Accidental Marriage With Mr Billioniare
Chapter 182: PLEASE FORGIVE ME

Chapter 182: PLEASE FORGIVE ME

Astrid woke up to Maren’s tickling fingers, she slapped it away but it continued.

"Hey Let’s jog around and get some exercise done! You need it!" Maren exclaimed into Astrid’s ears as she slapped her hands on her forehead.

She hadn’t gotten a good sleep for the night and was only trying to get one when she was woken by Maren.

"Fine!" she grumbled also seeing this as a way to get herself distracted from the crazy thought in her head.

Since Julian had shared the story about the horse-riding accident, she couldn’t shake off the feeling that something wasn’t quite right.

She is crazy to understand his story of getting indebted but that story wouldn’t leave her head. A similar incident had happened to her, where she saved a boy also...but the coincidence was unsettling.

Astrid had her bath, did the morning routine, and changed into her fitness outfit. Finally, she and Maren stepped out of her room.

There her gaze locked with that of Julian waiting for them, his eyes fixed on her with an adorable expression. Maren rolled her eyes. "Why did you let him in?" she asked, annoyed already.

Astrid shrugged. "I wasn’t going to let anyone fall sick in front of my house," she answered and Maren nodded in understanding, not pushing the issues again.

"Good morning... So, are we all going jogging together?" Julian asked, giving them a curious look.

"None of your concern. It’s morning already; you should leave. You have business to attend to." she retorted as she walked past him.

But Julian lingered. "I am less busy today," he replied, tagging along.

Maren raised an eyebrow. "You are always the busy type. What’s so different today?"

Julian swallowed hard, his eyes locked on Maren. "I won’t let you ruin my morning. I am here for Astrid." he asserted as they walked out of the house.

The warm sunlight cast a golden glow over the lush green grass of Astrid’s backyard as she, Maren, and Julian made their way to their morning exercise routine.

Astrid’s long, raven-black hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, while Maren’s bright smile illuminated her entire face.

But the moment Astrid’s eyes locked with Julian her little smile dissipated again.

"Why are you still here, go home... you are not even dress fit," Astrid announced but he didn’t listen to her, "I can just watch." he told her.

"Whatever.." Astrid let out as they began her little morning exercise she did when she was still in Valtania.

Maren also instructed Astrid on the various routines they would be doing. Astrid listened intently, her eyes focused on Maren’s demonstrations.

Julian, who had been quietly observing from the side, suddenly spoke up.

"Hey, can I join in on the exercises?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.

Astrid raised an eyebrow, her expression skeptical. "You weren’t invited."

But Julian didn’t listen. He pulled off his suit jacket, revealing his bare chest underneath. "Then I will invite myself." he let out.

Astrid’s eyes involuntarily flicked to his chiseled abs, and she felt a flutter in her chest so lost at his bare body.

Maren nudged her playfully. "Hey, eyes on the prize, Astrid, don’t fool yourself." Maren teased.

Astrid quickly looked away, her face flushing. Julian, however, seemed to have noticed Astrid’s gaze. He flexed his muscles, trying to tease her.

"Hey, Astrid, want to spot me while I do some push-ups?" he asked, grinning.

Astrid’s expression turned icy. "I would rather not."

Maren chuckled. "I think you’re barking up the wrong tree, Julian."

Julian’s grin faltered, but he quickly recovered. "Oh, I am just trying to keep things interesting and also make her laugh."

Astrid rolled her eyes and proceeded with her exercise, Julian also decided to do the same as Maren.

Just as they were getting into the rhythm of their routine, the peaceful atmosphere was disrupted by the sound of cars driving into the villa.

At first, it was just one or two, but soon a steady stream of vehicles flowed into the compound.

Astrid’s eyes narrowed, her expression growing increasingly annoyed. "What’s going on?" she demanded.

Maren and Julian exchanged a curious glance, but before they could respond, the sound of more cars driving in grew louder, filling the air, and came to a stop.

Astrid’s eyes widened in surprise as she recognized the cars. "It can’t be him, would he!"

Just then her grandfather stepped out, accompanied by Tonia, Mattie, and Miles leaving the three lads surprised.

Astrid approached her grandfather, showing respect, but before she could even greet him, Tonia strode forward and slapped her.

Donald’s face darkened, and he swiftly smacked Tonia back, his eyes blazing with anger. "How dare you do that in front of me?" he yelled, Astrid looked up and felt satisfied with this.

Tonia’s face turned red with rage. "Why would you embarrass me in front of this nothing?" she spat at her father.

Julian took a step forward, his fists clenched, but Astrid quickly grabbed his arm, stopping him.

She didn’t want anyone to get the wrong idea. If she needed to deal with Mattie, she’d do it her way, sly and calculated. After all, Mattie was the queen of playing innocent.

Astrid feigned tears, glancing up at Tonia with a pitiful expression. "Aunty, what have I done this time around?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Tonia’s anger boiled over. "Mattie called to say Julian hasn’t been coming home! Even yesterday she complained about it."

Tonia took in a deep breath as she tried to call her rage then proceeded, "Despite knowing your cousin is pregnant, you still decided to hook up with her man?"

Maren stepped forward, her voice firm and irritated "That’s not Astrid’s fault! If Mattie has anyone to blame, it should be Julian."

Astrid tried to intervene, but Maren slapped her hands away. "You’ve had enough from them both, Astrid! Slapping you without any confrontation? Why can’t Mattie keep her man in check?"

Tonia’s face turned purple with rage, and she raised her hand to slap Maren. But Miles quickly grabbed his mother’s wrist, stopping her.

Maren’s eyes flashed with anger, but Miles’ calm demeanor soothed the tension.

"Maren is my girl, Mum," he said firmly. "I won’t watch you disrespect her in front of me," he announced, making Tonia speechless.

"Did you just hold me that way because you want to defend a girl, not even your wife?" Mike nodded his head at this. "She will be my wife, get that stuck mum, stop giving her wrong ideas already."

Donald’s patience had worn thin at this moment.

"Julian, call your family!" he thundered. "We need to settle the wedding arrangements once and for all!"

Julian’s eyes widened, and he hesitated, glancing at Astrid, who nodded curtly.

He then turned to Mattie, his expression stern. "Fine, I will do that but..." he paused.

"You should be apologizing to Astrid for embarrassing her, not me. I am the one who came here, not Astrid forcing herself on me."

Mattie’s eyes widened in shock, her face pale. "What?" Mattie let out the shock.

"If you don’t kneel and beg for Astrid’s forgiveness, the wedding is off," Julian declared, his voice firm.

Tonia’s eyes flashed with indignation. "You asshole! My daughter will not do such a thing! She is pregnant." she spat.

Julian shrugged, his expression unyielding. "Then perhaps the wedding shouldn’t happen at all."

Tonia turned to Donald, expecting him to intervene, "Dad!" she called but he remained silent, his eyes fixed on Julian.

"If that’s what Julian wants, and Mattie is willing to do it, then so be it," Donald said finally, his voice neutral.

Tonia’s face turned red with rage, "No! She wouldn’t! Not for these things!" She yelled.

Mattie on the other hand, who is desperate to use the situation, seized the opportunity. She walked up to Astrid, her eyes pleading, and fell to her knees.

The air was electric with tension as Mattie’s knees hit the ground. Astrid’s expression held that of triumph.

The scene was frozen in time, the only sound was the heavy breathing of Mattie.

Her eyes locked onto Astrid’s, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Astrid, please forgive me..."
