Accidental Marriage With Mr Billioniare -
Chapter 43: WARNING
Chapter 43: WARNING
It’s been two weeks since they were back from Paris and Astrid has become a shadow of herself in her room.
Julian has been going off to his duties, been too busy to even ask about her. More like he has been doing this out of guilt for what he had done to Mattie.
Astrid has no right in his life, he keeps telling himself.
She still can’t help to get her mind off when they both argue and Julain shouts her a warning never to leave the mansion, or he will give her a reason for regret.
She has nothing to do, just waking up and sleeping, she isn’t also forgetting how she is being treated by the maid here because they feel Mattie wasn’t married to their boss because of her.
She also can’t go through her newsfeed because it’s all about everyone talking about how she had brought up the broken relationship between Julian and Mattie.
Mattie also went live and talked about her bond with Julain not being that strong anymore because Astrid was the cause of it.
Everyone sympathizes with Mattie, while Astrid is only becoming a shadow of herself.
She was always in her room, and on the bed, the little glow she had in her eyes was gone, it was more like she was lost and she couldn’t help but miss her mum.
Still, deep in her thought, a knock came in, but she was too tired to even give a response. She lay right there without giving a response.
After a while, it stopped and then it continued again, but she wasn’t in the mood to respond. She is not regarded as a human in this house anyway
After a few more minutes, the door was pushed open, and Julian was standing by the door looking worried.
Despite the way the door was pushed open Astrid didn’t bother looking to see who walked inside.
"What the fuck? I was worried!" He exclaimed while Astrid still didn’t look his way.
He strutted toward her and gestured for the maids to drop the box they held on the bed and left.
He sat beside her, "Astrid?" he called, but there was no repose.
He touched her neck to feel her temperature and it was doing great. This got him irritated as he pulled her up.
"Hey! Don’t get me scared that way ever again!" only then did Astrid glance his way.
"I want it to be up to a year already," she whispered.
Julain was mad at this, he couldn’t point out the reason but he didn’t like her choice of words.
"If you had never wanted to be tied up you should have checked who you were getting married to?"
Now he thought about it and he still knew nothing about the one she was supposed to marry instead of him.
Only then did he recall he hadn’t reached out to his investigator for weeks now.
"My mum is around, you wouldn’t want to get me to get me embarrassed," she scoffed.
"I wouldn’t dare do that... seeing how crazy you can be," It’s been a while since he heard her voice, and those eyes captured his gaze again.
He had purposely stayed away from her in the pretense of working until his mum announced her sudden arrival.
Julian pulled her roughly toward him, and she lowered her head this time.
"You don’t talk to me that way," she tried pulling her hands from his grasp but his hold was strong.
This time he slammed his lips on her neck, "Let me go!" she mumbled but he was too intoxicated by her scent.
One thing he noticed about her is how freaking neat she could be. She doesn’t get caught unaware when it comes to her being neat.
It still makes him wonder what had made her freaking dirty the day he went to pick her up from her house.
Not until they felt a presence by the door did Julian let go of Astrid almost immediately.
"Sorry I had barged in on you guys just wanted to talk to her," Becky announced, staring at Astrid.
"Remember... don’t you dare say thrash in front of my mum," he murmured, and Astrid stood from the bed.
"Good day ma’am it’s nice seeing you again," Becky snickered at this. She is excited about the little improvement that she has just seen.
Becky pulls her closer with both arms, now engulfing her in a bone-crushing embrace.
Astrid felt like crying on Becky’s shoulder but dared not to break her promise to Julian.
They disengage from the embrace after some minutes and then Becky, so excited, announces the unthinkable.
"Julian... are you free?" he quickly shook his head and shrugged at this.
"I can just go shopping with my daughter-in-law if you can’t, I have always wanted a female child." Julian couldn’t help but stare at his mum crazily.
"Still you had refused to be nice to Mattie," The smile on Beck’s face disappeared at the mention of her.
"Please stop mentioning her name before I lose it." Julian scoffed at this and Astrid swallowed hard.
"I can call Miles to accompany us if you won’t.." Julian squinted his gaze, already irritated at the decision.
"Fine... I will join you." he let out and she smiled, "I thought as much."
"I will be waiting in the living room... don’t stay long," she announced and he shrugged his shoulders.
As she left Julian pulled her again roughly against the door, "You did a great job pretending, at least I can tell you are not real."
Astrid rolled her eyes, not in the mood to explain or argue with him.
"I need to dress up, you don’t want her meeting us in that position do you?" Julain felt bad about this and let her go.
This wasn’t the look she gave him, he could tell those gazes were the gaze of her not interested in whatever thing he did.
"You can dress up... don’t stay long." she opened the door gesturing for him to leave.
He wanted to say more but gaze told him she was tired and he had no choice but to walk out.
