Chapter 215: THEIR LOVELY MORNING

Chapter 215: THEIR LOVELY MORNING

As Astrid slowly opened her eyes, she was met with a wave of soreness that seemed to radiate throughout her entire body.

She winced, as she recalled the events of the previous night. She wouldn’t lie she had enjoyed every bit of it, and she had no regret of it.

Speaking about that, she recalled Julain, "Julian.." she whispered.

She looked around, taking in her surroundings, and noticed that the bed sheets had been changed. She was also wearing a comfortable pair of pajamas, which she had no recollection of putting on. She needed no one to explain to her that Julian was behind it.

Astrid’s eyes scanned the room, searching for Julian, but he was nowhere to be found.

She felt a pang of sadness and loneliness, wishing that he was beside her. She tried to sit up, but a sharp pain shot through her body, making her gasp.

As she lay back down, her eyes fell upon a beautiful necklace that adorned her neck.

The necklace was a delicate, platinum chain that held a small, intricately designed pendant. The pendant was shaped like a pair of intertwined hearts, with the initials "A" and "J" engraved in elegant, cursive script.

Astrid’s eyes widened in wonder as she gazed at the necklace. She felt a wave of happiness and love, knowing that Julian must have given it to her.

Just then, Julian walked into the room, carrying a tray laden with food. "Good morning, my queen," he said, flashing a bright smile.

Astrid’s heart skipped a beat as she gazed at Julian. She felt a rush of love and adoration for the man who stood before her. "Good morning," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

Julian set the tray down on the table beside the bed. "I brought you some breakfast, having a feeling you will be exhausted," he said, gesturing to the array of food. "There’s scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and fresh fruit. And, of course, a glass of your favorite orange juice."

Astrid’s eyes widened as she took in the spread. "You didn’t have to do that," she said, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Julian.

Julian smiled and sat down beside her on the bed. "I needed to," he said, taking her hand in his. "I wanted to take care of you, to make sure you’re okay after last night."

Astrid felt a lump form in her throat as she gazed at Julian. She knew that she loved him, and she could see the love and adoration in his eyes as well but she couldn’t let him know she headlessly falling for him:

As Julian dropped the tray on the table, Astrid said, "I thought you left for work." She announced with a look of relief.

Julian smiled and replied, "I couldn’t leave you, not after our lovely night together." He sat down beside her on the bed, his eyes locked onto hers.

Astrid nodded, feeling a warmth spread through her chest. She was about to eat when he snatched the spoon.

"I will be the one to feed you, my queen," he announced, taking the first scoop and feeding her, his eyes never leaving hers.

With a big smile she accepted, if he wanted to treat her like a queen then she wanted it. She had wanted it for a long time.

He fed her every spoonful, his movements gentle and loving. Astrid felt like she was in a dream, being pampered and cared for by the man she loved.

As they finished eating, Julian told her, "Now, get some rest. I’ll go take care of the kitchen." He leaned in and kissed her forehead, his lips soft and gentle.

As he left, Astrid couldn’t help but feel happy at how he was spoiling her. She snuggled under the blankets, feeling grateful for Julian’s love and care.

She wasn’t ready to sleep so she pulled out her phone to check the news feed, scrolling through the headlines.

Her eyes widened as she saw the stock prices of the Adams’ company had drastically gone down.

She felt a pang of sadness, knowing they weren’t at fault, but their daughter’s actions had caused the downfall. Miles does every of his best to make the company stand but now Mattie is causing issues for them.

She continued scrolling through the news, her eyes landing on Mattie’s picture with a red cross marked through it. The headline read,

"Mattie’s New Role in Maren’s Upcoming Drama Series Leaked, But Fans Are Not Having It." Astrid’s curiosity got the better of her, and she began reading the comments.

People were calling Mattie a cheater, saying she didn’t deserve Julian. Someone in the comments said the only one who deserves Julaim is Astrid.

Astrid scrolled through the comments, reading more, and was a bit pleased with this. It’s the first time everyone has ever turned against Mattie and that was her goal, so he would pay for what she had done to her in the past.

Being a celebrity wasn’t easy, and the constant scrutiny could be overwhelming.

Just then, another message popped up: "JL Airlines is Opening Soon! Who Should Be the Face of the Airline?" Astrid smiled, thinking about the possibilities, she could leave them hanging, she thought.

Another message followed, stating that Adams’ stock had reduced by 25% due to the Mattie scandal, while JL stocks had increased by 18%. Astrid smiled, feeling a sense of satisfaction. It seemed like justice was finally being served.

Just then she pulled out her burner phone, her mind racing with thoughts of Mattie and the scandal.

She hadn’t messaged her since that day, knowing now that it was sure that Mattie wasn’t the daughter of Tonia. It was time she dug in, the time she uncovered the truth.

Astrid’s fingers flew across the keyboard as she typed out a message.

"Mattie... have you confirmed the news of you not being your parents’ biological daughter?" She hesitated for a moment, her finger hovering over the send button. And then, with a sense of trepidation, she sent the message, waiting with bated breath for Mattie’s response...
