Chapter 79: They Can Chose I Can’t Be Bothered
After another hour of wasting time, Light realised that it was late afternoon and finally returned home.
As he entered the house, he was greeted by the stares of Petunia and Pacifica.
"So...what’s going on?" Light suddenly questioned, and with that, Petunia jumped forward before Pacifica could speak.
"I didn’t know you were bringing your girlfriend?" Petunia suddenly complained.
Light shook his head left and right as if confused by these words and questioned "What?".
"We heard everything from Elise, that you went to hunt someone here just for that woman and more. I thought you were going to be with Pacifica," Petunia suddenly added.
Pacifica turned to Petunia with a red face after these words and Light spoke before she could say anything:
"Okay, first of all, this is not real, and if it was, this would be my love life, my dear precious sister. Secondly, I’m not smart enough to choose between Pacifica and Elise, they are both incredible women, let them choose." Light said. He knew that he was quite arrogant and rude, but he was not the one to worry about his love life, he had bigger responsibilities right now.
When Pacifica heard these words, she put her hand to her chin and questioned, "Do you want both of us?"
Light hesitated for a few seconds, unsure of what to say, and then said, "I didn’t say that...I guess?" as he stepped between the two of them and went to check on Elise.
Lawrence was gently changing the support on Elise’s leg.
Light came over to Elise and questioned, "Are you okay?" When Elise shook her head, Light turned to his sister and said, "I’m hoping you’ll give Elise one of the spare rooms."
When Petunia nodded, Light was preparing to leave when Elise’s voice was loud:
"Can you leave the bag with my things?"
When Elise asked this question, Light searched for the bag in his inventory and after finding it, he took it out and put it next to the sofa. Then Elise’s voice was heard again:
"There are shattered orbs in the big fanny pack inside the bag, the ones I collected for you, Light."
When Light heard these words, he quickly opened the bag and took the waist bag and looked inside, after the system windows opened one after another in front of his eyes, he quickly looked at Elise and then smiled and said, "These are really priceless, thank you very much."
Perhaps more than forty spheres were in his fanny pack. They were priceless, after all, it was not Light who fought for them, but others, in a way, he could gain power for free.
Most of these orbs were just status orbs, so there wasn’t much he could gain abilities from, but even just one status increase would be enough to take him completely beyond human limits.
Light wasn’t even considered a human right now. I mean, he was human, but his strength, speed, and endurance had already surpassed the human limit.
He had no idea what would happen when he became even stronger, he could only hope that everything would not turn into a mess.
After all, he didn’t know if he would turn into something else in the end. What if he turned into something like Percy and the others?
Would there be any point in getting stronger then?
These thoughts had been going round and round in his head in just five seconds. Light, who came to himself when his sister came to him, yawned and then said, "I’m tired, I won’t be seen for a while. Well I guess." and left the living room.
After going up to his room, he took a bath for a short time and finally came to himself and sat at the desk.
He immediately put his fanny pack on the table and started to examine the zombie essences that had already been removed one by one.
There were exactly 41 orbs, only two of which could provide abilities, so there were only two Tier 4 Mutant Zombie extracts.
All the remaining orbs were status only, the problem was that their status plus was very low.
[Tier 3 Mutant Tank Zombie Essence
Provides 0.5 Dexterity.]
[Tier 3 Mutant Ground Zombie Essence
Provides 0.5 Agility].
He had 39 such mutant zombie extracts in his possession, and on top of that, he didn’t know if everything was certain.
After all, the extracts had failed before, he just hoped it wouldn’t be the same this time, and now that the strange church was involved, he needed to get stronger.
Without waiting, he began to use all the extracts. After swallowing the essences one after the other, he was officially full, it was obvious that the essences that started to disappear down his throat made him stronger.
When he opened the status window, he saw that 3 was added to the intelligence status, 3 was added to the dexterity status and 4 was added to the strength status.
This meant that only 10 of the 39 essences had worked.
This might seem like an incredibly small number, but it was an addition equal to 10 levels, and the fact that just three points would make a zombie much better at killing a zombie was a testament to the perfection of the situation.
However, it was now down to the last two essences.
Light brought both essences in front of him and then shook his head left and right, looking at the essence on the right, the chances were very low, both essences had less than a 10% chance of winning, but both essences gave excellent abilities.
Now there was only one thing left for him to do. He took the essence he was looking at in his hand and then waited for a few seconds, saying dozens of prayers and wishing for luck that what he was about to do would bring him something.
The essence in his hand was too valuable, it was an ability sold for 60000 points in the System Shop, and it was only possible to gain this ability from Tier 4 Mutant Zombies.
