"My lord, should we commence the plan?" a man shrouded in black, dressed like a ninja in the middle of the day, asked respectfully as he looked at the taller man who stood like a ramrod. His gaze seemed to be reaching quite a distance.

"Did everyone manage to get here?" the taller man dressed in simple blue robes asked, his voice sounding very gentle.

"The first group is already settled. We are still waiting for other groups since they took different routes."

"That’s good then. Let’s wait for everyone to arrive first. Now tell me, what did you find about her?" the man asked, his eyes narrowing as he turned to face the man dressed in black.

When the man heard the question, he immediately stood respectfully and looked at the man directly, since that was something, he instilled in all of them. When reporting a serious matter and he was looking at you, the reporter was required to gaze into those deep eyes and report whatever was required of them.

After doing that for years, that piercing gaze was no longer as scary as it used to be. As long as one was honest and reported truthfully, no harm would befall them. So why become a scaredy cat?

Besides, the issue he was asked to investigate was an interesting matter. He couldn’t wait to report his findings. He just hoped that his master would calm down upon hearing what he had to deliver.

"Master, I have used all channels we have around the continent and I can surely say that the Mistress’s past is very mysterious. It’s like she appeared out of nowhere. Hearing all that, the taller man narrowed his eyes as he thought of something. After a while, he asked the black-dressed man, "Before this, you didn’t find any news of her being married before or having any family?"

"I would be lying if I said I heard it, but there is nothing."

Hearing that, the man’s brows furrowed deeper. Honestly, he didn’t know what to say and how to take what he was hearing. His mind had been shrouded in confusion, and even after hearing the detailed investigation from his man, he remained doubtful.

"Just remain low and make sure she doesn’t see you or suspect you."

"Is she that strong?"

"Since you have found what you want, why don’t we just take it and leave?"

The black-dressed man shuddered as he thought of how crazy this mistress was for her to manage to do that to his master without getting recuperation.

"I will inform the men to be careful."

After talking to the black-dressed man for a while, the taller man suddenly waved his hand and a breeze of cold air seemed to have passed where they were both standing.

Moments later, the man in the back suddenly disappeared, only to reappear moments later, in his hands holding two rabbits and two pheasants.

The taller man took the four carcasses and smiled suddenly, "wifey will be happy when she sees this!" saying as he started walking without saying a word to the man in black.

The man in black, seeing the silly smile on his master’s face, couldn’t help but shudder.
