Accidental Marriage With Mr Billioniare
Chapter 81: FUN NIGHT

Chapter 81: FUN NIGHT

Astrid was left satisfied with the way he had called them off, he hardly cared about her or listened to whatever she said.

But for the first time, he believed whatever she said even though she was the cause of it.

She smiled at this, watching the guards dragged her out and she threw curses at her.

"Your stomach?" Julian asked and Astrid shook her head, "It’s fine." she answered and just then Miles came up to them.

"Welcome back Gorgeous," Miles greeted with a small smile and irritation appeared on Julian’s face.

"Why are you here?"

"Why is my sister’s face and hands blistered?" Julian rolled his eyes and helped Astrid into her room.

"You should go ask why and not me," Julian grumbled, helping Astrid to sit on the bed.

Astrid on the other hand was still in deep thought about how she would have her bath.

"Aren’t you supposed to be waiting downstairs why the heck are you spoiling it?" Julian asked Miles.

Astrid gaze squinted wondering what he was talking about but she decided not to butt in.

"Sorry but I must have also ruined the fun..." they all turned in the direction of the voice only to see Maren poking her head with the door opening slowly.

"How? What?"

"I followed Miles sorry... I should be able to help her," She interrupted Julian’s confused speech.

"Yes please," Astrid cut them both before they could say anything, "I will need your help..." Astrid added and Julian glanced at her.

"Are you chasing us?" Astrid nodded his head with a small smile and didn’t say anything.

"Fine!" both men grumbled and then left, leaving Maren in her room.

Maren stared at her room and admired the beauty of it, "it’s my first time in his mansion... And it is really beautiful like everyone says." Maren cooed.

"You are a rich lady, this shouldn’t be surprising to you," Astrid let out and Maren glanced down at her.

"I can tell you are getting used to your husband’s riches that it no longer surprises you anymore," Maren sat beside Astrid, pulling her hands gently.

Astrid looked down, "He might be my husband but I don’t own his heart," This is the first time she is letting that out.

She suddenly felt so comfortable with Maren, "So if I am right, it definitely means you love him," Astrid heaved a sigh.

"It’s just a year, Maren," she whispered.

"He might act like a douchebag sometimes but he is the first to act nice and take care of me," she looked up at Maren.

"You all are nice to me but my heart flutters anytime he shows a bit of kindness toward me,"

Maren’s eyes sparkled with excitement at her confession. "That means you like him!" She squealed, her voice echoing through the room.

Astrid winced, her movements cautious due to her recent surgery.

"You are close to Mattie, aren’t you supposed to be in support of her?" Maren asked concern etched on her face. "I... ruined one of your best model marriages and also your relationship with her."

Maren carefully helped Astrid sit up, offering support. "Let’s get you cleaned up, but gently, okay? We don’t want to strain your stitches."

Astrid nodded, grateful for Maren’s consideration.

As they entered the bathroom, Maren prepared a warm bath, careful not to make the water too deep.

"We can continue with our conversation here," Maren said, assisting Astrid into the bathtub.

Astrid leaned back, closing her eyes as Maren gently washed her, avoiding the surgical site.

"Relax," Maren whispered. Astrid’s tension eased.

Maren carefully washed Astrid’s hair, taking care not to tug on her scalp.

"You can still have him if you want," Maren said softly.

Astrid’s eyes fluttered open as they met Maren’s, in surprise and Maren smiled.

"Yeah, call it selfish... but don’t we need to do that to make ourselves happy?"

Astrid kept shut as Maren helped her clean up, "I heard they are on a break... why don’t you take chances now?"

"Maren.."

"I want Miles as I am doing my best to get him. One step to get closer to that is to make Julian fall for you." Astrid was still trying to understand her analogy when Maren eyed met with her.

"You might be oblivious, but Miles likes you and I like him... so to get him is to make you be with his best friend,"

"Wow!"

"Yeah, life works that way, cunningly going to him wouldn’t get me anyways," Astrid is flabbergasted by how blunt she is.

If one could tell her a few years back that the lady she admired most, would be here one day helping her clean up, and also advising her how to get someone she wanted she wouldn’t believe it.

"What can I do then?"

"First... let’s talk about you losing weight," Astrid shut her eyes at this, "I tried several times."

"Did you know you had thyroid?" Astrid shook her head hearing it for the first time.

"Then I can help you with the weight loss journey this time, " Maren leaned her head whispering behind her ears.

"You can be the next Mattie... with the help of taking care of your health." Astrid was in love with this idea.

If she can become someone powerful, she will be able to get payment for her mum’s treatment and live happily with her mum again.

Astrid eyes filled with gratitude shining in them."Thank you, Maren.."

Maren smiled. "That’s what friends are for," she replied.

Astrid still wasn’t to the friend thing so she didn’t say anything.

As she finished bathing, Maren carefully helped Astrid out of the bathtub and wrapped her in a warm towel.

"Feel better?" Maren asked concern etched on her face.

Astrid nodded, her smile weak but genuine.

"Let’s get you dressed," Maren said, guiding Astrid to the bedroom.

"Dress?"

"Yeah, you need to eat and you can’t be caught unfresh, one of the best ways to get the one you want." Astrid eyes flickered.

"I am going to be guiding you now.."

Maren added and moved to Astrid’s closet to find something for her to wear.

She chose a comfortable outfit, careful not to strain Astrid’s surgical site.

"This will do," she let out and went to lock the door behind her,

"Arms up, okay?" Maren instructed, slipping a soft blouse over Astrid’s head.

Astrid lifted her arms, without any complaint as she winced slightly.

"Sorry, is it hurting?" Maren asked.

Astrid shook her head. "Just a little sore." Maren nodded sympathetically. "Well then let’s take it easy."

Once Astrid was dressed, Maren nodded her head, "Let’s go,"

"What? I am too tired to walk, I want to sleep." Maren’s eyes widened at this.

"I know you are tired but you need to eat and take your medication, are you giving up so soon?" Astrid turned speechless at this.

"Fine, I will go with you," Astrid agreed, her voice barely above a whisper even though one could tell how exhausted she was.

Maren snapped her fingers, a bright smile spreading across her face.

"That’s the spirit!" she exclaimed, gently pulling Astrid along.

As they made their way out of the room, Astrid’s pace was slow and cautious, Her wound still hurt especially because she had hit it to make Mattie look like a bad one.

Just then, they met Julian and Miles coming their way, their faces lit up with excitement.

"Finally," they both let out in unison with relief.

Astrid’s smile grew, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

"Let’s go!" Julian announced, striding toward her with a warm smile. Maren stepped aside, allowing Julian to take Astrid’s arm.

"Careful, Julian," Maren warned, her eyes darting to Astrid’s surgical site.

Julian nodded, his grip gentle as he guided Astrid down the hallway.

Miles fell into step beside them, but then Maren moved closer to him, "Aren’t they beautiful?" she whispered and he nodded his head absentmindedly.

This brought a little hope to Maren, she wanted to grab his hand but didn’t want to get embarrassed.

As they approached the living room, Astrid noticed the space was a bit dark.

"What’s going on?" Astrid asked, her curiosity piqued. Julian’s smile grew wider. "Just wait."

The light turned on now revealing a sea of familiar faces. "SURPRISE!!" they all yelled in unison.

The Logan family and her family were all present. Astrid’s eyes widened as she took in the scene.

The room erupted in cheers and applause.

Astrid’s heart swelled with emotion, overwhelmed by the outpouring of love.

Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes as she scanned the room.

Her family, the Logans, were all smiling, their faces radiant with joy.

She could tell her family wasn’t that excited about the whole thing but needed to do it to lie to the Logans.

There were balloons, streamers, and a giant banner reading "Welcome Home, Astrid."

Astrid felt like she was drowning in happiness. It’s the first time anyone has ever done this for her.

Julian guided her to the couch, helping her sit amidst the chaos so as not to stress her.

Maren settled beside her, handing her a cup of hot tea."Drink this, it’s my favorite, and it helps a lot." Maren whispered.

Astrid took a sip, her eyes never leaving them.

"We miss you so much!" Nadine cooed as she came with a cake in her hands with a candlelight. Astrid breathed, understanding her tone.

"Thank you so much," Astrid replied, blowing off the candlelight, as the family clapped excitedly.

Then Becky ran over to her, pulling Astrid into a warm embrace"I apologize for what a douchebag my son is."

"Enjoying the fun without me?" They all heard a familiar voice and when they turned to that direction they found Tonia glaring at them with rage and having two cops behind her.
