Accidental Marriage With Mr Billioniare -
Chapter 39: THE DANIEL’s FAMILY
Chapter 39: THE DANIEL’s FAMILY
The Daniel family all stood from their kneeling position, sprinting toward Julian.
"My boy! Thanks.." Josh appreciated trying to pat his shoulder but Julian shifted back making his words cut short.
"My wife might not have told you since the distance of the connection, but..." His eyes moved from that of Astrid to her father.
Astrid on the other hand blushed crazily at the way he had called her his wife.
"One thing I hate the most is when you touch me," Julian added and Josh immediately stepped back, his hands raised.
"I am sorry Mr. Logan!" One thing Josh knew since he had been in the world of riches is never to get any one of the Logan furious else the life of the culprit would be a living hell.
Astrid moved toward her father, "I want to speak with you." she let out and Josh gave the killer eyes.
"But... Mr.." Josh glanced up at Julian, "He is here, wouldn’t you find that disrespecting?"
"You can have your conversation with her, I would wait," Julian announced and Josh nodded his head.
He doesn’t want to speak with Astrid, all he cares about is the way to be closer to Julian.
Josh raised his eyebrow, trying to turn Astrid down but she insisted on avoiding his gaze.
Since Josh couldn’t give Julian a chance to know that he was treating Astrid wrongly, he finally accepted.
"Let go," he announced and they left, leaving Julian with Leila and Nadine.
"Sir... you should have you sit." Leila let out most calmly and respectfully.
Though the jealousy was there, seeing Astrid landing this kind of expensive man makes her mad.
Julian glanced at them both and without another word he found his way to their couch.
"Well would you like to have your dinner with us," Julian checked his phone for time only to find out he wasted his whole day again rescheduling all his meetings.
He had gotten worried since Astrid left for a long so he needed to find her. He still couldn’t help but be grateful for coming here on time.
"Dinner?" he played on his lip then recalling Astrid hadn’t eaten he thought of waiting.
She must have missed her family to be here just on the first day they had arrived so he decided it should be best to stay back."
"Yeah, you can." Leila’s eyes lit up and she found her way down to the kitchen.
But Nadine didn’t, she is so envious of her sister for getting Julian.
Gently she strides towards him, her hands behind her, and smiles seductively.
"So..." she whispered trying to make her dress revealing.
"How has life been with my sister?" Julian looked up from his phone to be met with shock seeing the way she was so close to her.
"Get away from me," these words made the little smile finding itself up to her face disappear.
"Sir... Jul..."
"Your sister, who is my wife, hasn’t crossed this limit yet, so be careful." The cold gaze he shot at her made her feel a shiver creep down her spine.
"Sir Logan... she... you should please forgive her action," Leila came forward pulling her away from him.
She glared at her and Nadie recoiled at this reaction, how could she believe she could get him that easily?
On the other hand, Astrid stopped on her track when she knew Julian couldn’t hear her argument with her father.
"Where is mum?" she asked and Josh squinted his eyes like he didn’t understand what she was saying.
"I asked a fucking question!" She exclaimed again.
Josh smirked at this, "I should be the one mad at you, you have this whole amount and you didn’t recall having a family who is suffering in debt!"
"Where is my mum? The reason I need to get married to the one you arranged for me was because of this... provide me mum now!"’
"Don’t you dare yell at me!" He growled and smacked her across her face.
Astrid shifted back in shock, "You are married and have the name of Logan because of me!"
"He paid a huge amount! Already isn’t that the reason you wanted me to get married?" She fired back.
"So, can you tell me Who said that?"
"Dad!" She called in shock.
"Do you know what the fuck I am going through because I destroyed a marriage?" She clamored.
"Common dear..." Leila strutted inside with her daughter, "It’s clear what you are going through."
Astrid glanced her way, "He paid a huge amount of money just because you are his wife, not only that but had come here to visit." The jealousy was clear in her tone.
"You have a whole new credit card in your purse. So tell me what you are going through if he isn’t spoiling you."
Astrid’s frustration boiled over as she cried out, "This wasn’t the plan..." Her voice trembled with desperation, her eyes welling up with tears. She just wanted to see her mum, but everything was falling apart.
Josh’s expression twisted in a sneer. "If you want to see your mum, then help your father’s company," he said, his words dripping with malice.
Astrid’s anger flared, her face reddening. "That isn’t my fault!" she yelled back, her voice echoing through the room.
"He’s never acted like a father to me! You’re all monsters!" Her anger brewing in furry, she felt like she was going to lose it.
Josh’s hand flew across her face, leaving a stinging feeling. Astrid stared at him in shock, her hands placed on her cheek.
"If you want your mother to live, do what you have to do to get me close to the Logans," he snarled, his eyes cold and calculating.
Astrid’s lips trembled with rage. "And if I don’t?" she spat.
Josh taunted, "You will revive your mother’s lifeless body. Remember, she needs surgery." Astrid gulped, her heart racing with fear.
She bit her lips in anger, storming out of the room as her family tagged along.
In the living room, Julian sat on the couch, scrolling through his phone.
Astrid approached him, her eyes flashing with determination. "Let’s leave," she told him, her voice firm.
Julian looked up, concern etched on his face. "We can’t leave... they’re preparing dinner," he said, his voice gentle.
Astrid hadn’t eaten since last night, and he was getting worried.
Astrid’s jaw set in defiance. "I am not interested in eating... if you won’t leave, I will drive myself home." Her eyes dared Julian to disagree.
Julian’s eyes widened in surprise. "What?" he asked, his voice laced with concern.
Astrid glanced back, seeing Josh approaching. She knew her father could be ruthless when it came to money and power.
Julian had already spent a huge amount of money because of her, she couldn’t leave him here.
Astrid pulled Julian’s hand, her grip tight. "Woah..." he groaned, but she didn’t stop and just pulled him out of the mansion before her family could stop them.
