Chapter 165: The Honesty of Feelings

Draco looked at the she-wolf in front of him. He didn’t know who she was, but she called him brother, which weirded him out.

"Who are you?" Draco stated as he stepped back when the she-wolf tried to hug him.

"It’s me! Ambra!" she exclaimed with bright eyes as she pointed at herself.

"Ambra?" Draco muttered since her name didn’t ring a bell in his memory. He looked at Ambra’s features while trying to determine if he had a sister named Ambra.

Ambra noticed that Draco didn’t recognize her. She rolled her eyes and pointed at her hair and eyes. "I’m Gastone’s little sister!"

"What!?" Draco exclaimed in shock upon Ambra’s revelation. "Gastone didn’t say that he has a little sister. Even the Queen didn’t say a word!"

"Ah..." Ambra’s smile vanished when he heard what Draco stated. "It’s fine; I can understand why they hushed my existence since I’m nothing but the dirt that tainted the royal family’s name."

"Don’t say that," Draco’s voice softened when he saw Ambra’s tears.

Ambra forced a smile before she took something under her shirt. It was a locket necklace. She opened it and showed Draco the sketch inside, which was her and Gavino together.

"Gavino... The second Prince," Draco muttered in realization. He never participated in royal affairs back when he was young, and his existence as a Third Prince wasn’t valued, which made him sulk inside his room. He had heard about Gavino since he was a famous royal member and his achievement was excellent, bringing honor to the family.

But Draco didn’t memorize all the royal children of the King’s wife and concubines since most of them died or transferred into other packs to live their lives. They would only come to the Palace if they were called to attend an event or participate in any occasion.

"I heard about a little Princess that ran away from the pack and became a rogue years ago," Draco stated and looked at Ambra’s appearance. "But they didn’t mention who it was."

"I understand," Ambra sighed while nodding her head.

"Did you run away?" Draco asked since he began to get curious.

"I did, but not as a rogue," Ambra whispered, and a sad smile formed on her lips. "But to become Brother Gavino’s wife."

"..." Draco blinked multiple times. He was confused by Ambra’s words and thought that he might hear them wrong. "What did you say again?"

Ambra pursed her lips and pushed Draco inside the room, closing the door behind her to prevent anyone from hearing their conversation if someone stopped by.

"Brother Gavino was about to marry me when the war with the rogues was over, but he died, and here I am, their war slave," Ambra whispered and sat on the chair—thinking about the past brought pain into her chest, especially looking at the locket again and seeing her lover’s face.

"Ambra, he’s your half-brother," Draco stated with wide eyes. He was shocked that Ambra wanted Gavino even though they had the same father.

"I know. That’s why I loved him more than anyone else. Brother Gavino already sent a letter to the Palace about our future marriage, but... I guess they completely forgot about me even after my brother died at the hands of the rogue King," Ambra sighed and wiped away the forming tears in her eyes.

"But why, Ambra? Is Gavino your mate?" Draco asked, trying to think about a reason why Ambra wanted to marry her brother. That also made him question Gavino’s thoughts after f^cking his little half-sister.

"N-no," Ambra whispered and bit her lips.

That answer was enough for Draco to think that all the romantic emotions of sibling love turned into lust.

"Did you regret it?" Draco asked since Ambra was currently an adult and could think straight compared to when she was still a child.

"No, if I could go back in time. I will do it again!" Ambra exclaimed with honesty.

Draco’s eyes twitched at her answer, and he lost hope that she would understand the mistake she had made.

"Alright, but I don’t support incest. What you did is wrong, Ambra, but the past is past. I will bring you to the Palace when I leave this pack," Draco sighed and opened the door of his room, indicating for Ambra to leave.

Ambra understood as she nodded her head and went out, but before she could. She looked Draco in the eye. "You’re Queen Rosina’s husband, right?"

"Yes," Draco replied with a furrowed eyebrow.

A sad smile formed on Ambra’s lips as she faced Draco. "I may have a bad past, but your wife had it worst. You should talk to her."

"What? What do you mean?" Draco stated in confusion since Ambra’s words contained deep secrets she couldn’t reveal.

"I’m thankful for her help before when I successfully plan my revenge on the previous rogue King, Pepe’s father, but it’s not my duty to tell you Queen Rosina’s past. I’m telling you this because what happened before is one of the occurrences that honed Queen Rosina into who she is today," Ambra stated and took Draco’s hand, squeezing them softly.

"I will prepare for our future journey to the Palace after you sort out with Queen Rosina," Ambra added before leaving Draco standing with his mouth wide open.

What Ambra stated about Rosina made Draco curious, and the itch to know about her past drove him insane.

"Ah! I should find Pepe’s body first before talking to Rosina to secure her safety!" Draco muttered before taking his cloak and walking through the hallway.

When Draco was about to reach the front door, he saw Vanda leaning against the wall.

"Come with me," Vanda stated and gestured for Draco to follow her.

Draco wanted to ask for the reason, but Vanda left no space to talk. He had no choice but to follow behind her.

Vanda led Draco into Rosina’s chamber and opened the door for him, but before he could enter, Vanda pulled his arm to stop him.

"You should be honest with your own feelings, Draco, or you will regret everything in the end," Vanda whispered before pushing Draco inside and closing the door behind.
