Chapter 42: STOPPING HER
Chapter 42: STOPPING HER
Mattie knows one thing Julian hated was watching someone manhandle someone has a connection with.
Her heart paced around not knowing what else to do, she couldn’t let him see this.
Thank goodness he hardly locks his phone, he is someone powerful and no one can get hold of his phone so he doesn’t care about having a password.
She kept hoping he wouldn’t walk out of the bathroom, on time, as she deleted the pictures that could implicate her.
Just in time, another message came in from the investigator, this time it was a video, and she clicked on the videos sent.
She was stunned to see the video of Astrid being tortured in the middle of the premises before being dragged into the house.
"Boss... I will try to understand videos of what happened inside. but for now, these are the ones I can send." She was shocked.
"How was his investigator so good?" she thought to herself.
She noticed the shower had turned off, and she instantly deleted the chat, collected his number, and blocked out his contact from Julian’s contact list.
She dropped the phone on the bed and stood in a way Julian wouldn’t be suspicious of her.
Julian stepped out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist, his expression unreadable as he stared at Mattie.
Mattie stood in the center of the room, her eyes fixed on him with an unsettling stare wondering if he saw her.
Julian quietly cleaned off his hair, as he stood before the bathroom door.
Then Mattie sauntered towards him, her hips swaying seductively, her lips curled into a sly smile.
Julian’s gaze met hers but didn’t waver, his eyes cold and detached.
"Julian," Mattie purred, her voice patchy. He didn’t respond, but just shot her a weird stare.
Mattie reached out, tracing the edge of his jaw with her fingers. Julian’s eyes narrowed, but he didn’t pull away.
"You are hot," Mattie whispered, her breath dancing across his skin.
Julian’s expression remained impassive. "It’s been a while since I have seen you this way," she muttered.
Mattie’s hands slid down his chest, her fingers teasing the edge of the towel. Julian’s eyes flashed with a warning, but Mattie ignored it as he grabbed her hands stopping her.
"Hey... nothing stopping me tonight," Mattie mumbled, her eyes locked on Julian’s as she yanked her hands off his grip.
She leaned in, her lips brushing against his. Julian’s hesitation melted away, and he reciprocated the kiss, his mouth moving in sync with hers.
Mattie deepened the kiss, her tongue probing his lips. Julian’s response was measured, his passion simmering beneath the surface.
As they kissed, Mattie’s hands roamed his back, tracing the muscles beneath his skin. Julian’s arms wrapped around her, pulling her closer.
Mattie broke the kiss, gasping for air. Julian’s eyes met hers, his gaze still cold, but his eyes betrayed a flicker of interest.
"Mattie," he said, his voice low and hoarse.
Mattie smiled, her eyes sparkling. "You can’t resist me, Julian."
Julian’s jaw clenched, but he didn’t deny it.
Mattie’s lips traced his jawline, and Julian’s head tilted, allowing her access. But a crazy thought kept popping into his head, that feeling wasn’t there anymore.
"Mattie, stop," Julian whispered, his voice laced with a hint of desire. She pulled back, her chest heaving. "You don’t mean that."
Julian’s eyes narrowed. "Let’s stop," he announced, trying to push her away. He couldn’t help but wonder why he just couldn’t have had a great night with Mattie ever since he kissed Astrid.
Mattie’s smile returned, her eyes glinting with triumph. "But you do want me ."The silence between them was heavy with tension.
Julian’s gaze roamed her face, his expression softening. Mattie reached out, tracing the edge of his towel. Julian’s eyes flashed with a warning, but he didn’t stop her.
"This isn’t over, Julian, you are mine forever" she whispered, her breath dancing across his skin.
Julian’s expression remained fuzzy, "Just stop, I am not in the mood.." he let out now, snatching her hands off as he strutted to his closet to bring out a shirt and put it on.
"Babe?" Mattie called out shocked, Julian could tell how annoyed, and shocked he was.
"I told you, I don’t feel like..."
"Is this about Astrid?" she asked and noticed the way his eye flicked in concern.
She had never seen him act this way around her. She could tell the Julain she was staring at now was nothing compared to the Julian she knew.
"It’s not about her, but me okay, you shouldn’t blame her," Mattie scoffed, nodding her head.
"I get it... you got married to her and now is beginning to catch feelings,"
"Ma.." she snatched her hands off, stopping him from touching her.
"I must look like a fool to you," she stepped back, "Have a nice night." She picked up her bag and walked off.
As Mattie walked away, Julian watched her, his mind reeling in confusion.
Frustrations set in and he couldn’t tell her to stop, he just wanted the whole room to himself so he could think deeply.
"Take her home," he sent to his chauffeur, tossing his phone to the bed as his hands ran through his hair in frustration.
She got into the car, not asking questions. The chauffeur took her to her condo.
She felt like crying, ripping her head off in frustration, he would be running after her. She thought she had wrapped around her finger, her hand circled the necklace on her neck.
"Never... he is mine, he has been mine for ten years and will continue to be." she thought.
She alighted from the car and walked into her apartment, she could tell someone was inside and she needed no one to tell who it would be, she had texted him to come as she left Julian’s room.
She walked right into Stephan, "How could you not be eloquent with your thrash?"
"Good evening to you too," Stephan retorted still having a smile on his face.
"I am talking.." he pulled her into for kiss stopping her from talking then disengaged
"You are having his smell all over you," she rolled her eyes walking to her bar she picked a wine but Stephan retrieved it from her.
"Are you allowing her to make you worry?" Mattie was frustrated and did not know the response to give.
"He... stopped... he doesn’t want me. I could see the look of disgust in his eyes when he touched me."
Stephan felt a deep pierce in his heart, but dare not say a word.
"Give him some time, he will come around soon," he whispered, his eyes filled with lust.
"Stephan..." she grumbled, as his hands slid behind her.
"Then I will make your night wonderful." he let out before she could say more.
Pushing her against the wall, she kissed her roughly for the next few minutes as the room filled with a loud moan.
