Rosina was frozen in her spot while Pepe was hugging her close. She was confused at what state Pepe thought that she was his mate.

"Pepe, did you hear what I just said?" Rosina asked. At that point, she was frustrated and felt that her words meant nothing to Pepe.

"I know, but don’t you feel this!?" Pepe pushed Rosina slightly to look into his eyes. He brushed Rosina’s cheeks for their skin to touch and instantly felt the spark ignited on the spot.

Rosina stopped walking and glanced at Pepe. "I know my husband will be here, and I don’t want to create conflict between you and him. I will go back to my normal life, same as you," she stated, but it was a facade.

Pepe gritted his teeth from anger. He imagined Rosina walking away from his life, and he wouldn’t be able to see her again broke his heart and soul. He watched as Rosina walked out the door, leaving him alone in the dining room.

"I won’t let you go. Even if I needed to go to war with the Palace," Pepe whispered with determination to keep Rosina by his side no matter how much it took.
