Chapter 34: Chapter 34- Night Out
MICHAEL~
As we walked through the doors I immediately wanted to turn around and leave, the smell, the sound, and the blaring and flashing lights.
"Thomas what the actual fuck!" I shouted into his ear.
"Don’t complain, bro, Tonight we’re gonna own this place!" He replied as we began to through the crowds of dancing people, We went straight to the bar and sat on the stools that were free.
"Two shots of tequila!" Thomas said to the bartender.
"Coming up Tom," the bartender said as he picked up a bottle and some cups, he filled them up and passed them back to us.
"Thanks, bro," Thomas said as he picked his up and chugged it, I looked at him.
"Drink up" he insisted.
"If I get drunk, who’s gonna drive us back?" I asked, he shook his head as he picked mine up and drank it too, and then he turned back to the club.
"What’s the plan?"
"We are eligible bachelors, there is no plan" Thomas shouted as he stood up from the desk and walked up to a random woman who was so far away from us, I remained where I was watching him as he worked.
"What’s up Mama," he said to the woman.
"Hey," she replied as she turned to face him.
"I’m Thomas, what’s your name?" He asked, his voice soft.
"I’m Cindy"
"Hey Cindy, you look really beautiful this evening"
"Thank you, Thomas".
"You’re welcome, that’s my friend, Micheal, he said he likes your dress," he said with his finger pointing to me, he led her to me and then whispered in my ear.
"Be nice" then he disappeared into the crowd.
"Hey Michael," she said with a smile.
"Hey Cindy" I greeted back with a warm smile "You look uhh—" I fumbled for words and she laughed.
"You don’t do this a lot right" she asked with a chuckle.
"Nope, he dragged me here" I answered feeling a little embarrassed.
"It’s ok," she said with a chuckle.
"Is it?" I asked, not completely sure it was ok to make a fool of yourself in front of a stranger.
"Yeah, I like shy guys," she said with a flirtatious glare, I felt the blood rush up to my cheek but I remained silent and just smiled at her. The song that was playing changed and a smile and joyful smile curved her lips.
"I love this Song." she said happily as she began swaying her head from side to side, enjoying the rhythm of the music "Can you dance?" she asked.
"I cannot." I was immediately admitted.
"Ohk, I’ll teach you, just follow my lead." she pulled me behind her and I followed with a smile as we joined the people that were dancing, she put one of my hands on her back and the other just a little bit over her ass, I blushed, it was soft, I felt it tighten in my groin from excitement, Thomas was right, it had been a while.
"Look into my eyes." she said and I obliged, I stared into her gray eyes and she stared into mine "Don’t rush, just take your time."
"Ohk." I said with a small smile as we continued moving to the beat.

The rest of the night went by in a blur and before I knew it I was being woken up by the light of morning hitting against my eyes, I groaned as I stood up from my bed only to see I wasn’t in my bed but unto a couch and I wasn’t even in my house, I looked around and saw I was in Thomas’s house, there he was, still asleep on the floor with the woman he had shown me in the picture laying down with her head on his chest, I felt something light on me and when I looked down it was the woman I had met at the bar, Cindy covered in a blanket.
"Fuckkkkk." I cursed quietly as I slowly uncovered myself from the blanket and stepped away from the couch, quietly I left the room and the building and went back to mine, only when I entered my room did I start feeling the effects of the the night I had, I pushed through as I washed up and went to work but instead of driving I followed the bus so as to avoid any incidents that may occur due to my intoxication. When I entered my office I shut the blinds and disconnected the phone so they couldn’t reach me then I lay on the floor and tried to recall the night I had but nothing came back to me leaving me with a lasting feeling of dread.
*Knock Knock* I heard someone bang at my door, I remained on the floor not wanting to answer who pushed the door open.
"Micheal, are you ok?" Dina asked as she poked her head through the door, I let out a tired groan as I stood to my feet and looked at her.
"Of course I am." I lied as I took my seat, I felt a shooting pain in my head but I played it off with a relaxed smile.
"You’re not ok," she argued as she walked to me and held my hand in hers, her scent filled my nose and I didn’t have enough willpower to stop myself from saying.
"Have I ever told you, you smell really nice?" I blurted out and immediately regretted it, she smiled at me as she let go of my palm and took a step back.
"Did you go out last night?" She asked and I felt a wave of guilt as I remembered my dance with Cindy, I felt like scum, why? I didn’t do anything wrong, so why did it feel like I cheated?
"What—What makes you ask that?"
"Well you seem hungover and drunk at the same time and since I know you don’t usually drink, I’m guessing Thomas took you out." She said with a smile, spot on.
"I’m not drunk though," I argued.
"Ok, but to be on the safe side I’ll drive you home." She said making it clear it wasn’t a request to buy something she was going to do.
"Oh, beautiful," I said as I whirled in my chair and she chuckled and walked out.
