Looking at Leon, who was pleasing Renea so much, Kailey’s heart filled with hatred.

It was clear that Renea was just an adopted daughter, but she was the child of the Morris family. So, why her father’s attitude was so cold towards her, but he was so attentive towards Renea?

Leon angrily rebuked, “What do you know?”

Leon vented Renea’s indifference to Susan.

The dissatisfaction that had been pent up in her heart for so many years was now coming out in a single breath.

Leon disliked her being like this. Without saying anything, he flung his hand angrily and went to the study. In his opinion, Susan’s words and actions were just short-sighted women’s opinions.

“Mom, you should not be angry with Dad. Dad has his reason for doing this,” Kailey persuaded from the side.

“I was really pissed off for a second. I will go to apologize your dad now!” Susan said said, as she was about to head towards the study.

However, she was pulled back by Kailey, “Mom, I think it’s better if I go!”

“Yes, yes, yes. It’s best if you go! Kailey, tell your father that I was just confused for a moment because of anger. And that I didn’t mean to be like that. I know that everything he was doing is for the sake of Morris family!”

Now, Leon’s words and behavior were the same as Sir Morris’s back then. Forgiving Renea to the extreme. Although she didn’t know their intention, she knew one thing very well this was not a good start for her.

If she alienated Leon from them because of her emotions, wouldn’t that mean that she was doing what Renea wanted? She didn’t want things like the inheritance to happen a second time.

Kailey knocked on the door of the study and walked in. Leon’s face didn’t look any better when he saw her.

“Dad, don’t be angry with mom. She said all that because she is being repressing things about my brother for too long.”

At the mention of Dylan Leon’s face became even more ugly and he said, “Don’t mention Dylan in front of me again.”

If it was not for Dylan, the company would not have been in such trouble again and several of the companies that had invested in it before had withdrawn their investments.

Kailey said without hesitation, as she looked at Leon’s face capturing every single change in his expression.

“Did your mom tell you that again?” Leon asked angrily.

“No, dad please don’t blame mom. I went to see my brother at the police station after he was taken there!”

Leon was about to get angry, but he was interrupted by Kailey’s words.

“Dylan said that Renea went to him and admitted that she was responsible for what happened to my him and he also said that Renea did it all for the jade pendant.”

Upon hearing the word “jade pendant” Leon’s face turns ugly.

“Dad according to Dylan, as long as Renea get the jade pan dent she will let him go. However, if what brother said is true and sister has already gotten the jade pendant, then why she’s still refusing to let brother go?”

Kailey said as she looked at Leon with a puzzled face. At this moment, Leon’s face was quite ugly and turned green and white from anger.

“Is there something wrong with the jade pendant? Or is brother is lying? Dad, is this jade pendant involved in something beside sister’s birth?”
