Alpha Damon's Greatest Regret
Chapter 102- A Moment

Chapter 102: Chapter 102- A Moment

Daniel’s pov

The bar we were headed to wasn’t just any bar it was meant for the Alpha alone, a private space where only trusted members of the pack could come and speak freely.

Trixie was adjusting her dress and making sure of her cleavage.

" Relax, " she whispered, her voice low as she leaned in near. " I’m just trying to keep it casual and practice how to get to the Alpha."

Crazy.

She was good at this — too good. I could see it in the way she smiled, how she touched my arm like she was staking her claim. But I didn’t let it get to me. I was here for a reason, and it had nothing to do with her games.

We reached the door of the bar, and I gave the guard a nod. He stepped away without a word. Damon had a separate time with pleasure and business. He’d be here soon.

Where Alpha’s blood ran thick.

I couldn’t help but feel a little uneasy as I led her inside. She stared everywhere in shock and then took a seat and did a touch-up of her makeup.

But only for a moment.

We took a seat at a corner table, and I gestured to the bartender for drinks. I knew Damon would show up any second. He wasn’t the type to make anyone wait for him.

" So, Daniel, " she said, her voice smooth like honey, as she leaned in and lowered her voice. " Tell me, what’s really going on with you and the Alpha?" Then she added. "Don’t forget my pay too."

I chortled, letting my eyes move to hers. She was playing with fire, but I didn’t mind. " What can I say? Damon and I go way back. We’ve got history, but you know how it is. Power can change effects. "

Her fingers brushed against mine again, a little more insistently this time. She was trying to get under my skin, trying to make something be that I wasn’t willing to give.

She was a slut so what was I expecting. A one-night stand and money.

Just then, the door swung open, and Damon walked in, the air in the room shifting with his presence. He’d that confidence. He was the Alpha so what was I expecting?

The woman next to me uncurled up, her eyes glinting with something I hadn’t seen before — interest, perhaps even lust. She was all business now. The coyness was gone, replaced by something even calculating.

" Greetings, Alpha, " she purred, leaning forward with a sly smile. " It’s a pleasure to eventually meet you. "

Damon’s eyes darted to her, and for a moment, I could see the flicker of something in his eyes. He was kind of surprised.

Damon wasn’t someone who trusted fluently. He knew how to read people, and I could tell he wasn’t sure about this woman — about the situation.

But I didn’t give him time to speak. I stepped in, keeping the discussion going, keeping everything light.

" Damon, I’d like you to meet someone who could be of great use to us, " I said, leaning back in my chair, watching both of them. " Trixie Fisher, She’s someone who knows how to get things done. Someone who could help us, especially with the. Issues we’ve been dealing with. "

Damon didn’t feel convinced, but his attention never wavered " What exactly is it you think you can help with? " he asked, his voice low and measured.

She leaned in indeed further, her body language all but screaming that she was in control of this discussion now. " I can help you with whatever you need. However, I can make it light, If you want something done. "

She was good at this. Too good.

But trust wasn’t what mattered right now. What mattered was making him feel like he had no other options.

" So, tell me, " Damon said, his voice smooth but with an edge I love. " What exactly is it that you’re offering? "

I knew he was already hating the way she behaved.

Her smile widened, a little too wide.

" Anything you need, " she said, her eyes fluttering over him like she was assessing him. " Daniel already gave me a tiny details but you can do the rest." She leaned so close that her nipples were poking.

I could see Damon’s lips strain, a muscle in his jaw tightening. He didn’t like what she was offering, but he didn’t shut her out. Not yet.

I leaned back, watching. Damon had always been a little too proud, a little too stubborn. But that was exactly why I was here.

I needed to convince him that if he didn’t act now, he was going to lose everything.

But the further time passed, the more he realized that he didn’t have a choice.

I saw how her fingers stylishly ran over his arms again, a little more insistently this time. She was trying to get under Damon’s skin, testing the waters to see how far she could push. But Damon didn’t reply. He just kept watching.

She leaned closer, her lips curving into a small smile. " You’re a lot more intriguing than I thought, Alpha, " she said, her voice smooth. " I didn’t think you had to be this hot and sexy. "

Damon’s eyes darted to mine for a brief second, and I could see that he was trying to figure out what the hell was going on. But tonight wasn’t about him figuring things out. Tonight was about him seeing that he had no other choice but to listen to me.

The woman leaned indeed closer, her breath warm against Damon’s cheeks. " I never knew you were this handsome, Alpha, " she said, her voice low and slutty

I just pray he agrees to this half of my plans will start working.

I stood up, my chair scraping against the floor as I excused myself. " I’ll leave you two to talk, " I said, my voice cold. I didn’t look back as I walked toward the door, my mind was already concentrated on how my plans would take place.
