Accidental Marriage With Mr Billioniare -
Chapter 202: THEIR FLIRT
Chapter 202: THEIR FLIRT
As they gathered at Donald’s mansion, the tension could be noticed. Mattie was still reeling from the humiliation she suffered in court, and Astrid’s smug expression only added fuel to the fire.
Donald, sensing the unease, finally spoke up. "What in the name of heck is going on here?"
Tonia pointed at Astrid without hesitation. "She’s the one, Dad. She’s behind all this."
Donald’s gaze shifted to Astrid, who sat serenely, her hands folded in her lap. "Why, Astrid? She’s your niece, the daughter of your sister. Are you fighting her like you always did with her mother?"
Tonia’s face reddened. "Dad, that’s not the point!"
But Donald’s attention had already shifted to Mattie. "Let’s talk about your daughter being with Stephan and Julian at the same time."
Tonia’s eyes flashed defensively. "Dad, why are you focusing on Mattie alone? She was scared to talk about it the day you brought it up, so she just went along with it."
Tonia’s gaze locked onto Julian’s, her voice dripping with venom. "Besides, he knew the baby wasn’t his, and he accused Mattie of cheating on him just to embarrass her."
Astrid’s eyes never left Mattie’s face, her expression unreadable. But beneath her calm exterior, a storm was brewing.
She couldn’t help but think of how Tonia had constantly criticized and belittled her just to protect her daughter. If her mother were alive, Astrid wondered if she would support her like this.
Julian finally spoke up, his voice laced with regret. "I did it so she wouldn’t feel embarrassed. Do you know how I felt, knowing the one I thought I loved had been cheating on me for years?"
The room fell silent, the only sound was the heavy breathing of the assembled group. Mattie’s eyes locked onto Julian’s, her expression a mix of anger and sadness.
Astrid’s eyes never left Mattie’s face, her gaze burning with an inner fire. This was far from over.
"Then you should have just said you know about it instead of making me embarrassed for the second time all because I love you!" Mattie fired back.
Julian stood on from his seat making everyone have the edge feeling, as a sardonic chuckle escaped her lip.
"Embarrassed? That was just a little to what you have done Mattie," Julain retorted.
"You know during that marriage ceremony when I grabbed her by her hand, without knowing who that was I felt connected with a soul, I should have just done what my parents wanted ever since that day."
"Julain!" Mattie yelled in pain and he darted his gaze between the mother and daughter.
"Isn’t the reason you came late on that day because you were with Stephan?" Julian asked and Mattie looked down again embarrassed.
"I get it now... that marriage was fate, and I stupidly acted gullible and almost lost her several times. This time I am not letting go..." Julian affirmed pulling Astrid up.
"You didn’t have respect for one my my granddaughter so that doesn’t mean I would be giving the other." Donald reminded Julian.
"Heard we are still married. So that means, I have every legal right to have her with me." Julian announced firmly
"Julain.." Donald called with so much authority while Desmond and Becky avoided gazes with them.
"I am not giving the blessing in your marriage with Astrid, I would rather give her to Rowan than you." Julian’s hand tightened around Astrid.
"I did my best so that I wouldn’t hurt Mattie by hurting the one my heart beat for... I wouldn’t let that affect me again." he pulled Astrid closer to him.
Julian’s eyes locked onto Mattie’s, his expression cold. "If you want to have her, you can go to court to get our divorce papers, and that’s if you can even get my signature on them."
With that, Julian turned and walked away, pulling Astrid by his side. Astrid, who didn’t want to be bothered arguing with Mattie, used this opportunity to leave with Julian.
As they stepped outside, Astrid pulled her hand free from Julian’s, massaging her wrist. "Let me go!"
"I am so sorry, I shouldn’t have hurt you that way," Julian apologized, but Astrid just rolled her eyes.
"We are still married?" Astrid asked, wanting to confirm what she had just heard, she was sure she submitted it to the Bureau office so she was surprised as to how he didn’t divorce her.
Julian nodded, his eyes locked onto hers. "We will talk about it at home."
Astrid’s expression turned mutinous. "I am not going to that stupid mansion with you."
Julian’s smile was charming. "Then we can go to yours."
Astrid’s gaze met Julian’s, her eyes flashing with anger, but she said nothing. Instead, she walked calmly to the car, which had just pulled up.
Julian helped her open the car door and she got in gracefully.
Just then her gaze met Mattie’s, who stood by the door, biting her lip. Astrid’s eyes locked onto Mattie’s, a triumphant glint sparkling in their depths. She winked at Mattie, a sly smile spreading across her face.
Julian also slid into the car beside her, his eyes locked onto hers. "Let’s talk about the divorce," Astrid announced, her voice cold. "You tricked me about the divorce."
Julian’s gaze met hers, his expression unrepentant. "That was what you wanted at the moment."
Astrid’s eyes flashed with anger. "Were you scared I might get married to someone else?" Julian’s smile was mocking. "I wouldn’t allow that."
Astrid’s eyes locked onto his, her gaze burning with intensity. Julian is a powerful man who got things done his way. But now, she wasn’t so sure.
"How? That... how the heck do you get things? You even know I was in Valtania and... you got extra keys to my apartment." Julian leaned closer to her, as a little smile played on his lips.
"I told you... I wasn’t letting you go again, I told you I got back my senses when you left."
"But you never did... you accepted that marriage..." but her words were left hanging when he placed a kiss on her lip and her eyes went wide as whipped down nervously.
"I have my way to handle things Astrid," She rolled her eyes and pushed him away.
"By making me angry?" he snickered at this, "I had planned sorting things with her after that night, but guess with you my plan doesn’t go the way I want since you also have yours."
"Yes.. And you will do whatever I want... including staying away from that bitch! Since I am still your wife!" Julian nodded his head.
"That includes you being close to Rowan, I hate seeing you too close." Astrid looked up at him and a dirty smirk played on her lips.
"Are you jealous?" Without hesitation, Julian nodded his head.
"I have always been jealous from the beginning just not admitting to it," he admitted truthfully and Astrid felt her heart flutter at this.
"That doesn’t stop you trying your hardest to mend my broken heart." Julian laughed out.
"Of course."
