Alpha Damon's Greatest Regret
Chapter 101- Web Of Deceit

Chapter 101: Chapter 101- Web Of Deceit

Daniel’s pov

Damon should better start to be a rogue. That position of Alpha is mine. Tonight I had something different up my sleeves and I was ready to do whatever it took to get there.

But my mind? My mind was never out. I was always calculating, always planning.

And tonight? Tonight I had a plan.

Damon thinks that he is better than anyone else just because he’s the Alpha but news flash I got something up my sleeves and I bet he won’t see this coming.

I was glad he had issues with his wolf and all.

I watched her from across the room. She sat in the corner, fluttering her dark hair behind her shoulder.

Then with practiced expertise, she moved to the stage, her hope swaying as she danced to the music and when she bent low, her neckline was aggressively low and it showed in full as the men watching clapped and cheered.

She was smiling coyly at me as she danced on the pole.

Every move she made felt deliberate — like she was trying to get someone’s attention. It worked, of course. She knew exactly what she was doing.

I walked toward her after she was done, She glanced up as I approached, a slow smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

" Mind if I join you? " I asked, my voice low and smooth as I hailed a waiter and got a glass of whiskey.

She smiled and bit hard on the gum in her mouth. "Sure."

I slid into the seat across from her without another word.

Her eyes lifted to meet mine — calculated, as always. She had a way of making you feel like she was reading every part of you like she could see through your skin into your soul. She rather her hands over he breasts but I was here for business.

"Not now, Trixie. It’s business time.’

She scowled, easily enjoying the way I made her delay for me to speak.

" What’s your game, Daniel " she asked, her fingers tapping rhythmically on her drink. " You’re not here for fun. "

I leaned in slightly, lowering my voice. " You’re right, Trixie. I’m here for something a lot more intriguing than fun. "

She raised an eyebrow, easily intrigued but trying to act otherwise. She always played that game. But I knew better. She was hooked. She just needed the right bait.

" You’re smart, so you know the Alpha is in trouble. "

Her lips coiled into a knowing smile. " Oh, I know. The news had been circulating but I don’t know if it’s true." She shrugged. "Not like I care." She chewed on her gum and it made a low sound.

"It’s true but no one except me and a few trusted ones know what’s going on."

I let out a breath, letting the pressure hang in the air. " Damon’s got a problem. He’s weak. His bond with Zarah is slipping, and if he doesn’t find a companion, he’s done for. His pack won’t follow him, and the wolf in him will fade. It’s only a matter of time. "

I watched as her eyes glinted with something I couldn’t place — interest, perhaps, or something further. But whatever it was, it was there. She was listening.

" But it doesn’t have to go that way, " I continued, leaning. " I’ve got a plan. And when it works out, you’ll be the one to profit. "

She chewed her gum like the slut she was, " Oh, really? And how is that going to be? "

I let the silence stretch for a beat, just enough to make her delay, and then I smiled, knowing she was hanging on every word. " You’ve got connections. You’ve got the body, the kind of body that will make a man now.

She smiled.

She wasn’t an idiot. She knew what I was asking for, and she knew what it would bring.

" You want me to help you with Damon? " she asked, her tone slutty.

I nodded, my eyes never leaving hers. " That’s exactly what I’m asking. Help me weaken him. Push him further, make him suppose he’s got no choice but to find another mate. However, perhaps he’ll even let his guard down If he gets hopeless enough. That’s when we’ll strike. I’ll take his pack, and he’ll be nothing but a shadow. "

Her lips coiled into a smile, but it wasn’t the smile of someone who had just agreed to help. It was something colder, more calculating.

" And when you’re in charge, what do I get? " she asked, her smile widening.

I leaned back in my seat, my eyes never leaving hers. " You’ll get everything you want. Money. Influence. Control. You’ve always wanted it, haven’t you? "

She stared at me for a long moment, biting her gum courteously.

" You really think you can pull this off? " she asked. There was a hint of skepticism in her voice, but it didn’t bother me.

I smiled darkly. " I’m not asking for your trust. I’m asking for your help "

She clicked her gum, also eventually sighed.

" I’ve worked with worse, " she said, her voice smooth. " But you more make it worth my time, Daniel. "

I beamed, the plan already taking shape in my mind. " Oh, it’ll be worth your time. Trust me. "

Her expression softened just slightly, her lips curving into a sly smile. " I don’t generally do this, but for you, Daniel I’ll play along. This could be delightful. "

I nodded, feeling the first rush of expectation run through me. This was it. The pieces were falling into place, and soon, Damon would be too weak to stop me. His bond with Zarah would be his death. He’d deteriorate, and I’d be standing on top of it all. I would be the Alpha.

" You’ll get your chance, " I said, my voice low and dangerous. " Just relax. When this plan hits, we’ll both be in control. But you have to trust me on this. "

She leaned forward, her eyes locking with mine.

" Trust you? " she asked and her smile grew wide. " Just leave it to me."
