Accidental Marriage With Mr Billioniare
Chapter 30: EIFFEL TOWER

Chapter 30: EIFFEL TOWER

Julian could be seen trying to hold his anger as he dropped the call.

He had come to Astrid’s room because his mum wanted to speak with her only for her to drop another news.

She already arranged a dinner date for the Eiffel Tower, saying they couldn’t be in Paris and not go there.

He just wants to sit at home and deal with his business, he is weary already of the whole shit pulling up these days.

"Yo... you don’t have to go.." Astrid whispered, noticing how he was fuming mad.

She thought their kiss meant something to him the previous night, but his reaction was hurting her.

"Get dressed... we will be leaving," Julian let out about to walk out when Astrid pulled him by his shirt.

"Our Kiss last night? What does that mean?" Julian froze at her question.

He hadn’t thought for a bit that he had done something wrong; he didn’t care that they were supposed to talk about that topic.

He hadn’t said a word to her since the previous night until now.

He turned to Astrid, who looked at him in anticipation, "You know it means nothing between us right?"

Astrid felt her heart shatter, what was she supposed to think that he kissed her means he now likes her?

"Th... then why did you.." Julian traced his steps gently back to her and this made her a bit skeptical.

"Stay back..." she whispered she was heartbroken, he was the third man who had touched her the previous night.

She had only not gotten terrified by the whole situation because she felt he cared.

"I am your husband according to law... are you supposed to be kissed by someone else?" She gulped down nervously.

"No... Not even a bit?" she implored, Julian scoffed.

"We both know I can’t be with you, I almost lost shit last night because of your little scandal... and all you care about is a kiss?"

"I am sorry," she muttered.

"I told..."

"Yes, I know... if it gets you mad then I am going to repeat it over and over again." She proclaimed calmly.

Julian stared at her in shock, this was the second time he had seen her this way.

"I lost the necklace last night," she changed the topic like she hadn’t just cursed at him.

He stared at her for a few seconds and then sighed, "So... you want to go back to search for it?"

She didn’t respond so he added, "It’s not your first time destroying a gift you can’t afford so you don’t have to care about it."

Astrid was annoyed at this, they weren’t her fault. She went to the door opening wide, "Leave... I need to get dressed for the so-called outing,"

"What?" He asked, still in shock.

"Oh... you can bring your girl with you if you aren’t satisfied..." she added now pushing him out of her room and slamming the door against him before he could talk.

*******

Julian’s car drove into the vicinity of the Eiffel Tower, Astrid couldn’t help but be amazed by the beauty of seeing it from nearby.

They alighted from the car and luckily there was no press.

"Follow my lead and don’t do anything unreasonable," Astrid did as told with no reason to argue with him.

"Mr... Logan, welcome.." A Concierge lady greeted as she glanced at Astrid and the smile disappeared.

Astrid was not worried about her one bit and could only wrap her hands around Julian’s.

Then she led them both to the Elevator, "You are.."

"Don’t worry, I know what to do." Julian cut the lady off.

He stepped into the elevator along with Astrid, the gaze of the lady not leaving Astrid.

Astrid could tell it was the news from the previous night. "I am sorry for last night," Astrid finally let out for the first time they were together. She was still mad at him and she had refused to apologize.

"You don’t have to be sorry... we aren’t in love, just want you to stick to the rule," he replied and Astried felt a pin pierce her nerves.

As they stepped out of the elevator at the top of the Eiffel Tower, Astrid’s eyes widened in wonder.

"Oh, this is breathtaking!" Astrid whispered, staring at the view.

Julian smiled slightly, his eyes crinkling at the corners... watching her admire the view. He might not want to accept but he is mad at those pictures, seeing another man holding her was irritating him so much.

"I am glad you like it," he said, his voice a little softer than before.

They walked around the observation deck for more than an hour, taking in the stunning views of the city. Some people who knew them captured their beautiful moments.

While some ladies shamelessly talked down on Astrid and still went talking about being in Julian’s arms instead.

Astrid isn’t happy about this but at the same time agrees with them.

"Excuse me," another lady came forward, as they turned to the lady, "Your table is ready," the lady told them.

"Table?"

"Yeah, asked us to do so," She explained, pointing to Julian, and Astrid smiled at this.

Even though he does act cold towards her he still cares for her and that is what matters most.

"Let’s go," he let out as they found their way to the table the lady had arranged for them.

"Thanks, for this..." Astrid is appreciated as they both have their seats.

"It’s fine, I figured out you might be hungry, and we had a table booked already." he brushed off.

The meals were served, and Astrid, despite being unfamiliar with the dishes, eagerly served herself a portion.

Julian, however, simply stared at her with an amused glint in his eye, a snicker playing on his lips.

He was on the verge of commenting on her culinary choices when his phone rang, shrill and insistent.

Without checking the caller ID, Julian answered, his expression transforming from amusement to concern in an instant.

"What do you mean? She’s been crying? Why don’t you know what’s wrong with her?"

His tone was laced with urgency, and Astrid’s curiosity was piqued.

Astrid wanted to know what was wrong, but she dared not utter a word. Julian’s conversation was private, and she didn’t want to intrude.

She watched as his expression darkened, his eyes narrowing in frustration.

With a curt "I need to be somewhere," Julian ended the call and rose from his chair, his movements swift

"My chauffeur will pick you up," he said, already striding away from the table. Astrid felt a pang of disappointment, her heart sinking as she realized she was being left behind.

"Jul..." she began, but he was already gone, disappearing without a backward glance.

Astrid sighed, feeling a little deflated. She lifted her spoon, ready to take her first bite, when a familiar voice interrupted her.

"Can’t believe you could still eat even though you’ve been stood up," He taunted.

Astrid’s eyes snapped up, and her smile faltered as she met the gaze of the speaker.

"Stephan?"
