Chapter 81: You Should Know Young Man
"You’re a powerhouse, Jack, even if you don’t realise it now, you’re one of the few people who can stand by my side when I’m not around or when you need to come out with me. Don’t think of yourself as someone who has no responsibility, because the moment you walked through the first electric fence and wall you saw, the responsibility for this whole plot was handed over to you at the same time." Light said suddenly.
Jack didn’t know what to say in the face of these words, and Light’s voice was heard again:
"Thanks to my ability, there is not a single human being with a bad heart in this camp, in this compound. This means that every single person here is worth protecting. My goal is to ensure that no harm comes to my sister, but your goal is to ensure that no human being is harmed."
Light took a deep breath after these words and then said, "That’s why we will try everything to strengthen your ability so that everyone can stay safe. Don’t worry about supplies and such. You said you’ve barely slept for months, it’s a whole story that your body doesn’t need sleep, sleep and rest as much as possible. We need you to do this to protect everyone when the time comes."
Hearing these words clearly, Jack nodded his head up and down and then said "Yes sir" and went back to his tent. The same was true for Light. The group that had come from the Railway depot and Light’s first soldiers were keeping the group of 400 people in line and shining the rules.
This meant that Light could now rest. It was already night, he had to sleep.
After making sure that Jack had entered his tent, he entered the house and after switching on the security system, he went downstairs, this time to the basement.
The reason for this was that there was a bed and a bathroom here, in short, this could be considered partly as his room. On top of that, the fact that all the camera systems existed here would push Light to sleep here for a few days.
He checked the cameras for a while. He had seen many people starting to mingle, it seemed that the hierarchy within the plot had begun to form.
The soldiers of the Roan group, that is, this group of about two hundred people, would use the weapons given to them by Light, of course, this was something that would happen tomorrow.
Now they were waiting, armed with not very high-quality weapons.
The settlement had many rules. They included not stealing anything, not harassing or raping women or men, stating that any attack on children would be severely punished, and so on.
However, Light made it clear to everyone. People who would approach the house without his permission in any situation would receive huge penalties. The names that could approach the house without permission were as follows:
Leonard, Kyle, Duke, Aurora, Charles, Neo, Andrew, Lillia, Train Station Group Leader Allen, and finally one of the two doctors, Andrei himself. Of course, in this case, Jack was also among these people.
Jack’s tent and hut would be one of the compounds closest to the house. It was within a 500-metre zone, so Jack’s house was much further away from the personal houses to be built after the group started at 600 metres and beyond.
In short, Light managed to make his sister Petunia untouchable in the whole compound outside, and at the same time, he managed to increase the security of the house.
After all these works, he activated his radio in case of any problems and put it on the table next to his bed. Then he lay down on the bed, closed his eyes and managed to fall asleep in less than a minute.
Birmingham was abandoned.
A great power struggle would unfold in that region, which was all to the good, evil people would be eliminated, and the only sad thing was that those without evil in their hearts would die as well.
Still, Light couldn’t save everyone, he had never intended to do such a thing. It would be much better for him to protect his sister and take his revenge step by step.
It would not be wrong to say that the next time he saw Percy and the others, he was energetically waiting to tear their heads off with his own hands.
When he opened his eyes again, he could see from the cameras that the day had already dawned. He was on his feet in an instant and after a quick shower, he dressed and went upstairs.
Lawrence seemed to have already prepared breakfast.
As Light sat down at the table, he could see the looks he was getting from the three women sitting at the other three ends of the table.
The fact that Pacifica and Elise were sitting next to each other meant that they were starting to mingle, which was a good thing in Light’s eyes.
Light briefly looked at his sister and saw that she was smiling. He didn’t have the energy to question what was going on.
When he had finished his breakfast, Lawrence placed a thermos, perhaps more than half a litre, in front of Light and said, "Your chocolate milk, sir, your birthday is coming up, and if I remember correctly, you loved the chocolate milk I made you."
Light smiled, albeit involuntarily, and then said, "That’s right, I do." and then put the thermos in his inventory.
He then turned to Pacifica and said, "I need you out there, I need you to come as one of the co-leaders of the Scavengers. We’ll be going somewhere else."
Pacifica, on the other hand, left her grumpy face at that moment and then shook her head and said, "I’ll be out in a minute."
Light shook his head when he heard these words, and then, this time wearing a gas mask instead of a plague mask, he headed for the door and went out.
Immediately he saw a few zombies and panicked, only to realise after a few seconds that these zombies belonged to Jack.
Jack seemed to be making his zombies carry the huge planks. The young boy didn’t seem to listen to Light, he was still working.
Light had to join them as soon as possible.
