Accidental Marriage With Mr Billioniare
Chapter 62: THREE WISHES

Chapter 62: THREE WISHES

Miles and Julian stood frozen, astonished by Astrid’s sudden outburst.

"Stay away! I am no longer interested in your stupid job!" Astrid yelled, her voice trembling with rage.

She forcefully pushed them out of her room, slamming the door shut behind them.

Julian remained speechless, his eyes fixed on the closed door, while Miles turned to Julian, expecting to see anger, but instead found a smirk spreading across his face.

"You are not mad she slapped you?" Miles asked, not believing the situation.

Julian’s smirk deepened. "It’s surprising." Miles shook his head, still stunned. "Yeah, really surprising."

Miles sighed, glancing toward Astrid’s door. "She needs comfort, but she doesn’t have anyone to give it to her, since her husband is a douchebag."

Julian’s gaze snapped to Miles, his expression intense.

"You can leave. I will take care of her," Julian said, and then Miles patted Julian’s shoulder before walking away.

Julian’s eyes lingered on Miles’ retreating before turning to Astrid’s door.

He knocked softly, his eyes shut, hesitating.

"Astrid?" he called out, his voice low and gentle.

The silence was deafening.

He knocked again, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Leave me alone!" Astrid’s voice came from the room, "I can still have access to your room." Julian let out so coolly.

Astrid on the other hand is not just angry but only terrified at how Julian would react after she had slapped him.

Hearing him say he knew she wasn’t at fault but still blaming her had made her lose it, "Just leave Julian.."

Julian took in a deep breath as he forced his eyes shut, "Fine.. what can I do to make you forgive me?"

Astrid was shocked to hear him say, "What?"

"You only have tonight, so use it wisely," he stated, and then a small smile played on her face.

She pushed the door open staring at Julian who just stood there having a tired expression.

"Really?" Julian’s eyes flickered severally, at the way her eyes suddenly lit up.

"Three wishes.." he let out and she smirked, "Cook for me I am hungry."

Julian’s eyes widened at this, "Cook? By this time of the night?" He asked, shocked.

"Then leave... don’t stress me.." the smile on Astrid’s face disappeared and he took in a deep breath.

"Fine," he growled and a smile appeared on Astrid’s face."Really?" She asked again and he nodded his head.

"You can cook?" Julian raised his eyebrow at her question, "It’s a normal question, rich people are raised spoiled, and to top it all you are a guy."

"How about I show you my techniques tonight?" Astrid eyes lit up again, she moved closer to him wrapping her hands around that of his.

She had done it already before she could recall she was so close to him.

"Oh... so.. sorry." She let go of his hands and he just rolled his eyes.

"You only have three wishes and can only use it up tonight.."

"No.." Astrid replied as she glanced up at him.

"I will use it whenever I can," she stated firmly wrapping her hands around her chest.

"Fine!" He let out a rasp of air and strolled down the living room, he glanced at her seeing she still clutched onto her jacket as she tagged along.

Julian’s gaze lingered on Astrid’s frail form, her shoulders shivering beneath her thin blouse.

"She must be cold," he thought, his heart stirring with concern.

He moved closer, pulling off his jacket to cover her, Astrid’s hands wrapped around the jacket and smiled.

Her eyes lifted, her gaze meeting Julian’s through the lenses of her glasses.

Those eyes, so familiar, Julian thought, His pulse quickened, his chest tightening.

"Thank you," Astrid whispered, her voice barely audible.

As she turned to leave, Julian’s hand instinctively reached out, hesitant to release the connection.

"What the fuck is wrong with you, man?" he muttered to himself, shaken by this action.

Then his smile dissipated, "This is still red," he let out touching her face.

"Come..," he said as he pulled her along.

"Sir..." one of the maids began seeing him walk into the kitchen.

"I want to make soup for my wife," Julian announced, his tone resolute.

Astrid’s eyes widened, her lips curling into a playful smile.

"I want real food, not soup," she corrected, her voice laced with amusement.

The maid’s eyes darted between Julian and Astrid, still confused.

"Let me handle this," he said, his eyes locked on Astrid’s.

"You should leave.." The maid without another word ran out of the kitchen leaving Astrid and Julian.

Then Julian went to the fridge, and brought out some ice packs, he strolled back to Astrid, featuring for her to sit.

Then he slid her hair back, his heart hurt seeing how red her face was.

"You stand up to me, why don’t you do that for Mattie," she scoffed, snatching the ice packs.

"And then you get mad at me... never happening," Julian shook his head without a word.

"What would you like to eat for dinner? My lady?" Astrid felt her cheek flush at this.

"My lady?" She asked and he snickered, "Just for tonight." He responded.

"Anything as long as it makes me full," Julian nodded his head and got to business as Astrid sat back.

Julian moved gracefully through the kitchen, his movements fluid as he expertly prepared a dinner for Astrid.

Soft sound came from him mingling with the enticing aromas of roasted vegetables and sizzling meat.

He expertly flipped the steak, the sizzle and crackle filling the air.

Astrid’s gaze followed his movements, her heart fluttering as she kept rubbing the ice pack on her face.

She watched him cook without any grumble and anger surrounding his face.

"You are quite the chef." she let out, still surprised he could cook.

Julian chuckled. "I have my secrets." he let out as he proceeded after a few minutes he was done cooking.

He served the dishes, and Astrid’s anticipation grew seeing how mouth-watering they were.

She has been skipping meals because of Mattie and she was sure Julian wouldn’t do anything crazy to her.

Julian presented the meal with a smile, placing the plate in front of her. "Dinner is served, my lady."

"Eat," Julian whispered, his voice low and husky, as he took his seat beside her.

Astrid’s hands trembled slightly as she dropped the ice pack and picked up her fork, her eyes locked on Julian’s.

"You sure this I am going to be.." Julian rolled his eyes at her.

"You are the first person I cooked for aside from my parents, it’s okay if you don’t enjoy it."

Astrid smiled at this, she felt honored by this, even if it wasn’t delicious she wasn’t going to say so.

She took the first bite and it melted in her mouth, flavors exploding on her palate.

"Wow," she breathed. "This is incredible." she let out now stumping goods into her mouth enjoying and savoring her meal.

Julian smiled, his eyes never leaving hers. "Glad you approve," he whispered, watching her eat like there was no tomorrow.

Weirdly he enjoys the view before him, she hardly smiles at him but at others. Seeing her doing this to him made his heart flutter.

When she was done eating she drank the juice he had placed by her side.

Knowing she was a lover of fruit juice, he had ordered a pack into the fridge without her notice.

"Thanks a lot for the food," she let out happily, then Julian stood from his seat moving closer to her.

Her eyes widened gazing at him, "What are you..." she stopped talking when he wiped off her lips.

"Glad you are no longer mad at me and would also continue your job," Astrid smiled at him.

"Yes, I would.." she let out almost immediately, she picked up the plate and Julian shook his head. I would do that.

"No... you already cooked, this is the least I can do," Astrid replied, as she walked toward the sink.

Julian’s gaze followed her, his hand rising to his chest as if to calm the rhythm of his heart.

He stared at her as she did the dishes, he couldn’t resist anymore.

With a few strides, Julian closed the distance between them.

Astrid’s hands, still in soapy water, Julian pulled her roughly and a gasp escaped her lips as he pulled her close.

"Ju..." Astrid’s words were cut short.

Julian’s lips claimed hers, his mouth moving with tender urgency.
