Chapter 31: LEAVING WITH HER

Julian’s car drives at high speed through the road as he finds his way down to his mansion.

He had just gotten a call from Stephan telling him Mattie was crying bitterly pleading for him to come over.

He kept dialing her contact but it still wasn’t reachable, he was so terrified, finally, he drove into his villa.

Without parking the car right his leg was sprinting inside his mansion.

"Julian... what is wrong?" Sophie asked in surprise and he explained to her how Stephan had called him.

"Where is she?" he asked and she pointed upstairs even though she still couldn’t deduce her reason for calling him.

Julian heading upstairs, pushed the door open only to meet Mattie packing up her bag in tears.

He sprinted toward her pulling her in for an embrace. Mattie’s hands wrapped around Julian burying her head into his chest.

It’s been a while since he had done this to her, all he cared about these days was nothing but Astrid.

"Why?" he couldn’t complete his sentence before she burst into loud tears.

"Hey... talk to me.." his voice is so calm and gentle as he soothes her.

"My career..." she trailed.

"What happened?" he asked not understanding what she was trying to say.

She disengaged from his embrace and went back to her luggage, "Never mind.." she whispered again as she began packing up.

This got Julian irritated as he pulled her toward him roughly.

"Look at me... tell me what the fuck is wrong, you know I would fix it for you," he tried convincing her.

"Really? You would?" Julian nodded his head in anticipation and she slapped his hands off.

"You are the cause of it! Spending time with her alone and making a mockery of me to the whole world!" Julian was astounded by her outburst.

"But.."

"I am tired okay, pictures of you spotted in Effiel tower on all of my for you page, oh please... I didn’t miss the little glances you shot at her."

"Was that the reason for your tears?" she let out a bitter smile."I know you wouldn’t care.."

She fired back and then pulled out her phone. "What is this?" He retrieved her phone from her hands now staring at it with surprise laced on his face.

All over the news feed was the picture All her labels posted her pictures and had a red cross on her face.

"Does this mean the end of the era of the little fairy!"

"Guess she has finally been overthrown,"

"The one who had made her where she is today is spotted with his wife having a nice time despite the rumor."

"Does this mean their love season ended already" he kept scrolling through and felt annoyed.

One thing is getting Astrid face plastered all over their walls, another is disrupting Mattie’s image.

"I will sort this out.."

"It affected my mum," she announced again, "She is rushed to the hospital because of this, Julian."

Julian’s hands stroke around his hair frustrated, "I promise I will.."

She slapped his hands off, "I am leaving... spend your lovely time with her, I need to be with my mum."

"Are you crazy? The press will be out of the building in seconds. How are you getting into the airplane?"

"I don’t care Julian!" she yelled making him let go of her hands.

"Not like you care about me, so allow my face to be my reality." she was done packing this time zipping up her bag

He pulled out his phone and tapped on it, then placed it on his ear.

"Boss.."

"Delete every single article released online related to Mattie."

"Consider it done.." the response came in instantly and then he glanced at her.

"Mattie?" she asked with raised eyebrows making Julian confused.

"What?"

"You call me babe.." he shut his eyes already frustrated.

"This isn’t the time we should think about all that, what matters now is the way we need to handle this situation."

She rolled her eyes, "Every single action matters from you, in a situation I am being competed with that fat so brat, who is nothing beside me."

She dropped her bag pulling him close, "I have been with you for almost ten years and just a mistake ruined our big day.

"Ma... Babe.." He corrected himself immediately, but she snickered sadly at this.

"From one problem to another, I am sick and tired." picking up her bag she shot him a sad gaze.

"I guess I need to save my career before getting it more destroyed."

She walked off before he could stop her, and then Julian rushed to the door, shutting it, stopping her.

Julian sprinted after her and pulled roughly towards him, her body spinning to face the door.

His hands grasped her arms, pinning her against the cool wood. Her eyes flashed with anger, but he didn’t give her a chance to react.

His lips crashed onto hers, the kiss rough and passionate. He claimed her mouth, his tongue teasing hers, sending shivers down her spine.

She felt her body respond, her heart racing with excitement. The anger and frustration melted away, replaced by a sense of longing.

As he deepened the kiss, she felt her defenses crumble. She wrapped her arms around him, pulling him closer, wanting more.

She loved it when he kissed her like this, with a fierce and all-consuming passion. It made her feel alive, like she was the only thing that mattered to him.

As they broke apart for air, she gazed up at him, her eyes shining with desire. He smiled, his eyes burning with intensity, and she knew she was his, completely and utterly.

The way she would always melt at his touch, he let go now staring into her soul.

"I love you..." he whispered, "What more do you want from me?"

"Follow me down to see my mum and explain things to her, I can’t afford to get her out of the world early."

"Yes, if that’s what you want I would do it for you." a big smile played on his face.

"Let’s wait for Astr.." before he could complete his sentence she raised her hands about to smack him but he caught it mid-air.

"Hey! I dislike that!" he warned. She tightened her fist irritated at the whole thing.

"Get the fuck out of my sight!" she yelled, pushing him away and walking out of the room with her luggage.

"Fuck!" he groaned this is the kind of time Astrid should have been with her phone.

"Then she called Stephan, "Dude," came in his cheerful voice.

"I left Astrid in the Eiffel Tower, help me get her from there, and also.." he pauses before proceeding.

"Let’s meet in the States... I need to leave with Mattie."
