Chapter 80: Even More Skills To Kill

[Tier 4 Mutant Shadow Zombie Essence

5% chance it will grant the Fade ability].

Light sent the mutant zombie essence down his throat as soon as he said all the prayers he could. He closed his eyes and wished he could ignore the system window that was forming in front of him.

He had seen the Fade ability, he had read about it, and he even wished he could save up his points and buy it.

He waited with his eyes closed for a few seconds, and when he opened his right eye a little, he was able to see what was written in the system window in front of him very easily.

He quickly got up from where he was sitting, his chair fell backwards, he slammed his hands on the table and stared at the system window in a dazed state without even managing to smile.

[Fade ability gained.]

[Fade(Active/Passive)

User presence will be reduced by 60% in dark environments.(Passive)

When the user uses the ability, the physical attributes of all zombies or humans of their choice will be reduced by 10%, up to a maximum of five.(Active)]

This ability was the perfect thing. Weakening enemies, strengthening Light himself. It really could be described in one word. It was a ’perfect’ ability.

Light had become the sole owner of this valuable - and while thinking about it, he was presenting the facts forward - ability. The Fade ability was an ability that could weaken mutant zombies, perhaps Tier 5 and above, and the church bastards that were likely to surround him.

This ability alone was worth tens of status points, he was certain of that.

He calmly ran his entire hand over his face and then took a deep breath, waiting for his rapidly beating heart to calm down.

After a short while, he put his chair back in its place and then sat down. After taking a deep breath, he looked towards the last essence on the work table and then picked it up.

[Tier 4 Mutant Hound Zombie Essence

8% chance of Hunt ability].

Light had no idea about this ability. He had neither seen it in System Shop nor heard about such a zombie, in short, it was something he had never encountered.

This meant that either System Shop didn’t have this ability, or Light was too weak to unlock it.

So gaining this ability would give him incredible power. So Light had already started praying.

Closing his eyes and tilting his head, he was praying to every religious figure he could think of. It was a strange thing, but he didn’t know which one he should pray to when the world had fallen into apocalypse.

It was enough for him to try his luck.

After only two minutes, he got up from the armchair he was sitting in and started to turn around in his room quite hard.

Indeed, with every step he was hitting his heel on the floor of the room. The fact that the floor directly below was the living room must have been quite a nuisance to Lawrence, Elise, Petunia and Pacifica downstairs.

It was nothing more than the stress of not wanting to lose such a gift.

Suddenly she stopped in her tracks, stood in front of the large mirror in the room and looked at herself. He instantly popped the pill into his mouth and swallowed it, closed his eyes and wished the same thing would happen again.

He wanted to succeed, he wished he had the talent.

This time he opened his eyes suddenly and then took a deep breath and said ’Thank God.’

[Hunt ability gained.]

[Hunt(Passive)

When the zombie or zombies attacked by the user fall below 20% health, the user will gain 30% speed against these zombies or zombies].

When Light looked at the properties of the ability, he was at the point of crying with joy. Without even moving a muscle, he had two abilities that would strengthen him against enemies.

He immediately left his room and then went downstairs to the living room and quickly lifted Elise into the air.

While Elise and the others in the room were trying to figure out what was going on, Light was already giving Elise a big hug.

"Cough...Cough..."

After Pacifica’s sudden cough, Light put Elise back on the couch with a shiver running down his shoulder and then said, "Thank you, Elise, I don’t know how I’m going to repay this debt."

Elise’s face looked sad instead of happy at these words.

"If you think you owe me something, you’re shattering my heart. It’s ridiculous to say that when I owe and devote my life to you." Elise said, looking sad.

Pacifica, on the other hand, suddenly got up from where she was sitting next to Elise and started to look at Light angrily.

It was as if the two of them had suddenly become Light’s enemies, the way both women looked at him was unbelievable.

Light turned to see what was happening to his sister and saw that even she had an angry expression on her face.

At that moment, he realised that he had to stop talking nonsense, and then he patted Elise’s cheek, saying, "Okay, I guess I thought wrong, I apologise."

Then he walked towards the door of the house and left the house. He was going to rest, but he did not want to be stabbed in his sleep by his sister.

When he came out of the house, he saw Jack, who had chosen to stand around his tent and tried to understand why he was still not trying to rest at this time of the night.

He put on his mask and started to make his way towards Jack.

"JACK!" he suddenly shouted. When the young boy’s gaze turned to Light, the light in the boy’s eyes became clear.

"Sir..." said Jack, gently approaching Light.

Light was well aware that Jack didn’t need to wear thick clothes because of his warm body, but he couldn’t help worrying about this boy.

"Aren’t you cold? Why didn’t you sleep?" Light suddenly asked.

Jack smiled and said, "The people I’ve been taking care of all this time are now staying in a different place from me, I’m the only one staying here, I mean near your house. It’s strange, I feel like I’m suddenly left in the middle of the road without any responsibility."

Light couldn’t help chuckling when he heard these words, it seemed like he had a lot to talk to this young man.
