Chapter 132: The Threat of Leaving
It has been two days since Rosina has been with Draco. She saw how the preparation for war was faster than she expected them, but she didn’t want the war to happen.
"What should I do to prevent the war from happening?" Rosina whispered and kept walking back and forth while biting her nails. She was thinking of a plan that would prevent the war at all costs.
"The Palace wanted the 13th pack so bad, but what if they just leave it be?" Rosina muttered with a hiss. "But then, it would create chaos since there are two Kings."
"The safe option was to make Pepe surrender the 13th pack. Then, everything will be in place, but what will happen to the rogues?" Rosina added and put both hands on her waist.
"We can take them in. After all, we would be leading the 13th pack, right?" Draco answered as he heard Rosina’s last sentence.
"Ah! You’re right!" Rosina exclaimed, delighted that Draco was willing to take in the rogues.
"But, it would be a problem if they didn’t want to submit to us. After all, they needed to follow our rules instead of Pepe’s. The changes might be too much for them since the pack would be legalized," Draco added and placed his sword on the table.
"Hmm, yeah," Rosina sighed. She didn’t realize how hard it would be. She sat on the chair, facing her back against Draco. She didn’t know why her body reacted differently to Draco’s presence.
"By the way, I’ve arranged a tent for you beside mine. You can occupy it now—"
Before Draco could finish his sentence. Rosina dashed outside to settle in her tent. She had been living in Draco’s tent for two days, and she didn’t get an hour of good sleep since the sparks kept waking her up.
Rosina entered the tent and flopped in the bed. Her tent was simple, unlike Draco’s tent, which was full of his stuff.
"Finally, a good night’s sleep for me!" Rosina muttered with a huge satisfied smile.
"I’m glad you like the tent," Draco entered with a smile. He looked around while nodding his head.
"This is fine. I can have my time alone, too," Rosina muttered and sat up.
The two of them looked at one another, and immediately, the sparks erupted in their spine, making their body shiver. They acted like nothing had happened and avoided each other’s gaze.
For Draco, he didn’t want to admit that he felt the spark since he didn’t wish Rosina to be wary of him. Especially since he knew Pepe was also feeling the spark, but Rosina felt nothing.
’Maybe it’s just a regular spark caused by tension,’ Draco thought and shrugged it off.
"Then I’ll leave you alone. I have a meeting with Gastone about attacking the 13th pack after two days," Draco informed before walking out of the tent.
Rosina opened her mouth to ask if she could come, but Draco left.
"Two days, huh?" Rosina sighed deeply and closed her eyes, trying to relax, but she couldn’t. "Why am I like this? I literally kill wolves most of the time, but now... Why do I care if they die?"
Rosina groaned and pulled her hair. She had gotten a headache from too much thinking of a plan to stop the war from happening.
"Oh wait... If I could find Pepe’s mate. Then I could blackmail him into surrendering the 13th pack!" Rosina exclaimed with excitement, but her smile vanished. "But how?"
"Umm, Your Highness?" a soft voice called out for Rosina outside the tent.
"Come in," Rosina positioned herself to look sophisticated. Her eyes widened when she saw who had entered her tent.
"Mari..." Rosina gasped. She wasn’t expecting her to come into the 13th pack’s territory. "What are you doing here?"
"Your Highness... Prince Draco took me in to take care of you," Mari whispered and couldn’t look into Rosina’s eyes. She felt awkward after what had happened with them before.
That was when Rosina realized that Fina and Sal were nowhere to be found, but Mari was sent instead as her servant.
"I see," Rosina smiled since she couldn’t do anything but plan to scold Draco later. "Perhaps bring me some warm milk, Mari."
"Yes, Your Highness!" Mari flinched and hurriedly went out of the tent to find some milk for Rosina.
"Ugh," Rosina groaned and touched her left eye, which turned bright green. "Maybe... I should visit her again."
Rosina stood up and went out of her tent. Since she only had two days to find a way. She needed to move as soon as possible, and vanishing without a word from Draco would make the situation worst.
Rosina went to the main tent, where the meeting was ongoing. She waited outside since she didn’t want to disturb them.
The knights became stiff at Rosina’s appearance, and they couldn’t help but become uncomfortable when Rosina stared at them due to boredom.
On the other side, Draco facepalmed since he knew that Rosina was waiting outside. He couldn’t concentrate since he could hear Rosina’s steps echoing on the ground.
"Wait, I’ll be back," Draco stated to Gastone before leaving the tent and seeing Rosina making the knights uneasy.
"Rosina, what are you doing here?" Draco stated and approached her.
"I have something to say," Rosina smiled and pulled Draco’s shirt rather than his hand since the spark would ignite again.
Rosina dragged Draco to the woods where no one was around. "I’ll leave for a while, but don’t worry about me."
"Hah? Where are you going? Don’t tell me you’ll go back to that rogue?" Draco stated firmly, referring to Pepe.
"No! Somewhere else, but I won’t tell you the reason behind it. I informed you to prevent panic from my disappearance," Rosina smiled, thinking that Draco would agree.
Draco didn’t say a word, but his facial expression became gloomy, and his eyes glared at Rosina. He walked closer with his dominating aura excreting from his pores.
"Rosina, you were kidnapped, and we searched hard and long for you. Now, you’re back in my arms but want to leave again. No, I won’t allow it," Draco growled and bared his fangs toward Rosina as a sign of threat if she ever left his sight.
