Rosina walked to an unkempt place where dried leaves scattered on the clearing and at the center was a grave.

"I finally meet you again, Peride," Rosina muttered with disgust. She placed two dried red roses on the grave and looked at the name sketched on the stone.

Peride Allessi was the previous Rogue King and Pepe’s father.

Rosina went to find his burial site and reminisce the memories she had with the 13th pack to grow back the pain and hatred she felt back then. She wanted to use her emotions to fuel herself for the upcoming war that she couldn’t escape.

"Peride, do you remember me? The girl you molested?" Rosina whispered and sat down on the grass. She touched the stone tomb with a hateful smile.

"You must have forgotten about me after rotting for years. Let me help you remember," Rosina stated with an amused chuckle. She unlocked the memories she kept for years inside her brain.

It was one of the memories that formed Rosina’s identity in the present.

Rosina’s fragile and thin body ran through the forest. She was trying her best not to fall behind since her parents would send pursuers the moment they knew she escaped.

She didn’t know where she was going, but all she could think about was getting away from her parents no matter what happened.

Stumbling outside the 12th pack’s territory, Rosina felt safe and decided to go further. She smiled at the fresh air of freedom she finally attained after so many years of mistreatment.

After days of running and barely taking sleep, Rosina crossed the 13th pack’s territory without her knowledge since it was surrounded by huge trees. Although, she could smell several wolf scents lingering in the air. That didn’t stop her.

Rosina was trembling from hunger and thirst. She looked around to find shelter since the sky was gloomy and it might start raining. She walked a few more times before she spotted a small cave from afar.

"Finally!" Rosina exclaimed with delight and ran toward the cave, but she felt her body flipped into the air. That was when she realized she had fallen into an animal trap. A rope was gripping tightly into her leg, preventing her from escaping.

"He-help!" Rosina shouted, but no one answered. After a few minutes, she felt lightheaded from being upside down.

Rosina tried to open her eyes and struggled to lift her body to untie the rope, but her lack of energy was preventing her to do so. It didn’t take long before she lost consciousness, but before her eyes completely closed. She saw several men walking straight at her with a grin on their lips.

"Ugh," Rosina groaned while waking up, but all she could see was darkness. She squeaked in panic and crawled backward, only to touch the silver bars, causing her great pain.

"Ah!" Rosina screamed in pain, waking several she-wolves inside the cells, but they didn’t give a f^ck about her since they were all in the same situation.

"Wh-where am I?" Rosina whispered and hugged herself for comfort.

"You’re in the 13th pack, child," a whisper was heard beside Rosina’s cell. The voice was weak but gentle.

"13th pack?" Rosina muttered in confusion. She had never heard about the 13th pack. She always believed that Palecrest, the 12th pack was the last one in line.

"Yes," the voice replied weakly.

"Wh-what will happen to us?" Rosina asked nervously. The place was giving her a flashback to her old room where she was kept in the dark.

Before the woman could answer. The door opened and two wolf guards entered. They went and opened Rosina’s cell, dragging her outside.

"Where are you taking me!?" Rosina screamed and struggled to be free, but her words didn’t reach their ears. After all, she was the one who entered the territory.

Rosina was sent to another dark room that had a huge bed at the center. She was thrown inside and imprisoned again. That made her very anxious and went to the corner of the room and hugged herself.

After an hour, a man entered the room holding a torch that lit up the place. He knelt in front of Rosina and held her chin up to look at her face.

Two female servants entered and bowed behind the man.

"Clean her and make sure that she smells nice," the man stated firmly before stepping to the side and letting the servants do their job.

Rosina’s body shivered in fear when the servants took care of her. She thought they would take her outside, but they cleaned her body in front of the man.

Rosina tried to cover her private parts, but it was inevitable. She couldn’t do anything and let them do whatever they want. After all, she was still a child.

After Rosina was bathed and wore a clean dress. The servants placed her in the bed before going out and locking the door.

The man grinned and stood in front of her. His eyes traced Rosina’s small body with lust.

"Tell me, what is your name and how old are you?" the man stated in a friendly manner. He took out a cookie behind his back and gave it to Rosina.

"R-rose... I’m 10 years old," Rosina muttered with pure innocence. She accepted the cookie and took a bite since she was hungry.

"Hmm, did you run away from your parents? Your pack?" the man asked and sat next to Rosina.

"Y-yes, they are mean," Rosina muttered while munching the cookie. Somehow, she began to trust the man since he was nice to her.

"I see, then I can let you stay here as long as you want, but on one condition," the man exclaimed and removed his robe.

Rosina’s eyes twinkled when the man allowed her to stay. "Are you the Alpha? Thank you, but what is the condition?"

"Hmm, let’s play house," the man’s grin widened as he patted Rosina’s head. "Let me show you how love and care work."
