Accidental Marriage With Mr Billioniare
Chapter 302: HAPPY MOMENT

Chapter 302: HAPPY MOMENT

Astrid and Maren sat in the living room, Astrid’s TV displaying as Mattie sat in the courtroom.

Astrid had made sure to invite the press in there to put her through the last and final pain she would put her through.

"And in a shocking conclusion to the highly publicized trial of Mattie Adam’s... she has been found guilty on all counts of attempted murder, conspiracy, and assault." There was a long pause in the courtroom as the camera focused on Mattie’s face, having that fear written on her.

"So I thereby sentenced her to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole and hard labor."

Astrid clapped her hands excitedly, relief washed over her as she watched how Mattie cried out in an ugly way.

"I won!" Astrid yelled out in excitement and threw a cookie into her mouth, savoring the sweetness.

"Yup... but how... was the report ruled out, I am pretty sure that they would find out that she is currently sick... has contracted some virus and to top it all... pregnant."

"Well... my husband is someone you never want to mess with so..." Astrid leaned closer to Maren.

"When he asked me what I wanted, I told him to keep the cop’s lips shut,"

Maren grinned from ear to ear, "Yo! That is a great idea!"

"I’m so glad it’s over," Astrid said, a small smile appearing on her face as she recalled her mum.

Maren nodded in agreement. "Me too, Astrid. You deserve closure and justice."

They proceeded to watch how Mattie’s screams and yells for Julain to save her filled the courtroom, but Julain remained seated, his expression calm and collected.

Astrid smiled to herself, so proud watching this moment. She mumbled under her breath, "Mom, I sent the one who had you killed to prison. I finally made her pay."

Tears pricked at the corners of Astrid’s eyes, and Maren quickly grabbed her, pulling her into a tight hug. "It’s all over, Astrid," Maren whispered. "You won. You finally beat the evil ones."

Astrid nodded her head in agreement, as she returned the embrace.

Just then, the doorbell rang, breaking the somber mood. Maren stared at Astrid.

"Expecting any guests?" Astrid shook her head, "Nope, and I am pretty sure Julian hasn’t left the courtroom."

Maren went to the door, as she opened it Becky, walked in, followed by several men carrying boxes and bags. Becky’s face lit up with a bright smile as she spotted Astrid.

"Who’s ready to cook with me?" Becky exclaimed, rushing towards Astrid.

Astrid squealed seeing Becky, "Mum!" Becky enveloped her in a warm hug.

"How is my favorite girl doing?" Astrid nodded, "Great mum.." Astrid nodded, feeling a sense of comfort with Becky’s presence.

"I feel sad knowing she is your favorite.." Becky turned to Maren and rolled her eyes.

"Hey... you are also my favorite.." she teased as she placed a small kiss on her forehead.

They all grinned at this, and Becky turned back to Astrid, "Dear, Hoe is Julain treating you?"

"Mum, he is the best I could ask for right now," Astrid replied excitedly.

"Well, guess who is staying the whole day with you?" Just then Zach and Desmond walked right inside.

"Dad!" Astrid squealed as they walked up to her, while Maren directed the men to take the boxes to the kitchen.

Desmond placed a gentle kiss on the head, followed by Zach who embraced her tightly.

"Is Julain being a jerk to you? You can tell me so I will straighten him out."

Astrid shook her head, smiling. Desmond grinned, "You are looking good as always." Demsonds teased and Astrid blushed.

"Enough! Of the praises... off to the kitchen!" Becky announced, moving behind to roll her wheelchair into the kitchen as they went to cook with Becky.

Almost an hour later the kitchen was filled with the sound of sizzling meat and laughter as they cooked up a storm.

Becky taught Astrid her famous lasagna recipe, and Astrid was amazed at how easily Becky whipped up the layers.

Desmond and Zach joined in, teasing each other about their cooking skills. Making them recall their youth days.

As they cooked, Astrid felt a sense of belonging, surrounded by the people she loved. Seeing she finally have the dad she has always craved, not only was she blessed with one but now two.

Becky on the other hand smiled at Astrid, her eyes shining with love, as she watched Astrid relate her technique also in cooking.

"Yay! I finally got it!" Astrid squealed excitedly as she dished her own set of lasagna, everyone cheered for her.

Becky almost has tears in her eyes seeing that familiar smell of her best friend on Astrid, her eyes shining with love.

She leaned closer to Astrid embracing her, "I will always be here for you, Astrid," she assured her, Astrid had thought her day would be sad because of Mattie

She thought she would cry her eyes out but her new family was helping her have a wonderful day.

As the kitchen filled with the aroma of freshly cooked food, the rest of the family members began to trickle in.

Julian walked into the kitchen, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on his wife.

She was smiling brightly as his mom taught her some more of her cooking techniques.

Astrid was so engrossed in the cooking process that she didn’t even notice Julain’s arrival until Maren turned to see him and Miles standing by the door.

"You are back!" Maren screamed and rushed into Miles’ arms.

Astrid turned to see Julain, her smile brightening as she spread her arms wide, the strong brave girl ready to show her talent already disappeared, right now she wanted to be pampered and spoiled like her husband always does.

Julain rushed over to her, embracing her tightly and placing kisses all over her face.

"I miss you," Astrid grumbled and Julain smiled, wiping the fake tears now rolling her eyes.

"Hey, we are here the whole time you can just turn on us now that your husband is here!" Maren argued but Astrid stuck her tongue out.

"You can tell yours to do the same." Maren scrunched up her face and Becky shook her head, a warm smile on her face.

"I have always wanted this life for myself and Elizabeth," she thought to herself. "I am so happy I can still have a token of our friendship."

After they finished cooking, the maids and Maren helped arrange the dishes, while Julain helped Astrid to her seat. Everyone gathered around the dining table, surrounded by the delicious food they had prepared.

As they were about to start eating, Donald walked in, a twinkle in his eye. "Anyone forgetting me?" he asked, his voice booming through the room.

Astrid squealed with delight, she wanted to rush over to her grandfather but her legs weren’t cooperating, "Easy my little girl.."

He told her walking toward her the moment he got to her she threw her arms around him.

"I missed you, Grandpa!" she exclaimed, as he kissed her face and hugged her tightly.

"I missed you too, sweetie," he replied, his voice filled with warmth. "I see you’re all having a feast without me!"

The room erupted in laughter as everyone welcomed Donald to the table. As they sat down to eat, Julain raised his glass.

"To family, friends, and good food!" he toasted, and everyone cheered and clinked their glasses together.

As they dug into their meal, the conversation flowed easily, with jokes and laughter filling the air. Desmond regaled them with stories of his latest adventures, while Zach teased him good-naturedly about his cooking skills.

Maren and Miles were deep in conversation, discussing their latest projects and sharing stories about their friends.

Becky and Donald chatted about old times, reminiscing about their childhood and sharing stories about their families.

Astrid listened intently, feeling grateful for the love and support that surrounded her. She felt like she was finally part of a real family, one that accepted her for who she was.

As they finished their meal and began to clear the table, Astrid finally spoke up, a nervous look on her face. "Guys, I have something to tell you," she let out and this got everyone’s attention.

Everyone turned to her, curious expressions on their faces. "What is it, sweetie?" Becky asked, concern etched on her face.

Astrid took a deep breath. "My finals are coming up, which means I will finally graduate soon," she announced.

"Wow! You are schooling again!" Maren yelled, feeling a bit betrayed.

"Wow! Astrid that hurt! I didn’t know about this!" Miles argued and turned to Julian who just fed her, not minding them.

"Julian... did you know about this?" Becky asked and he smiled, "Of course... She is my wife." Maren scoffed, still having that betrayal look.

"You told him but not me! How is that fair!?" Maren argued more and Astrid shot her an apology look.

"I am sorry, thought you figured that out." Marem snorted again, "Whatever! Get done with it and I am giving you more tasks to get you worked up."

"That is if my husband allows it!" Astrid taunted.

The whole table burst into wild laughter as they all enjoyed their feast.
