Chapter 152: The Secret of an Amateur Villain

Rosina was walking toward Draco’s room with a bunch of red roses in her hand and pushing a cart simultaneously. She knocked on Draco’s door twice.

"Your Highness, I brought your snacks," Rosina stated and waited for Draco’s response.

"Come in."

Rosina opened the door and saw Draco working on a pile of papers stacked on the side. She felt pity at the amount of work he needed to do since she was not there as his wife to help him.

Rosina didn’t disturb Draco as she prepared his coffee in a cup. She glanced at the glass container that contained the cubes of sugar.

"Don’t put sugar on my coffee," Draco muttered without looking at Rosina.

"Yes, Your Highness," Rosina stated and put the black coffee on Draco’s table and the milk cookies she had made for herself.

Rosina lowered her head and was about to leave when Draco spoke.

"You should eat some of the milk cookies. You’ll love it," Draco said calmly while writing continuously.

"Yes, Your Highness," Rosina went out of Draco’s office with a confused look. She didn’t remember Draco eating milk cookies before.

’Maybe the chef makes milk cookies anyway,’ Rosina shrugged and placed the cart outside before entering Draco’s office again, but she didn’t disturb him this time.

Rosina placed the red roses on the center table and knelt on the floor since the servants weren’t allowed to sit on the sofa without the owner’s approval.

Rosina began working on the roses and placing them beautifully in the vase. While she was working, Draco couldn’t help but glance at her.

Draco felt he had known Rosina’s new identity for a long time and felt comfortable with her presence inside. Usually, he would send the servants outside and bring the flowers once it was done.

"They’re beautiful," Draco stated as he stared at the full-bloomed roses.

"Yes, Your Highness. We picked the most beautiful among the flowers in the garden," Rosina replied softly while she continued working.

"Rosalina, do you find those flowers bath in the sun interesting?" Draco asked and leaned on his hands in front of him.

Rosina furrowed her eyebrows at Draco’s question. "They are beautiful, Your Highness, but I find the flowers bloom under the shade much more interesting."

"That’s a unique taste," Draco chuckled with amusement. He had never met someone who preferred those types of flowers.

"Thank you, Your Highness," Rosina smiled and stood up since she was done with her chore. She bowed down before leaving the room.

Rosina sighed deeply before going back to her daily chores. When she turned to the corner, she met Fina standing impatiently.

"Miss Fina, how are you?" Rosina greeted, but she was pulled to her own room. She was confused at Fina’s sudden action, but her focus shifted to the room they were in. She felt nostalgic that she was inside, where she used to sleep every night.

"Rosalina, did you put the sugar on Prince Draco’s coffee?" Fina asked with concerned eyes. She was holding Rosina’s shoulder to force her to look into her eyes.

"I-" Rosina was confused. She had thought Fina and Sal were allies and were plotting against Draco, but she could see the worry in Fina’s eyes.

From Rosina’s perspective, if you plotted something evil. Make sure no one would know, or it would fail. One should not do something that would lead to suspicion, but Fina acted like an amateur villain, which disappointed Rosina.

"Did you put them?" Fina asked once more, and her hold on Rosina’s shoulder tightened.

"Yes, one cube of sugar in his coffee," Rosina muttered. She thought Fina would be relieved, but it was the opposite.

Fina groaned and let go of Rosina. She was moving back and forth while thinking about what had happened.

"Is there something wrong, Miss Fina?" Rosina asked in confusion.

"You don’t understand!" Fina raised her voice and bit her nails. She was panicking.

’How can I understand if you don’t talk about what’s happening!?’ Rosina thought while faking a smile at Fina.

"Miss Fina, what seems to be the problem? Did I do something wrong?" Rosina asked and acted concerned.

Fina looked at her and pulled her to the bathroom, locking the door behind them. She faced Rosina and pushed her against the wall.

Rosina’s eyes widened since that dominant action from Fina was arousing her. It made her think of lewd stuff they could do inside the bathroom alone.

"Rosalina, I’ll tell you something, but don’t tell anyone," Fina whispered and leaned closer. Her hands were against each side of Rosina’s body, caging her.

"What is it?" Rosina uttered and found it hard to focus on Fina’s eyes since her lips caught Rosina’s attention the most.

"Don’t put any sugar cubes in Prince Draco’s coffee," Fina whispered and looked intently into Rosina’s eyes to show that she meant it.

"Why? I thought Prince Draco liked sugar?" Rosina asked and tilted her head. She planned to milk any information she could get from Fina.

Fina pursed her lips. It was evident that she was trying her best to give a reply without blurting her secret.

"Because I remembered that the Prince doesn’t like sugar. So don’t put anything on his coffee again, and give me back the sugar cubes," Fina stepped back and opened her palm.

Rosina blinked twice before faking a nervous laugh. "I left it in my room," she replied, but the container was in her pocket.

"I see, then when you get back in your room. Throw the sugar away and make sure that no one will eat them," Fina stated slowly, ensuring that Rosina understood her word.

"Okay, but it’s just sugar. It’s a waste if I throw them away," Rosina stated innocently.

"JUST—" Fina shouted but stopped herself and turned around to calm down. "Just throw them away. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Miss Fina," Rosina replied while shaking her head with amusement. She found it funny how Fina’s actions and reactions could get her caught for her wrongdoings.

"Also, don’t tell Sal about what we talk about, or you’ll get in serious trouble," Fina warned.

"Yes, I will keep this a secret, Miss Fina," Rosina nodded.

Fina smiled at her before going out of the bathroom, leaving Rosina alone.

Rosina scoffed at what had happened. She found it amusing that Fina trusted her with a secret without thinking she might get betrayed.

"So the sugar had something in it," Rosina muttered and took out the container. She gazed at the cubes before taking one out.

"Let me see what you’re made of," Rosina put the cube on her tongue and let it melt. She tasted both sweet and sour, followed by a metallic taste.

That was when Rosina felt lightheaded, and her wolf whimpered in sudden weakness.

"P-Powered silver!" Rosina exclaimed and slumped to the ground. The silver affected her body, but since she was not a complete Werewolf. She immediately recovered from the silver poisoning.

"There’s only a small portion of the silver powder, but if Draco took one, it would affect his wolf, and the longer he digests the poison... He will die," Rosina muttered to herself upon the realization.

"The Queen wanted to kill Draco as soon as possible," Rosina scoffed and couldn’t help but laugh. She knew the Queen was aiming toward Draco’s life to secure the crown on Gastone’s head, but Rosina didn’t like it.

"No one can take Draco’s life but me," Rosina growled as she stood up and fixed her clothes. She bit her finger and dropped her blood into the pendant. She thought about the Palace, and a hole appeared in front of her.

Rosina jumped, and the hole vanished. After a few seconds, the door opened.

Draco went inside and saw no one. He sniffed in the air and smelled a strong Jasmine scent. He followed it and ended up at a dead end, making him confused.

"What is Rosalina doing here?" Draco asked himself before walking out to find Rosina. He felt the need to know her whereabouts.

Rosina came out of the hole in the Palace inside the King’s office. It was currently empty, and the table was full of papers. She made sure to remove her artificial scent before rummaging against the table to look for the King’s plan.

"Where is it?" Rosina whispered and opened the cabinets, but she found nothing. The papers were about the pack’s problems that the King ignored.

Rosina groaned since she had been there for fifteen minutes, and the more she stayed, the higher the chances that the King would arrive.

"Don’t tell me they still don’t have any plans for the war yet?" Rosina closed her eyes and tried to relax. She continued to search until she stumbled upon the carpet that was folded under the King’s table.

Rosina looked at it before lifting the carpet; that was when she saw a loose cover on the floor. Her eyes widened at the discovery, and she opened the lid and saw multiple papers stacked together in a leather folder.
