Alpha's Bite Between My Legs -
Chapter 215: The Promised Kiss
Chapter 215: The Promised Kiss
Draco received a mind link from Silvio.
’Your Highness, Natale is here with me now. We are going as far as possible away from the 11th pack’s territory,’ Silvio linked.
It was the message that Draco was waiting for. A signal to start the attack.
Draco looked at Beri with a smile. "I appreciate the compliment of being compared to Gastone. He really does have nice hair, unlike mine," he said and took the golden wig carefully, showing his jet-black hair.
"What the—"Goron was surprised at the revelation, and his senses told him that Draco was dangerous. He pulled Beri behind him in defence of if Draco would do them harm.
"Who are you!?" Beri exclaimed as she held into Goron’s shirt like her life depended on it. She never expected the golden hair to be fake since it compliments Draco’s appearance.
"Well, do you have a guess?" Draco stated with a shrug before taking the cup and sipping the warm tea.
Goron and Beri looked at one another before looking intently at Draco. They were trying to remember where they had seen him since his features with black hair looked familiar.
"Oh my!" Beri gasped and put her hands over her mouth in shock. She had finally realized the man she was talking to.
"What is it?" Goron whispered while taking a tiny step back to create more distance from Draco.
"Do you have something in mind, Beri?" Draco asked with a smile, but Beri shook her head. She was hesitant to say what she thought of. "Hmm, let me give you a hand," he added.
"The one you’re referring to earlier as the man with golden hair like a sun.... Is my half-brother," Draco stated with a grin. He enjoyed the faces they made when they confirmed his identity.
"He.... He’s the third Prince," Beri whispered in a low tone, but it was enough for Draco to hear.
Draco chuckled, carefully tucked the wig in the clean cloth he brought, and set it aside for safety.
"Congratulations! You guessed it right!" Draco laughed and sat on the sofa with a calm attitude. He gestured for them to take a seat, but they remained standing.
"They say you’re already dead!" Goron clamoured as fear started to creep in. His mind was in shambles, and he didn’t know what to do next. His wolf was cowering inside him, which made it hard for him to focus his energy on creating a mind link toward his father, Leo.
"I might be dead," Draco shrugged. He didn’t care if he was deemed dead in the Sabrecrown pack since it would lessen his burden, especially if the Queen wouldn’t send troops to go for his neck all the time.
Goron and Beri remained silent as they tried to create a mind link, but they were having a hard time since they weren’t used to it, and their energy was insufficient.
Draco noticed their eyes looking from afar, and he knew what they were doing.
"It’s too late now," Draco stated with a smile and flicked his fingers.
After a few seconds, loud growls and screams mixed together outside.
"What’s happening!" Goron growled and was about to leave, but Draco stood up to stop him.
"If you don’t want to die, stay here in this room," Draco informed. He planned to keep that room safe for his lovely wig, and he didn’t mind keeping Goron and Beri alive to be tortured later.
"You gotta be kidding me," Goron stated in defeat. His mind went to his father since he knew the Alpha needed to fight for their pack.
"You’re a traitor! The Alpha trusted the Palecrest pack so much!" Beri screamed. She felt betrayed by what had happened.
"Huh?" Draco tilted his head and acted confused. "The 12th pack no longer belonged to the Palecrest," he stated with a deep and menacing voice.
"What do you mean?" Goron asked while looking for an escape route.
"The 12th pack is now under my control, along with the 13th pack. Although, I won’t take all the credit. My mate did most of the job," Draco explained with pride in his voice. He knew Goron was trying to buy some time to escape and wasn’t against it.
"You mean.... The 13th pack is no longer ruled by a Rogue King," Beri hyperventilated as she put the puzzles together.
The Palace still didn’t have the updated news about the 13th pack, and they thought it was still ruled by Pepe, the ex-Rogue King. The gossip circulated that Draco was killed during his attack. That was why he never went back or communicated with the Palace.
"Yes, my mate killed the Rogue King. I’m so proud of her," Draco stated with a wide grin. His pride was never tainted by Rosina’s achievement, unlike other male wolves that wanted their mate to be submissive to them.
"Princess Rosina!? Isn’t she weak—"Beri wasn’t able to continue her words when Draco growled at her.
Goron hurriedly put himself as Beri’s shield to protect her. Now, both he and Draco were facing each other intently.
"Don’t you dare threaten my mate like that!" Goron shouted with anger.
"Then don’t insult my mate," Draco growled deeply. He was ready to kill both of them if they insulted Rosina.
Goron pursed his lips. He knew what Draco felt since both of them wanted to protect their mates.
Draco fixed his clothes and glared at both of them. Before going out the door to join the blood party outside, he didn’t say a word. After all, his enemy would be Alpha Leo.
When Draco was gone, both Goron and Beri sighed in relief that they weren’t harmed.
"Oh my goddess, we have made a mistake," Beri whispered in disbelief. Her knees weakened as she clung to Goron’s shoulder for support.
"Don’t think about it. What’s important is your safety. Stay here. I need to go outside and help my father," Goron pulled Beri into a tight hug and kissed her forehead.
"No! Please, don’t go. Prince Draco said if we stay here, we’ll be safe. So please, remain here with me. I don’t want to lose you! You’ll die out there!" Beri cried out and hugged Goron tightly to prevent him from going.
Goron looked at her with a pained expression. He didn’t want to leave, but his pride as the son of an Alpha boiled in his blood.
"Beri, I’m sorry, but I need to go. I’ll make sure to return to you," Goron smiled and pinched Beri’s cheeks.
"Do you promise?" Beri pouted and sniffed. She was already overthinking, and seeing Goron get hurt would drive her crazy.
"Yes, I promise you. I’ll be safe and return to your side after this attack ends. The Beloric pack is strong. We will get through this," Goron whispered to comfort Beri, but deep inside, he wasn’t sure if they would win after knowing that Draco ruled over the 12th pack meant they were strong enough to handle Cleto, who was more robust than Leo in terms of physical strength.
"Alright, be safe," Beri grabbed Goron’s cheeks and kissed him deeply before he went away, leaving her with tears in her eyes.
