Chapter 113: The Other Violante

Rosina clenched her fist against the feather she used to sign the papers in front of her. She was working on the needs of the she-wolves in the pack and marked those that would be implemented.

"Ah! This suck!" Rosina groaned loudly before standing up, stumping her feet, and going to Pepe’s office.

Rosina knocked twice before entering the door and saw Pepe’s haggard face from his work. He looked up at Rosina and forced a smile.

"Is there something you need, Rose?" Pepe asked. When he said Rosina’s nickname, his voice turned soft, and a pink hue appeared on his cheeks in a few seconds before it vanished, but Rosina was able to catch a glimpse of it.

"Are we calling each other’s name now?" Rosina teased. It was the first time that Pepe called her by nickname.

"Sure, Rose," Pepe replied with a smirk. "You can call me Pepe as well."

"Pepe," Rosina muttered. Feeling the twist of her tongue by saying Pepe’s name.

"Hmm," Pepe hummed and stared at Rosina with a deadpan expression, but deep inside. His heart was beating loudly, nearly knocking him off. He cleared his throat and calmed himself. "What do you need?"

Rosina looked at Pepe with a wide smile. She has been bored and wanted to do something. After all, her body was still yearning for a soul.

"I want to meet the other captured she-wolves," Rosina stated nonchalantly, which surprised Pepe.

"What!?" Pepe slammed his hand on the table in surprise and looked at Rosina in disbelief. "What are you planning to do?"

Rosina tilted her head toward Pepe’s reaction to her request. "I’m the Queen. I need to look for those she-wolves’ condition. After all, they were taken from their family, and the least we could do was make their lives a bit better here."

Pepe’s face hardened at Rosina’s words, but what she said was true. He couldn’t help but avoid Rosina’s stare since the condition of the kidnapped she-wolves was horrible, and he was ashamed to show her that.

"I wanted to know something, Pepe, and I want you to be honest with me," Rosina stated thoughtfully. Her voice was firm as she moved toward Pepe’s table.

"What’s your purpose of kidnapping she-wolves from the other pack and bringing them here?"

Pepe cleared his throat and looked at Rosina sincerely. "This pack grew every day, but the gender ratio was imbalanced. This pack has more male rogues than females, and as their King, I want them to find their mates."

"That’s why you kidnapped she-wolves in hopes that one of them is your member’s mate?" Rosina asked with a furrowed eyebrow.

"Yes," Pepe answered.

Those pieces of information started to form in Rosina’s mind. She couldn’t help but laugh at Pepe’s idea to get his male wolves a mate.

"But what will happen to those she-wolves that don’t have a mate in this pack?" Rosina crossed her arms, hoping that it wasn’t that bad.

Pepe sighed and massaged his temples. He was expecting Rosina to ask about the other Kidnapped she-wolves, but he wasn’t ready to answer them yet. Initially, he didn’t care about it, but he wanted to have a good image for Rosina.

"Those unmated she-wolves stayed here and served as an Omega. Several of them marry our other mateless members as well," Pepe stated nonchalantly. Trying to show that it all went well in the end.

Rosina pursed her lips and didn’t say a word. She didn’t expect Pepe would let the girls set free since they would report what happened to their Alpha, and it would reach the Palace.

"Also, one reason I didn’t let them out was because they were already considered rogues by their individual packs," Pepe added. Thinking it would help him gain positive points from Rosina.

"I see. Then I shall go and visit them," Rosina stated cheerfully before bowing and walking out of the door before Pepe could speak.

Rosina sighed heavily outside. She felt sorry for those kidnapped she-wolves who couldn’t see their family because of what Pepe did to them.

’They have stripped those she-wolves from their family, and he thinks it’s okay since they won’t be able to return to their packs since they are now considered rogues,’ Rosina thought. She was pissed at how Pepe managed his member’s mates, but she couldn’t blame him.

Rosina was walking down the Castle when she realized she had forgotten where the cells were located. She stood in the long hallway and sniffed the air.

"I’ll just follow Donata’s scent," Rosina muttered before walking. What she liked in the Castle was that no servants followed behind her back.

Rosina felt free to dress and bathe on her own even though she was held as a Queen. She passed by the guards, and they bowed at her and went back to their work.

There were several servants along the way, and they immediately submitted to her even though Rosina tried her best to ignore them.

Rosina began sniffing again when a familiar servant approached her.

"My Queen, I was tasked to take you to the cells," she stated with her head lowered. She took a step back and gestured for Rosina to walk in front.

"Did Pepe mind-link you?" Rosina asked, and the servant flinched when she heard Pepe’s name spoken without the title.

"Ye-yes, my Queen," the servant answered softly.

"I see. Tell me, are you also a Kidnapped she-wolf?" Rosina stopped walking and faced the girl behind.

"Ah... Yes, my Queen," the servant muttered and took a step back to create some distance from Rosina.

Rosina looked at the servant with pity and glanced at her frail body. "What is your name, and which pack did you come from?"

The servant was surprised that Rosina took an interest in her background. Her body started trembling when she tried to remember who she was. "My Queen, please keep my identity hidden."

"Sure, you can trust me," Rosina smiled at the servant and held her hand to show sincerity.

"I’m Ambra Violante, from the Sabrecrown pack." the servant whispered with pain in her eyes.
