Chapter 196: The Lovely Daughter

Chapter 196: The Lovely Daughter

"Ugh," Draco groaned as he flipped open his eyelids. His vision was blurry, and it took a while for him to adjust, but all he saw was darkness.

"Where am I?" Draco muttered as he stood up. His surrounding was in total darkness. He stood still and tried to feel the atmosphere when someone touched his hand.

"Ah!" Draco shouted and went to a defensive position when he heard Vanda’s giggle.

"Calm down," Vanda stated with amusement before she lit the candle to light the surrounding.

"Where are we?" Draco asked while looking around when he noticed the same scratches of claws in the walls.

"What do you think?" Vanda rolled her eyes. She moved the candle in a specific direction, and in that spot was a girl hugging herself in a fetal position.

Draco looked at the silver chains on the girl’s wrists and ankles that looked new, compared to the one he saw that was old and rusty.

"I-I don’t understand," Draco shook his head. He became confused at what was happening. One second, he was in an old room, but now, everything was new.

Vanda smiled. He grabbed Draco’s hand and pulled him toward the candle she was holding. She placed his hand above the fire and instantly pushed his hand down.

"What are you— Ah!" Draco yelped in surprise and instantly retrieved his hand. "What the heck are you doing!?" he exclaimed wide-eyed. He looked at his hand and saw there were no burn marks.

"You’re not in your physical body, Draco. You are only a spirit," Vanda giggled and put her hand into the fire, but her flesh went through.

"How did this happen?" Draco had so many questions, but Vanda only gave him a smirk.

"I don’t want to explain every detail but think of this magic. You travelled through time, and here we are many years ago in Palecrest pack," Vanda explained and went toward the girl. She placed the candle on the girl’s face, but her presence was unnoticed.

"Okay, we’re spirits, and she couldn’t see us?" Draco asked while looking at his body that was see-through.

"Yes," Vanda nodded her head and stepped back. "You want to get to know your wife more, right? Then I’ll help you see some light of her past."

Vanda moved toward Draco and gave him the candle. "You’re on your own now," she whispered before her body vanished in thin air.

"Vanda! Wait!" Draco called out, but the sound of keys got his attention. He turned toward the door, and after a few seconds, it opened and revealed a gigantic young man holding a huge belt.

The outside light made the man’s face unrecognizable, but Draco knew who he was.

"Ah, little b^tch. Time for your lesson," Cleto’s deep, terrifying voice echoed in that room, but the little girl was unresponsive.

"Rosina..." Draco whispered the name of his mate with pain. It was only the first scene, but it was already hurtful to watch. He expected Rosina’s child form to run away or scream in fear, but all she did was stay in that position.

"Trying to ignore me!? B^tch!" Cleto shouted. His heavy steps reached Rosina, and he grabbed his hair, pulling her head upward.

Rosina’s black eyes looked lifeless, and her facial expression was void of any emotions. Bruises and scars, both fresh and old, were seen on her skin.

"When I call you! Be responsive!" Cleto shouted and slapped Rosina’s cheeks. His handprinted into her fresh.

Rosina didn’t cry or cower in fear. Her body was relaxed, and she took every blow from her father as if she was used to it every day.

Draco’s mouth hung open upon seeing how Cleto was beating Rosina with full force that he even sweat. He wanted to stop Cleto, but he couldn’t do anything. His heart ached to see his mate getting hurt.

"Cleto! Please! Stop this!" Natale cried out from outside. She stood at the door with tears in her eyes. Behind her was a little boy that barely could stand on his feet.

"You shut up!" Cleto roared in anger and snapped at his wife. His eyes were burning in rage as he stopped beating Rosina with his hands.

"Please, stop this. She’s only a child!" Natale begged and knelt on the floor. She was crying and rubbed both of her palms together to show submissiveness.

That action made Cleto’s rage increased. "Pathetic!" he shouted and walked hastily toward Natale and slapped her cheeks. He cupped her face and pulled her toward him.

"You know this is your fault, right? You’re a b^tch that f^cked around," Cleto growled, but his eyes showed sadness and pain for a few seconds before they vanished and were replaced with hatred.

"That pup isn’t my daughter. So I have every right to do what I want with her while you, my loving ’wife,’ must atone for your sins for eternity," Cleto stated and snarled with disgust before returning his attention back to Rosina.

"I told you many times, Cleto. You are the only man I f^cked! You took my v1rginity!" Natale cried out. She hated that Cleto always thought she cheated on another man, but she didn’t.

"Ah, here we go with the same topic again!" Cleto sighed heavily and started laughing before flicking the belt he was holding.

"You know that! I bleed!" Natale shouted to defend herself, but it only made Cleto aggressive.

"Ah, yes! You bleed! But that doesn’t mean you didn’t f^ck another man after that!" Cleto shouted. His claws extended as he started clawing against the wall to vent his anger.

"Cleto," Natale whispered while watching his frustrated husband. She knew what he meant, but she didn’t cheat on him. She loved him with all her heart and soul.

"Don’t you ever mention that again, Natale. You disgust me," Cleto bared his fangs before whipping the belt and facing Rosina.

"My lovely ’daughter’, are you ready?" Cleto asked toward Rosina, giving emphasis to the word ’daughter’.
