Chapter 140: The Future Undead
Chapter 140: The Future Undead
Rosina tapped her feet against the floor while looking at the unconscious woman in front of her, who was placed in a cage.
"I didn’t know you were gonna help me, Vanda," Rosina sighed deeply and looked at the woman grinning widely.
"Why won’t I? This is one of the best moments that happened to me after so many years of living a boring life!" Vanda exclaimed and rolled her eyes.
Rosina shook her head. She wasn’t angry or frustrated about Vanda’s action. After all, she was the reason why she was still breathing.
"What do you want as payment for helping me with my plans?" Rosina asked since she knew that Vanda wouldn’t do it for free.
"I feel hurt that you think like that, Rosina?" Vanda placed her hand on her chest and acted like she was hurt by Rosina’s words.
"Drop the act, Vanda," Rosina shook her head with amusement.
"Well, I just thought of something. If your plan succeeded and you rule the Werewolf realm...." Vanda muttered and batted her eyelashes at Rosina. "Perhaps I can go to the Mating Event."
Rosina blinked her eyes multiple times to ensure she was not hearing things. "Are you saying you wanted to go to the Mating Event and find your mate?"
"Of course! I would love to wear cute and fancy dresses!" Vanda exclaimed and dreamily thought of strutting into the Palace wearing a full-blown gown.
"You’re old," Rosina stated with a deadpan expression, which made Vanda pissed a little.
Vanda went in front of Rosina and pinched her cheeks. "I’m only years older than you."
"Okay, I understand," Rosina removed Vanda’s hand and caressed her swollen cheeks. She was surprised at Vanda’s request for payment, but she could understand since Vanda wasn’t allowed to enter the Mating Event.
"Then, what’s your plan with that girl?" Vanda asked and pointed at Mari’s unconscious form in her cage. She had drugged Mari to sleep after kidnapping her.
"She’s Pepe’s mate, and I’m going to use her against the 13th pack," Rosina stated and glared at Mari. She was still pissed at how Mari lingered around Draco even though she had said before that she would only give her first time to her mate.
"I see," Vanda nodded and stared at Mari’s features. "She looks decent, but I don’t sense a strong personality from her. She’s a weak wolf."
"She’s a servant from the Palace, an Omega," Rosina sighed and wondered how the mates worked in the first place.
"Well, I don’t want to think much. Say what I need to do, and I’ll just do it," Vanda shrugged and lay on her sofa while eating a brownie.
"For now, I will wait till Draco arrives at the Sabrecrown. It might take a few days or weeks. I need to use your portal to go into places without trouble," Rosina stated while Vanda took notes mentally.
"Alright," Vanda grumbled and tossed Rosina a necklace with a black oval pendant. "Use that to make portals."
Rosina caught it quickly and wore it around her neck. "Thank you."
"Well, let’s go use that portal for practice," Vanda winked and gestured for Rosina to stand at the center. "Just think of a place and drop your blood in the pendant; that will do the magic."
"Okay," Rosina nodded and bit her finger, dripping her blood onto the black pendant.
"For now, think about the camp. I need to do something there," Vanda stated while getting her bag.
Rosina thought about the camp and, after a few seconds. The floor in front of her opened up like a tunnel.
"These will lead to the camp?" Rosina asked, but Vanda didn’t reply and pushed her instead.
"You’ll know when you get there!" Vanda shouted and jumped at the tunnel before it closed.
The tunnel was dark since they were traveling through the ground. Then a light shined from afar; It was the exit.
Rosina and Vanda were tossed outside in the camp, and the stenched of death hit their noses.
"Ugh!" Rosina groaned at sight. "Useless deaths."
"They’re not useless. It’s their job as knights. Haha!" Vanda laughed and went to examine one of the corpses.
"What are we doing here?" Rosina asked and watched Vanda poking the dead body.
"Usual stuff," Vanda winked and rummaged in her bag.
"Are you going to—"
"No, I won’t. Creating another life like yours would drain me for years. I won’t do it again," Vandal stated with a sigh. "I wanted several of their body parts for my collection."
Rosina pursed her lips and watched Vanda plucking out the knight’s eye.
"I have a suggestion," Rosina grabbed Vanda’s shoulder to stop her.
"Oh, what is it?" Vanda smirked.
"How about we preserve their bodies and make use of them in the future," Rosina stated with a dark expression. "They will play a huge role in the upcoming war."
"Rosina, are you saying you want me to create an undead army?" Vanda gasped with wide eyes, and Rosina nodded. "Such unholy request."
"I know you like it," Rosina winked at Vandal with amusement before taking a step back to create a distance when Vanda did her job.
"You know me very well, my dear! Haha!" Vanda exclaimed, and her maniac side appeared. She flicked her finger, and every dead knight was swallowed to the ground, preserving their bodies until they would use them.
"Undead army... What a clever idea," Vanda chuckled and glanced at Rosina, who was smirking.
"A group of rogues isn’t enough to defeat the Palace’s army. We should start gathering dead bodies and create our own army that no one expected," Rosina spoke evilly. Her body trembled as she started laughing.
Rosina’s left eye glowed bright green. Her cheeks cracked where the light was leaking out.
Vandal watched the child she once saved from death become someone everyone would fear. She had never expected Rosina to turn that way, but she didn’t regret her choice to keep Rosina.
Although, Rosina became someone that was both dead and alive.
