Chapter 202: The Representative
The next day, the representative of the 11th pack arrived at the 12th pack’s territory. Since it was supposed to be a surprise visit, Draco planted fewer warrior wolves as decoys.
The warrior wolves took the representative to the pack house, where Natale was waiting for them in the living room.
"Ah, welcome to the Palecrest pack," Natale greeted them with a wide smile. Her aura was calm and elegant as she ushered the two representatives to sit on the sofa.
Last night, the 13th pack wolves did everything they could to clean the place and made it seem like nothing had happened. They added a lot of fragrances to make the site smell nice since the scent of metallic blood still lingered in the air.
"Let us introduce ourselves. I’m Goron, and this is my mate, Beri. We are here to talk about the preparations of the Palecrest pack for the war," Goron stated with a smile before sitting down. He glanced at the man standing on the side. "And who might be this fellow?" he asked.
"Well, this is...." Natale paused and looked at the man Goron was referring to.
A tall man with long blonde hair and striking electric blue eyes smiled at them.
"I am Coco, Luna Natale’s assistant. Nice to meet you," Draco stated with a charming smile he often used to allure women into his way. He touched his golden wig and brushed through the strands.
Goron’s eyebrows raised at Draco’s appearance, which confused him whether he was a man or a woman since the hair was long and the name didn’t help determine the gender.
"Are you a she-wolf?" Goron asked with curious glances that Beri couldn’t help but pinch his side.
"Ah, unfortunately. I’m a man," Draco stated and put his hand over his mouth as an act of shyness.
"I see. Nice to meet you," Goron nodded and massaged his side where Beri pinched him. He glanced back at her with a glare before returning his attention to Natale, who remained silent throughout the exchange.
"Well, back to our topic. We want to meet with the Alpha and discuss the plans," Goron firmly stated with a serious look.
"Well, my husband is away with my son. They were on standby at the pack’s border to overlook the 13th pack and find a way to design the attack. You can talk to me about the plans, and I’ll communicate them to him," Natale stated calmly and showed a dominant aura to show that she was a Luna.
Goron and Beri looked at one another. Hesitation was sketched into their eyes since they had heard about the gossip about Natale being a useless Luna and her only role as Cleto’s punching bag.
But seeing that Natale was taking action due to her husband’s absence showed that the gossip was false.
Natale maintained her calm attitude while waiting for their decision. She glanced at Draco, who gave her a thumbs up on the side as an encouraging action.
"Well, I understand if you’re hesitant. I—" Natale spoke softly, and her actions showed that she was hurt by their lack of trust.
Beri nudged Goron’s shoulder and smiled sweetly at Natale. She didn’t want to tarnish the 11th pack’s name for being rude. For her, Natale could complain to her husband about their attitude, which might cause a rift between the two packs. Then, if something happened, their Alpha would punish them since Goron and her were responsible.
"Ah, Luna. Please, we don’t want to be rude. My mate here is just a cautious fellow. Maybe we can discuss a few things, and you can tell your husband when he gets back home," Beri stated with a forced smile and pinched Goron’s side for him to agree.
"Yes, yes. We should do that," Goron cleared his throat and nodded his head.
Draco couldn’t help but smile at their interaction. Somehow, he felt jealous that they could do that while he and Rosina were still in a crisis of acceptance.
"Alright," Natale put back her composed attitude and glanced at Draco. "Coco, would you mind getting us some tea?" she said softly.
"Of course," Draco replied and went to the corner; a cart was already prepared, along with the tea and biscuits that Natale cooked from last night in preparation for their arrival.
Draco arrived with a golden smile before putting the tea and biscuits on the table. He changed his manly actions into lady-like to completely changed his own persona. He gave a soft smile toward Goron and Beri when he placed the cup in front of them.
"Thank you," Goron and Beri gasped when they closely saw Draco’s face.
Natale couldn’t even keep her eyes away from Draco since the hair was making him more attractive in a feminine way. She was surprised the first time Draco met her with that appearance. She thought he was the 11th pack representative since she had never seen that appearance before and thought he was a female.
Draco knew his alluring aura while using the golden wig. It was his other identity to lure she-wolves into his bed without risking his identity as the Third Prince.
"You’re welcome," Draco replied and stood back on the wall.
"Okay, where will we discuss our plans?" Goron asked while taking a sip of the tea. Since they were in the living room. It looked open and public for them to feel comfortable, especially since Draco was there.
"We can go to another room," Natale stated and glanced at Draco.
"Alright. We should do that," Goron agreed and stood up, but Beri remained seated. She was pouting while munching the biscuits.
Goron and Beri made eye contact for a few seconds before he sighed deeply.
"Pardon me, Luna, but will it be alright if we stay here instead? My mate seems to enjoy the biscuits," Goron stated with a defeated sigh. He couldn’t resist his mate, especially if she pouted at him.
