A Regressor's Guide to the Frozen Apocalypse -
Chapter 93: He Is Fine
Chapter 93: He Is Fine
Light instantly fell on the body of the mutant zombie and he realised that it was difficult for him to move. He rotated himself on the mutant zombie body he was on and turned his face towards the sky.
The red sun and the falling snow were hitting his body.
He really couldn’t believe what had just happened, strangely the adrenaline in his body was still pushing him to get up and fight, but he had to stop.
As the red sun and falling snow fell on his body, he realised that he had to stop.
Even Light’s gas mask was covered with blood. He was so tired that there was no way to describe it.
The fact that his left leg above the knee and the area below the hip was in pain was starting to scare him inwardly.
This was because, with deep damage, he would no longer be able to walk and get close to his revenge. This frightened him incredibly.
Maybe for the first time in the last three months, he was really scared, this was something he didn’t want, he didn’t want to die or face any problems.
He was breathing deeply from exhaustion and trying to get rid of bad thoughts.
When he managed to force his hand to his waist, he straightened up a little took his radio and lay back down on the mutant zombie body. Then he switched it on and said, "Pacifica, I need a little help."
His words went out not only to Pacifica but to everyone on the frequency, in this case to every single person in Newtown who had a walkie-talkie.
With his words, after only two minutes, perhaps more than three hundred soldiers had gathered around Light.
As Pacifica and the others tried to figure out what was going on, Light’s words to them became specific:
"Those two mutant zombies over there are going to kill you when even I can’t."
Pacifica carefully walked over to Light and got down on her knees, asking, "Are you hurt?"
Light shook his head and replied, "My left leg, it’s incredibly bad."
Pacifica made it clear that everyone should disperse and gave Charles an order to carry Light. Soon Pacifica and Light entered the house that had been given to George.
As soon as Charles left the room, Light’s trousers were removed by Pacifica and then Pacifica herself began to check Light.
Pacifica was not a doctor, but she was trying to become one. It was possible to say that she worked in the ’med’ department at Oxford University.
That’s why she thought that she should at least control Light with the little knowledge she knew.
Pacifica’s face turned sour and tears came to her eyes when she saw the blow Light received on his leg. The young woman could see the pained expression on Light’s face.
Gently pressing Light’s leg, Pacifica paused when she saw that the painful expression on his face became more vivid, and then said, "You need to hold on a little, I can’t control the possibility of bone damage with my hand, but this does not apply to muscle, if the muscle is damaged, the bones may be in danger."
Light nodded his head despite all the pain he felt, and when Pacifica removed his mask, Light was able to start breathing a little easier.
Light was humiliating himself for not being able to avoid that attack despite all those speed statuses, but he did not praise himself at all for how well he used all those status points.
There were many power users in the world. Even though governments and such had fallen, people were still alive and well. The most special of these power users was of course Light, there would be no logic in denying it.
Each time his status points increased, he not only broke his limits, but he also had a power that could be at the top of other power users again and again.
At this moment, he was able to deflect every attack Jack could make and kill every zombie in Jack’s hand with his bare hands.
He had the speed, strength and endurance to kill even Tier 3 Mutant Zombies with his bare hands.
However, when a person died, how strong he was in life, how majestic he was, would have no meaning.
After all, even the most powerful emperor could be poisoned, even the most powerful commander would die with an arrow in the heart. This was also true for Light.
Maybe he wouldn’t be poisoned and maybe he would be able to dodge an arrow to the heart, but the dangers he would face were even greater.
"ARGH!!!"
Light groaned in pain and managed to keep himself pinned to the bed. He didn’t want to make things difficult for Pacifica.
He couldn’t believe what had happened on his birthday, he was supposed to be happy today, but what he had experienced had made him worse than dead.
Pacifica was carefully applying pressure to Light’s left leg, checking one by one where his nervous system travelled and trying to examine his muscles as gently as possible.
"Thank God..." Pacifica suddenly said.
When Light heard these words, he breathed a sigh of relief and said, "I hope it is not bad..."
"You’re perfectly healthy, you just need to rest, when we get back you can show yourself to Mr Andrei, maybe he can find something I can’t see. I can see your muscles are in good shape though, you have a very hardened body thanks to that system. Thank God you’re all right," Pacifica replied.
Tears were streaming down the young woman’s face, it was obvious that she was worried about her beloved Light, she had managed to keep herself calm all this time, Pacifica, thanks to her training...
With that, Pacifica radioed for Charles and then re-dressed Light and put him on one of the snowmobiles after he made him wear his mask again.
As one of the co-leaders of the Scavengers, Pacifica began barking orders. This young woman was doing a good job of letting everyone know what she was capable of.
