Julian and his parents along with Astrod’s family all sat in front of the operation room still waiting for Astrid to be out of the room.

More than 10 hours had passed still there was nothing from the doctor. There were doctors only running in and out without giving a specific answer about how the surgery was going.

Josh can’t help but get worried about something happening to Astrid. He knew if anything went wrong with her he might lose his collaboration with the Logans.

Having Logan as one of their investors is a very strong investment and backup. It will also bring other powerful companies to join them.

If it wasn’t for the Logans who had called them, he wouldn’t care a bit about his daughter, all he wanted was her money.

Miles has also refused to speak with Julian ever since the incident occurred. No matter how hard Julian tried explaining to him he paid deaf ears.

"Babe?" Mattie called and when they all looked up they saw Mattie limping toward them with the help of Stephen since her right leg was bandaged with a cast.

"Oh dear... what is wrong with you?" Becky asked, looking worried and Nadine was more than excited to see one of her favorite models in front of her again.

"That sly bitch pushed me from the staircase," she answered and then Tonia stormed inside toward them along with her husband.

Desmond was surprised to see them also in the hospital, "Wow... I never expected the whole family to be here for that good-for-nothing girl," Tonia announced.

Desmond smirked at this, his hands still in his pocket as he glanced at Tonia.

"The same girl you are talking about is one of the Logans, a wife to my son," Mattie gulped down nervously. She wasn’t here to cause a fight between the family but they see it’s a bad idea to help Astrid.

"Uncle..." She called with a sad look as she limped toward Desmond.

"She pushed me from the staircase, see... this is what has caused me, despite being a model."

Nadine rushed towards her, "I am so sorry for what my sister had done, we apologize." she lowered her head and Mattie rolled her eyes.

"Sorry? I am losing money because of this injury, and the only shit I heard is sorry" she yelled, and Nadine shifted back in shock.

She had always shown the smiling and playful side of her. Everyone takes her for the type of quiet character, seeing this character from her made her speechless.

Miles stepped forward and Julian knew he might do something crazy so he also did the same.

"Let’s talk Mattie," Nulian announced and Mattie smirked at this, "You want us to talk? You left me in the hospital when I was supposed to be tr..."

"Shut the fuck up! And come with me!" Julian yelling at her came as a surprise to them aside from the Daniels.

Mattie without another word shut up and Julian moved about to leave but Miles stopped him.

"Stick with her and I will take Asteroid to be..." a punch landed on his face before he could complete his statement.

Julian moved closer to him, "Call her yours again and that would be the last time of our friendship,"

Miles stared at him speechless, he dared not say a word anymore. Julian displaying this action meant he cared so much for Astrid.

While Stephan on the other can’t help but be a bit jealous at how crazy Mattie is for Juliwn who doesn’t love her.

"Get the fuck outta my face!" he let out and Mattie who stood behind could not speak or move for a second until Julian reminded her to follow him.

Julian scanned the hospital corridor, ensuring they were alone. He guided Mattie into an empty hospital room, shutting the door behind them.

"So, your right leg is the one hurting?" Julian asked, his eyes narrowing slightly.

Mattie’s expression turned puzzled. "Yeah..."

"You complained about your left leg when you fell down the stairs," Julian pointed out, his voice laced with skepticism.

Mattie’s eyes flickered, and she shook her head hastily. "Of course not... The place I complained about was my..."

Julian moved closer, his sudden proximity making Mattie’s eyes widen in surprise. His chiseled features seemed to mesmerize her.

"You have gotten a new phone," Julian whispered, his breath caressing her ear as he collected the device from her hand.

"That isn’t mine..." Mattie protested, but Julian shifted back, holding the phone out of her reach.

His eyes sparkled with amusement. "I am your man, why hide this from me?"

Mattie’s lips pressed together, refusing to respond.

Julian’s smile broadened as he scrolled through the phone, after some minutes of fighting for the phone with her. "I can see you can walk now," he said, now handing the device back to her.

Mattie’s eyes widened, her face flushing. She hastily regained her composure. "Aww, I so badly wanted to take the phone, I forgot my leg was hurting."

Julian chuckled, his eyes crinkling. "Fine, I don’t understand why you hid that phone, but I know you’re not injured."

Mattie’s expression turned defensive. "Why? I am serious—"

"I heard you talking to the doctor Stephan," Julian announced, his voice firm.

Mattie’s lips snapped shut, her eyes darting away.

Julian’s gaze lingered on Mattie, his thoughts hidden behind a mask of calm. He knew she was hiding something.

This made Julian furious, how would he live with guilt that he had left an injured person who needed the hospital immediately and saved her,

"Are you crazy?" Julian’s tone increased making her taken aback.

"How could you push her from that high staircase knowing how dangerous it would be?"

"What!? I didn’t she did.."

"Yet she is lying in the surgery room," Julian interrupted, ready to blow off.

"Babe, don’t you believe me? Didn’t.."

"How do you expect me to believe you when you have done two crazy things in a row?" he cut her off.

She was getting nervous, Julian hated it when someone lied to him.

"Stop it okay? You know very well I support you in every damn crazy thing you do still you aren’t changing."

"I said stay back!" he yelled and Nattie was almost in tears. "If you had told me you mistakenly pushed her I would understand."

Pacing around in desperation as he proceeded. "But no, you pushed her and even lied about her pushing you, blocking her from getting the opportunity of being taken to the hospital on time."

"Babe, I am sorry I was just mad you are getting closer to her, you know how much I love you.."

"I don’t Mattie, I think you hate me because!" Mattie’s eyes flashed and one could see the nervousness.

"If you love me you would understand and..." he sighed deeply and exhaled sharply as his hands ran through his hair.
