Chapter 160: The Body in Nothingness
Chapter 160: The Body in Nothingness
Rosina was sitting on the sofa in front of Pepe’s office. She has been there for the past hour while watching Pepe work silently. She was taken from the cells to meet Pepe, but they didn’t exchange words the moment she arrived.
’What am I even doing here?’ Rosina thought and sighed deeply. She was hungry and thirsty at the same time that she didn’t have the energy to deal with Pepe’s sh^t. She leaned back on the sofa and decided to take a nap.
"The wedding will be held later at night," Pepe stated without looking at Rosina.
Rosina raised her eyebrow. It amazed her that Pepe wasn’t finished his obsession with her.
"I’m not your mate," Rosina stated firmly and crossed her arms.
"YOU ARE!" Pepe shouted, followed by a growl of threat.
Rosina shook her head with disappointment at Pepe’s reaction. She wasn’t even angry at that point.
"Where’s Mari’s body?" Rosina asked since she didn’t see Mari’s body anywhere or smell her lilac scent.
"I feed her body to the dogs," Pepe replied with a smirk. He leaned back and crossed his arms over his chest to make himself bigger.
"Does that make you proud?" Rosina asked with a raised eyebrow.
"She’s not the one for me," Pepe replied with a grumble. "You are my mate, Rosina. I could feel the spark between us every time we touched."
"You felt the spark when you touch Mari. You are in a state of delusion and obsession. You need to get treatment," Rosina stated nonchalantly and rolled her eyes.
Pepe gritted his teeth and slammed his hands on the table, nearly breaking the wood. He was starting to get pissed at how hard-headed Rosina became.
"Why can’t you just agree!?" Pepe shouted. He stood up and walked in front of Rosina with his dominance seeping out.
"Because I already have a husband. I don’t want to add one to my list," Rosina replied and yawned to show she was bored in their conversation, unaffected by his surge of power.
"He’s not your husband when he didn’t put a mark on your neck," Pepe smirked and was about to touch Rosina’s hair that covered her neck, but Rosina evaded him.
"I will mark you tonight and make you mine forever," Pepe smirked and walked away, leaving Rosina in the room alone.
Rosina pursed her lips and unconsciously touched her neck. She felt shivers running down her spine at the thought of Pepe biting her.
"No, I won’t allow this," Rosina whispered to herself and stood up. She was about to open another portal to the cells and grab Vanda when the door busted open, and two servants entered.
"My Queen, we are here to assist you with your wedding," the servants stated with a bow.
Rosina looked at them and removed her finger from the pendant. She was thinking of a solution to the problem that didn’t require her to cause a scene.
"Okay, but can I call for my friend? She’s still in the cells, and I won’t cooperate with you if she’s not here," Rosina stated firmly and smiled at them.
The servants looked at one another, and their faces instantly looked flat.
’They’re mind linking,’ Rosina thought and was amazed that she was seeing it.
"I will fetch your friend, my Queen," one of the servants stated and went outside while the other one remained.
"My Queen, please follow me to your chamber."
The servant stepped to the side and let Rosina walk first before following her behind.
’Should I kill her?’ Rosina thought and glanced back at the servant before shrugging the thought.
Rosina entered her room, and the sight of her wedding dress laid on her bed greeted her.
"This will be your dress, My Queen," the servants gestured to the gown, and beside it was a crown.
"Fascinating," Rosina smiled. She was amused at how Pepe was able to prepare a dress for her in the middle of the war.
After a while, Vanda appeared at the door, and she looked pissed.
"Welcome," Rosina stated with a laugh at how Vanda rolled her eyes.
"Funny," Vanda sighed and sat on the sofa, looking at Rosina from top to bottom. "You look like sh^t."
"Thank you," Rosina replied while shaking her head. They were still in their old clothes from two days ago.
The servant grabbed a box that contained another dress and placed it beside Vanda.
"Miss, this will be your attire for tonight."
"Okay," Vanda glanced at the black-colored gown.
"We’ll prepare a bath for you, My Queen and Miss," the two servants bowed before going to the bathroom.
"They really left us alone here," Vanda muttered with confusion. "We are prisoners, yet they treated us like we won’t run away."
Rosina shrugged while touching the gown’s fabric. "This seems like an old gown," she whispered before sniffing the clothes’ scent, and she realized that someone must have worn the gown before.
"Are you really going to marry him?" Vanda asked when she saw that Rosina wasn’t planning to escape Pepe’s grasp.
Rosina shook her head and put her index finger into her lips to hushed Vanda.
"Alright, surprise me," Vanda chuckled and leaned back on the sofa, enjoying the softness of the foam.
Rosina ignored Vanda and walked toward the huge window that overlooked the outside of the pack’s vast forest. She could see several wolves carrying some wood and decoration as they walked toward the forest.
’Wedding props. He really prepared for this event,’ Rosina sighed while shaking her head with disappointment, followed by sadness and anger since it was supposed to be Mari’s place, but she was dead.
"I know what you’re thinking," Vanda stated while staring at Rosina’s form.
"This wedding should belong to Mari, but she’s no longer here to participate. Killing her is the worst rejection a mate can get," Rosina sighed and smiled sadly before sitting across from Vanda.
"I doubt it," Vanda smirked and took something from her pocket. She placed an orb on the table, which showed Mari’s dead body floating in nothingness.
