Her mind replayed the memories of Cleto beating her and all the other things he had done. She clenched her fist as tears kept streaming down her cheeks.

"Your father is a horrible man... but... I love him," Natale whispered. She remembered the time when Cleto and her met for the first time. It was magical, and she could feel the warmth in her heart.

Rosina didn’t question her anymore. She could see the unspoken truth in Natale’s eyes.

"Ack!" Cleto puked blood, and his pulse slowed down. His consciousness was slipping in and out, but he knew that Natale was still holding on to him. He didn’t want that.

Cleto knew the damage he had done. For the last time, he didn’t want to make Natale suffer. He wanted her to be free and find happiness without him.

"Leave me. Let me... go," Cleto whispered and held Natale’s hand. He stared into her eyes and offered a genuine smile before losing consciousness.

"No... No!" Natale screamed and shook Cleto’s body, but there was no response.

"Mother, set him free," Rosina whispered softly, but Natale ignored her.

"NO! CLETO NO! I’M SORRY! NO!" Natale screamed and hugged Cleto’s body. She kissed his forehead and rubbed his arms to warm his cold body.

Rosina couldn’t help but shed a tear. It was a genuine tear coming from within her. She felt pain upon seeing her mother crying out with all her emotions to the man that gave her pain. She could feel Natale’s love for Cleto even if they were not mates.

At that point, something woke up inside Rosina. A fire lightened up the darkness within her.
