A Regressor's Guide to the Frozen Apocalypse -
Chapter 58: Scavengers Shall Survive
Chapter 58: Scavengers Shall Survive
After a long period of self-absorption, Light let himself sink into the armchair and gently embraced the slow snowfall that was falling on him. His gaze was filled with sadness, everything seemed to have gone wrong.
"Only 9...only 9 skill points...."
Light’s shout to himself just burst out. He had only managed to gain 9 skill points from the remaining 45 orbs. Of these 9 points, 2 went to Agility, 1 to Dexterity and the remaining 6 to Strenght. The Strength stat seemed to have almost reached the superhuman zone, and it was possible to achieve this with 7 skill points from levelling up.
That’s why Light didn’t wait at all and then loaded exactly 4 skill points into his Strength stat, and then the huge pain he had been waiting for started to groan in his body.
He hadn’t felt such pain even when his Agility stat had reached the superhuman level, and Dexterity hadn’t caused him any pain at all, so why had Strenght brought him to the point of wishing to die?
He was biting his lip to keep from screaming, blood poured out of his mouth and his body was a dark colour.
The black particles falling from his body were incredibly disgusting, he could feel his clothes were sticky and that was why, even in pain, he took out a huge umbrella from his Sub-Space and put it on the snow, without stopping, he took off his clothes and sat back on the incredibly cold sofa.
His body seemed to be expelling a black substance. At the same time, Light could feel every one of his muscles being torn apart.
Light, whose muscles were constantly twitching, wished to scream in a gigantic way, but he didn’t want to worry his family even if he was far away.
If he was on the castle walls like before, he could let out a huge scream, but he didn’t want to drag the family members he had worried so far into a worse situation.
However, a deep hurricane of pain descended upon him. His body was not cold, on the contrary, it was literally on fire. The heat was so great that the snow that had previously fallen on the sofa had turned to water.
He was close to fainting, his eyes were getting darker and the pain in his body was getting worse, after a short time he closed his eyes as if he had stopped caring, and he seemed to accept fainting. At least he knew he wouldn’t feel much pain when he fainted, after all, it had happened before.

Light, whose eyes were suddenly opened again, just stared at his surroundings. The snow that had fallen on the umbrella had slipped off the umbrella and formed a wall around Light that would prevent him from the cold wind a little bit.
As soon as Light woke up, he realised that his body was very, very relaxed. He could officially feel the increase in strength in his muscles, he could officially realise his speed and endurance. It was as if he could use the full capacity of his body right now, it was a wonderful feeling.
However, not everything was happy after he glanced around again.
The seat was black, the table in front of him was black, and the border covered by the snow was covered with a solid black liquid.
Light couldn’t understand what was coming out of his body, but he was aware of the system window on his right:
[Superhuman Strenght
The user’s close-range attacks have become 10% more lethal].
As soon as he saw this window and closed it, another window opened in front of him, telling him why his body felt so fresh:
[Congratulations, honoured user. Your body in the tangible world has reached superhuman limits. You have managed to gain 100 per cent control over your strength, speed and endurance. Your body has been purified with the gift given to you by the system and you have earned a new achievement: [Passive Poison Resistance (passive)]. Future achievements and improvements will be revealed when you reach level 100. We wish the user good luck for future achievements.]
With that, Light realised for the first time that he had earned an achievement, he thought he could look at the details later because he was very aware that he had 3 more skill points, and he was very aware that it was possible to increase his Agility stat to 40 points. That’s why he pushed all the remaining points to Agility without thinking.
Just then, another system appeared in front of the window:
[Supherhuman Agility(MIDDLE)
The user will gain a +15 attack for his attacks.
The user’s attack speed will increase by 15%.
The user’s steps are lightened by 5%].
With that, Light thought back to the day he woke up. The words ’I can’t be this weak, can I?’ he had thought at the time had completely disappeared. He was completely sure that only zombies could oppose him now, and he could be considered the strongest person in the world.
"System Profile." Light said aloud, and this gifted him a perfect smile on his face, he couldn’t be more pleased with what he saw:

The apocalypse might have been a great danger for him, but at least it was no longer such a great danger. He had managed to live and with that he had managed to keep his sister, the only person he loved and trusted with all his heart, safe.
Still, even he realised, the apocalypse could not be underestimated. He had survived with what he knew so far and the six months he had survived before were almost up, he didn’t know what would happen after that time and that made it a perfect danger.
The fallen government and its minions were still in hiding, dozens of murderous factions, dozens of friendly factions, the trio he needed to avenge but couldn’t find, and even other governments. He had to make his territory...
The Scavengers had to survive. Beyond the darkness, in the vast worldscape lit by the red sun, they were the ones who had to stay the highest.
The Scavengers had to survive to the end, it had to happen.
