Chapter 86: FINDING OUT ABOUT THE EVENT IN EFFIEL TOWER

Maren gently pushed open the door, slipping into Astrid’s room. Soft morning light peeked through the curtains, illuminating the space.

Astrid lay buried under plush blankets, her gentle snores filling the air.

Maren approached the bed, a warm smile on her face. "Rise and shine, sleepyhead!" She called, tapping and poking her.

Astrid groggily opened her eyes, disoriented, she slapped her hands off. "Go away, haven’t had a good sleep." She murmured, her hands wrapping around the duvet.

"Hey, it’s morning already..." Maren announced still trying to wake her up.

"What...time is it?" She asked, still sleepy.

Maren glanced at her watch. "4:00 AM. Time to start your fitness journey!"

Astrid groaned, tossing her pillow. "Still 4 AM! You’re kidding, right?"

Maren chuckled, pulling Astrid upright. "No more delays. You have had ample time to rest."

Astrid rubbed her eyes, struggling to shake off sleep. Then a pause followed as she tilted her head, looking at the time on her nightstand, and then she glanced back at Maren.

"How...how are you even here? It’s not morning already."

Maren’s expression turned serious. "I have moved in and will be staying with you until you reach your weight goal."

Astrid’s eyes widened. "What? Why?"

Maren’s voice softened. "To ensure your success. We will tackle this journey together."

As Astrid slowly swung her legs over the side of the bed, Maren placed a scale for her to measure her weight.

"Stand on it," She told Astrid. She gently did what was asked, "331 pounds... we have a lot of work to do."

Maren then handed her a glass of water. "Drink up! We have a busy morning ahead."

Astrid sipped, still half-asleep. "This...this is crazy."

Maren smiled encouragingly. "Trust me, it will be worth it. Now, let’s get moving!"

Astrid yawned, stretching her arms. "Okay...but coffee...please?"

Maren laughed. "After our workout. Deal?"

Astrid nodded reluctantly, her sleepy gaze meeting Maren’s determined smile.

"Listen, Astrid, to achieve your weight goal, we need to start with small, sustainable changes. Your thyroid condition requires careful consideration."

Astrid nodded, still rubbing her eyes.

"First, we will focus on cardio exercises to boost your metabolism,"

Maren explained, handing Astrid a fitness tracker.

"Three times a week, we will do brisk walking, jogging, or swimming. Strength training will help build muscle."

Astrid yawned, taking the tracker.

"Next, nutrition. Whole foods, fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains will replace processed snacks," Maren said, guiding Astrid to the kitchen.

"Breakfast will be oatmeal or Greek yogurt with fruits. Lunch, grilled chicken salads, or quinoa bowls."

Astrid’s eyes widened as Maren outlined the meal plan. "But..." Maren stopped her almost immediately.

"Snacks will be fruits, nuts, and seeds. No sugary drinks or caffeine," Maren continued. "We’ll also incorporate yoga for flexibility and stress relief."

As Astrid sipped her water, Maren handed her a schedule.

"This is our daily routine. Exercise, meals, and rest. Stick to it, and we will track progress."

Astrid scanned the schedule, overwhelmed.

"Maren, this is...a lot," Astrid admitted, her voice laced with concern.

Maren’s expression softened. "I know. But I will be here every step. We will adjust as needed. Trust me, Astrid. You will thrive."

With Maren’s reassurance, Astrid felt a glimmer of hope.

"Let’s start," Astrid said, her voice firmer.

Maren clapped her hands, and the maids entered, carrying elegant bags and boxes.

"Julian thoughtfully provided everything you will need," she announced, her eyes sparkling.

"Great reason for having a rich husband," Maren started bringing a snort to her face.

Astrid’s curiosity piqued, she watched as the maids arranged the items on her bed.

The first bag revealed a sleek Nike Air Zoom Pegasus shoe in vibrant pink, perfectly matching her favorite color.

"Wow!" Astrid exclaimed.

Next, the maids unpacked a lavender Lululemon yoga mat, its soft texture inviting. Astrid’s eyes widened further as a rose gold Fitbit Inspire Hr emerged.

Maren smiled. "Julian wants you to track your progress."

The maids continued, unveiling resistance bands in various colors, a kettlebell set ranging from 2-5 kg, an adjustable jump rope, and an anti-burst exercise ball.

Astrid’s excitement grew. "This is incredible!" she let out checking them one by one so delighted.

The exercise outfits stunned her Lululemon Align Pants in black, gray, and navy, Nike Pro Sports Bras in white, pink, and purple, Adidas Superstar Shoes in white and black."

"Julian has impeccable taste," Marrn said, impressed. While she almost hurts out in tears at this, he had spent a lot on her and she can’t explain how she could pay him back.

She has been nothing but a destruction to his happy world but here he is treating and taking care of her like an important soul.

Astrid’s face glowed. "Thank you, Julian. This is overwhelming." Astrid let out even though Julian wasn’t there.

Maren hugged her. "Now, pick your outfit for today’s walk."

Astrid eagerly selected a Lululemon outfit and Nike shoes, beaming. "I feel like a new person!"

As they descended to the garden, where Maten had chosen for them to begin with the exercise.

Maren guided Astrid through the garden, demonstrating gentle stretches.

"Let’s begin with short walks, gradually increasing distance and intensity."

Astrid mimicked Maren’s movements, motivated by her encouraging smile. They started with warm-up stretches, followed by a leisurely 10-minute walk, gentle incline climbs, and short breaks for hydration and rest.

Meanwhile, Julian observed from afar, a subtle grin on his face.

He pondered how his dad got so interested in her that he wanted him to take care of her.

Until his thoughts were interrupted by his phone’s buzzing, he clicked on it to see a message from Ryan.

"Today’s meeting schedules..." Julian smiled, impressed. Despite his insistence on her hiatus, Astrid refused to lose control of her position.

He could say despite her not having much knowledge about being a secretary, she is doing her best to work well and efficiently.

At home, she would do every necessary thing along with arranging his meeting schedules.

He was pretty sure she didn’t get to sleep on time before Maren had gone to wake her up.

But he couldn’t stop Maren from doing so since it was good for her health, he was still smiling at her when a message popped on his phone.

As Astrid and Maren walked, Julian discreetly watched, his satisfaction growing. Maren monitored Astrid’s pace, offering support.

"You are doing wonderfully! Keep this rhythm." Astrid beamed, fueled by Maren’s encouragement.

Julian’s thoughts drifted to their future together, wondering if their relationship would thrive or dissipate when the time came. He didn’t know when he raised his phone and captured the moment between them.

Until a notification booze and his gaze squinted at the ID.

From his investigator, "Boss, I have tried to get more information from Astrid Danielbut sorry things are not adding up, it looks weird like her whole information is wiped off."

He stared at his phone confused at what he had sent, this was the first time his private investigator was finding it hard to get information on anything he asked.

"Meaning?" he sent but was not able to wait for him to respond and he dialed his contact, "Boss.." came in his investigator’s voice.

"Hit the nail," Julian said, not ready to beat around the bush, "it’s kind of a complicated boss... it seems as if someone has suddenly wiped off everything one can know about her out of the wild, her information is sealed... aside from her name nothing is added."

"What?"

"What about the incident that occurred in Paris, doesn’t that have to deal with this."

"Incident?"

"I sent it to you already," His eyes narrowed at this, "Excuse me?"

"I sent it just a few days after you had asked, and all of a sudden I noticed my contact got blocked until you texted me again," Julian was left in shock

He also recalled he hw he had noticed his details were blocked, his thoughts swirled around wondering who would block the contact.

"I will sort that out, resend the last event now."

"Yes boss," he responded, immediately footage was sent to him the moment he hung up.

He clucked on the footage and it was the moment when the men were trying to touch Astrid, his hand shook at this wondering where the heck it happened.

"The fuck! What is this?" He asked.

"Boss... the remaining footage has also been deleted this is the only one I could acquire,"

"Are you in your right mind! What the heck is getting the footage deleted? Tell me what you remember." Julian sent his hand trembling in anger.

"I could only recall a man taking her from the Eiffel Tower and when I traced the car, it landed in this building."

"Find me the information of that guy who had to touch her, every fucking detail before tonight, I don’t want to hear a fucking excuse," Julian sent his anger expressing itself as he stared at Astrid.

"What the fuck have you been passing through in my absence?" He couldn’t help but ask no one in particular as he watched her giggles with Maren.
